Instead, it should be based on having a large majority of the players spending a minimal amount (something like $5-$10 a month).

They totally miss the boat that they can't replace whales by bullying F2P/low-spenders into spending more.

Matchmaking is not broken, it works exactly how they programmed it to hence it will never get better or be "repaired".

It is not a bug that some whale alliance gets to fight 10 times weaker team in RR, it is on purpose

Matchmaking that works like we want it (making evenly matched fights across all events) would negate a need to spend and be powerfull. With even matching no matter if you spent little or spent enough to buy a Lambo you would still be facing tough opponents and PoW changes from having evenly powered marches show how much some of big spenders like even matches :p

What is so annoying is that many f2p would willingly spend a few dollars a month if they got a good value for it. Instead of bleeding a whale, they have an endless number of f2p that they could market to.

Doomsday open in my opinion is an event designed specifically for the large spenders who gathered together in the same alliance. Doomsday open is even worse now than ever before due to the ability to state transfer. The limitations set in place by State of Survival do not limit a state from becoming an all mighty king of the game. State merge was bad, but state transfer is worse.
The bracket tier format "high seed low seed" matching system for doomsday open is no fun for anyone who is a weaker alliance trying to participate in the event. Due to this style of matching, with 256 or even 512 registered alliances, I can predict with 87.5% accuracy or greater who the remaining 8 alliances will be. If I can narrow down 512 alliances, to 8 with 87.5% accuracy or better, the system is flawed, it's rigged for the spenders to have an easier progression until the final weeks of the event.
And to further mention, doomsday open (formerly known as reservoir league) has a "break" in the middle of the duration of the season. This "break" is not a break from the event but it's to break your bank account because every season there is some form of update and new release which, if you want to win doomsday open, you must spend to achieve. This is a horrible business practice, a horrifying way to treat PEOPLE (YES WE ARE PEOPLE) down right low, dirty, discusting behavior from a once upon a billion dollar game. It makes me laugh everytime I see the current revenue information for State of Survival. The greediness and discusting deceitful scam tactics used by the company are the reason people are quitting your game just as fast as they joined it 4 years ago. They aren't leaving because the game is boring. They are leaving the game because they are tired of the disrespectful treatment towards them as human being.

I've said it multiple times, but the dropping revenue for F+ shows that players are speaking with their wallets. The problem, however, is that the devs are responding it a completely baffling way to it.

I think they have the concept on track in reducing outlay, the problem is the value within them, Some are actually not bad, but on the whole they are not great value for money.

The problem is and funnily I've just had this same conversation earlier is that how the game worked 2 years ago, its not how it is now and that's the issue they cant' see. Most people want to spend the same or less, and get more, not spend more to maintain (or get less)

I understand you, and I can see from your profile your a gamer yourself, however you have to detach yourself from other games, organisations and industries, because FP are heavily geared towards abusing the mobile monetization and microtransaction model, despite how many times people keep pushing back at them they never change

Most games out there have some sort of static ceiling to spending. It might fluctuate a little bit but it revolves near same number each month. So keeping up being top costs you same amount each month. In SoS tho it does not exist, every next month is more expensive than previous ones.

And then, I come back to the same point that others have also made in that spending is to aid progression, not to hold exclusivity or create an "Us and Them" scenario. Spending simply ensures that where it might take a F2P player 1 year to achieve level 200 in a Behemoth, a P2P player can do it in 3 or 6 months.

New game - unknown brand - fool thousands with 3rd party marketing + tie-up with developed brand for smooth flow of low cost player acquisition - follow up with low cost affordable gaming for the initial year to build addiction.

3-4 years down the line - enough of the whales acquired run dry, game gets a bad rep, cost of acquisition rises, retention costs are worse, new event design to keep bored mids invested is high too. No novelty factor. Start moving to a new game, cut costs, push pack pricing higher to capitalise on addicts. Funnel it all to new titles - make sure new titles' players never know of prior brands through platform rules and switching company name if necessary.

SoS isn't even the first one they did it with. It's the 4th or 5th game of theirs they repeated the formula with. Just went way over their head cuz of the pandemic.

Once the pandemic happened and companies realized they could make a ton of money very quickly, they didn't stop to consider the ethics regarding if they should and how it would be once people had less time and money available (real life came back).

And now FunPlus, despite a brief rise in revenue at the end of 2023 due to concurrent high price events at key points in the year, is overall experiencing dropping revenue. If they think releasing a bunch of stuff this quarter is gonna start their 2024 off with a bang, they're gonna be disappointed.

They're still not listening to their community and still dead set on doing the wrong things, so... There it is.

It does make more sense when looked at this way. They have SoS in a "maintenance mode" where they put minimal effort in.

They do a few activities now and again to keep people interested, but the vast majority of their effort is being channeled into new ventures.

Yes,youll be slightly behind. But if you follow feedback, you'll know who to upgrade fast. And being maps + voucher for cheaper + rays, you can fairly get a strong Carlos in a very very very short time.
Yes, initially you'll be weaker and limited in how you play with your defense heroes on wall. That's a given. And KOH will be bad too, for 1 month. That sucks too. But then by the next KOH you'll have 2 strong marches easily.
You're not forced to play survivor Royale, save your tickets and do it later, migo not here right now.
Heroes only mean a lot for the rally lead, and defense your base. And solo hit players.
OK, so, low level heroes means you can't actively hunt in rr or svs without a lead for 1 its not the end of the world. The average player right now still focusing on Carlos and Evelyn. Most not red yet either.
Easy to rack up some rank and have them 2 bada.... And you'll be strong not whale strong. But able to defend or attack many as if you never skipped these heroes to begin with.

Now it is all the same for all the states, so the states that skipped are still in a bad place.

No compensation for the missed rewards when matched against states that didn’t skip anything

Leaving those tokens for us, to be for Gen 13 14. Many I know went for Maddie because of a bunch of videos, which makes her just as useless for us in tokens & vouchers
So that leaves you with the options of Nikola, Wolfe, Jeb.
No trish, no lucky.
Ok.so we can boost up one of them quick. Just as quick as you can but with Carlos. Or Evelyn. Or, you chose Gen 16 hero, because higher stats, and for most, they're not upgraded for crap for many players 🤣
So, you're upgrades of gen 16 will match ours. But once we spin the slots enough we have the 2 we can upgrade same time as you would. Then, could easily be improving your 2nd March in future rays events, where as we would be improving our 3rd March. So yeah, you're behind. But skip 3 gens and be only 1 Gen completely SOL on. That's not too bad tbh. 🤣

The same can be said about 13 vs 14.

If you have the money to buy them when they come out, then you can buy them when they come out too 😂 if you buy 3, then go buy 3 like you normally do 😂, then you get 4 in events, that's 4 of the 9 you skipped and 3 of the latest generation, so 7 of 12. You have the advantage to pick 6 of the 9 heroes from vouchers and the rays tokens knowing, stats are the same, knowing who has been the better one to upgrade for a while. Yes, you have that advantage 😂
A brand new player in a brand new state has the advantage of knowing, who is better to focus on, and who to skip for many many many generations of heroes 😂 so yes, states that skipped gens gave that knowledge. Knowledge goes a long way. Spend for Jeb or spend for Carlos, not knowing would definitively hurt you here. 😂 Also know how the outcome will be WITH JEB HAVING FREE BOOSTED Stats already. Vs, having to figure that out, is been handed to you on a silver platter before you even got those heroes released in the state.

Did I say you had a full advantage, no. But there are a lot of disadvantages at first but a lot of advantages too.
In 3 months time we're pretty much going to be on equal ground here 😂 so in all actuality for player who did skip generations. They do have some advantages we never did.

Did I get trish really high, no. heroes at this rate 😂 not everyone in every state who didn't skip heroes has all of these 9 heroes at an amazing level with amazing stats. No, my trish isnt much better than Gen 12 😂 a few others in the alliance have Maddie just barely at purple. Many ignored lucky and went for Nikola because of all the frags they had to increase the skill level, so way more points in events than lucky who for us, was P2w or the 2.5 year in could buy in voucher option 😂

so, many don't have that good of a lucky. So that being a $ only hero is not that bad that you can't upgrade her.
Honestly, several of the heroes that were removed from the tokens were heroes that people didn't upgrade much of. So considering this, comparing the mid spender to a mid spender who skipped 3 generations at once, the player who didn't skip, they're heroes are just somewhat better than Gen 12. What's 300% difference anyhow when that 300% could literally be overcome by 1 single behemoth upgrade in the right category 😂

So, comparing a whale to a whale. That's a different story, because whales spend obviously. So they have all the heroes.
But you have only 3 behemoths for now at most.if you're entering Gen 17.
Gen 13.14.15. Same stats. Gen 16 slightly more.
Yeah, if you want all those heroes that's a ton to fork over for them. But.
Gen 12 whale with behemoths will beat a Gen 13 whale without behemoth.

Guess what, player skip has best Gen 12. (1 march behind player who don't skip)

If both players decide to spend 5,000 for heroes, guess what, everyone have all 13.14.15. Maxed 😂

If they don't spend. And they do equal stuff, guess what, player who skip state will have a very strong first March that will be competitive with theirs in some time not 50 thousand years like people make it sound.
Non skip 2nd March will be strong.
Skiped 2nd March will be weak.
(again, 1 March behind)

Well the only difference between hero/labyrinth challenges and migo challenges is that migo has events which give points and can occur at different hours in different states, like rr or daily Intel etc. That's why tie is possible. Hero challenges and labyrinth are refreshing at reset for everyone so nobody can say that he couldn't perform cause he was locked from activity, ye sure someone can say that timezones act as lock but it applies to everything.

There was no such thing as a tie in migo.
First to finish Intel basically for that day, got the highest rank. Even if there was 10 tied for rank 1. They were rank 1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8.9.10

The biggest complaint was. Intel refreshes at different times for different players so getting that task done faster than anyone else, is difficult. 😂

Now I'm not usually an overly cynical person, I believe that people dont go out of their way to deceive others, but this one is really interesting as the wording was that these wouldnt be avail again. The devs even sent mails to us all reminding us of the cut off date - thereby stimulating spending to those who wanted to level these 3 up. Don't get me wrong, my issue isnt the fact that I can continue to build these 3 (in fact - hoorah), my issue is the way the 3 were rolled out - giving the impression that you had to use 1 event to collect. Hello CrimMindD, a vehicle part is a resource that is used to acquire vehicles fragments. You can find those parts and any fragments that are gained from it via the War Factory building. For SotF in particular - using the vehicle parts will earn you bonus event points. Hope that helps!

The parts are not automatically converted. The vehicle part is a separate resource from the vehicle fragment. You can use the vehicle part to gain a chance at developing vehicle fragments, and sometimes even full vehicles (with luck). Once you have enough vehicle fragments, you can build a full vehicle. In SotF/SvS prep - using both the vehicle parts (to spawn fragments), as well as any subsequent fragments earned from them (assuming there are enough to building a full vehicle), will earn you points. Basically, using one resource feeds into the other.

Gen 9 was to be skipped before limitless. After limitless Derek is better than Laura. Especially after 3 skill changes where they deliberately nerfed Laura. Prior knowledge serves any purpose in focusing gens until f+ decides something isn't selling right.

And doing 7k hero challenges? Only 104 people across the state group of ours reached 7k in rankings lmao

Heck Anjelica works differently for newest states. Her non limitless skills Trump other resonance heroes. Doesn't work for old states. So planning based on prior info is at best half baked.

Funplus in fact told gen skip states that gen 13-15 were not important while boosting them all to equal stats. Hypocrites.

Saber and Nanami aren't able to control whether or not something like that is done in the game, but tell them how disrespectful and predatory it is of the company to first remove general resonating frags from being used in order to solely profit from RE bundles, mishandle the release of fragments and bundles, release a statement in the last weeks of the collaboration stating fragments would only be available in bundles and Gashapon, and then allow resonating fragments to once again be used after the event ends.
We aren't stupid, we know why these decisions happen, and the company is wrong for doing this time and again.

It's fine to be mad at the devs. A lot of us are, but if you reached the point of running a discord account themed about how angry you are at the devs, talk about your rage a lot, project the worst intentions on everyone around you, maybe it's time to take a step back and asses if that's the person you really want to be. Some won't agree with you about the way to improve things, and some of us know that if we stop playing our friend group will drift apart, maybe we still enjoy some parts of the game. It's okay for you to have your opinions but it's okay for people to disagree and not everyone is motivated by the worst.

How are you answering questions when Funplus don't even know the answers to our questions? Take the doomsday thing for example? When is it, can we leave the alliance once signed etc.

Me my-self I did spend with my own. We did help by answering question and a lot of things
For feedback, I know maybe it seems like not working, we trying our best to pass it out and the final result is on devs hand which is they need to be selected too can't agree with all the feedback but trust me they hear it. If you are mad or frustrating about it, please know that we are here just volunteer, and we did bug report too when we have problem, and we also submit feedback when we have ideas for something

Since you ask, I mostly try to give people in my state advice and help them make smart decisions, avoid wasting money, and try to have the best time with the friends we still have. I try to be nice to everyone and leave things better than I found them. For here, sometimes I post feedback and hope it resonates with enough people to get a response eventually, but I know I'm just one player out of many and I can't make the developers do anything. There's only so much any of us can do.
