You may have turned on Legacy Free Transform in your Preferences > General tab, you can turn that off to have it automatically constrain proportions instead of holding shift.

If it's not behaving like it usually does and you didn't change anything then you may have to reset preferences. You can also work with ensuring this is on before constraining if it's acting up

As far as I can see this is a process that helps your videocard drivers and not related to photoshop.

hmm, I've said this before, but it is considered a bit excessive, however I recommend keeping at least 100gb free

as far as I can find it's a bit of software used by nVidia to ensure your graphics card runs certain graphic heavy software well

you could try doing a clean install of your graphics card drivers to see if that solves that part

but as you mentioned you work on quite big files, I can imagine perhaps this is just a helper for that

@lunar summit : create a new document (or project) then you can:
Click and drag images from your files browser directly in your psd file,
or Click on File/Place Embedded... Then select the pictures your want to import.
Hope it will help.

I bothered to look into the "NFT's are bad" part of things a bit more to figure out if I want to be part of these type of things.

Mostly cause I was tired of not knowing what's going on with crypto currency in general and this one connects directly to the stuff I make. I also keep getting people go "why not go into NFT, get rich?". Just answering "it's bad for the environment" didn't cut it anymore.

So ... here's why I'm not interested:
To generate 1 NFT token it costs about 340 kWh. The equivalent of running a dishwasher for a year. The cost of this amount of energy is around €78,- / $90,-
The value of 1 NFT is currently set at €0,15 / $0.17.

Now, NFT items usually sell on Average for 30 NFT. That makes an average NFT worth €4,50 / $5,22. Meanwhile on the other end 30 NFT burns through ~ €2340,- / $2714,- of electricity. Which is roughly the amount of electricity a household uses a year.

So yeah ... after doing the math myself I can safely say I got a huge moral issue with crypto currency while not all energy is generated sustainably.

you can save locally at any time, so that shouldn't be a problem.
If you save the file into your local cloud folder of dropbox, onedrive, etc. it'll upload when that syncs up next time even with unstable internet.

I do the same with OneDrive at work.
the folder I use is basically my documents folder and it auto syncs to the work server's onedrive location

My sister in-law is a web designer and she came across this site from a tiktok. I was pretty impressed by how well it removed objects. It feels pretty damn close to Photoshop’s capabilities. Only issue is it only supports jpgs and I believe PNGs. Still an interesting take.

hi again I recommended Maddy's streams I think that will be good for the digital art side of Photoshop, there is not many challenges how take up that aspect. I look in to what he used on iPad and that is Photoshop, Fresco look the same on Windows and iPad on big deferens ther is no text tool on windows.

In my knowledge if you have a old 64 bit filter how was completable with a old version 64 bit version of Photoshop before CC versions, it will work in all 64bits CC Photoshops included PS2022

well .. on a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give it a 6.
in general it's a nice image, but beyond that it serves no purpose.
could make a nice background or perhaps a texture, but that's just me.

the marque tool is a basic tool in photoshop.
if you don't know where to find it, I suggest doing a basics course on photoshop first before diving deeper into this.

the circle marque can be found by right-clicking the rectangle marque tool which is the second one in the toolbar that looks like a dotted square.

This is not the right channel to ask a question use #❓ask-a-question next time. I will do a exception this time because this is not direct a Photoshop question but more a workflow.
If you are a lucky you can recovery it with a special program you can search for it on Internet via Google. But you can also be lucky to get some of your work if you saved backups regular what you can do at least every 30 min depended on if it is a important file or not. The best place to save is on extern NAS, or the Cloud.
if you not done that the work is lost.
