For using PS, Fresco and probably procreate I am really tempted to get an ipad air and pro pen (that does barrel roll, shadow, and tilt) for cheaper than the price of the ipad airs usual price. Is there any significant reason to, or not to? The wireless and portability of it are appealing. But I wonder about the screen refreshing at 60 hz when androids can be gotten for half the price that have 120hz. I assume that impacts the pen's lag.

Affinity on ipad is actually much better as it offers most of the desktop functions

Im using ipad pro with pro pencil so cant tell anything about performance and lag on ipad air

Yes, but those were temporary events. I used to moderate streams on Behance live, it happened once a week of one hour or two. A stream initiated by a random user could happen any time of the day, even when it's night time for you.

If you operate on a basis of a few friends coming together and VC from time to time, there's no need for moderation. You can more or less say what you want.
We're in a corporate environment, Adobe is liable to what is being said and done on their official servers, and will have to be done within the rules everybody has agreed on when entering the server.

I never been on the Blender official server, but I've been and left a few un-official ones, and those set the rules they want. Same for Reddit etc.

If you’re trying to export to gif if i remember you have to tick box with autoplay function

To export an autoplaying GIF in Photoshop, go to File > Export > Save for Web (Legacy), choose GIF as the file format, and set the Looping Options to "Forever". After selecting your desired color and quality settings, click Save to export the animated GIF file.

This is a 3D wireframe so the best bet if you want to do it in Photoshop would be to find a hand and just drw a mesh around the features, by hand. There is no specific capability to draw a mesh in Photoshop

If you want to create a hand like that so it looks the same without redrawing it, you'll need to create the hand in a 3D program and export the wireframe

You can find ready made models to use (either free or paid) but you will need to import them in a 3D software to see them anyway

That said you can use one of those hands as a reference and just retrace the lines in Photoshop. You just can't create it from scratch

There is no automatic way to do this in Photoshop (Photoshop is a software to draw and retouch photos so it's a dead end here!)

Also retracing from a reference doesn't necessarily qualify as "drawing", it's certainly easier to do that than to learn Blender IMHO

You just place an image found online and you create a new blank layer. On that new layer, you just go over the lines from the reference layer with a sharp brush and bob's your uncle.

Hi, while I would endorse learning new skills , getting a job with a slower learning curve between starting from scratch and offering paid work would be a better option. Look for student jobs in nearby stores, cafes, food joints. I took three years of studies before I could be on the job market, and since then, continuously learned stuff.

It's possible, however, as you said it's difficult unless you are dabbing in other stuff as well. IMHO, most people lack a business plan before lacking skills. Knowing how to run a business is probably the only reason why some people succeed and others fail.
Skills mean nothing if nobody knows about you, if the person holding those skills isn't ready to do the hard graft advertising their services, searching for clients, create a very good portfolio. Now, sustainable income means different things for different people. If it means your mortgage paid by your 40s, 2 cars, a one up one down in central London and 2 holidays a year, I would say no, unless you're lucky

If you're an artistic director, An account manager, a very highly skilled 3D animator, I think it's possible

In any case "graphic design" doesn't mean knowing how Photoshop works. You'll need to know how how the other graphic design software work (Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) alongside knowing your graphic design principles, and even that will put you in the camp of what is called an artworker. -> software skills

If you want to be a graphic designer, you need "artistic skills". Analytic skills, think "audience", "legibility"
Most people I see around who say they are graphic designers are in fact Artworkers: They take orders from someone who lay out the concept and they translate it into a piece of design.

Say that a client wants a very intricate item separated from its background, Gen AI can't do that with the same accuracy that I can, and for some clients, that counts

There is also the issue of people not wanting to have issues of copyright infringements (which - as a personal experience - is the issue most of my clients in the publishing industry have.
What you create using AI cannot be copyrighted (not going into details here, take it roughly) and it's a concern for them

I retouch images for photography who doing exhibitions, publish books etc... (sometimes even participate in awards)They usually take questions of IP very seriously... Granted some clients don't care, those are generally only driven by costs. And sometimes, it would just be silly or completely counter-productive NOT to use GenAI. It's a question of choosing the right tools for the right circumstances

That being said, and again, my own experience, nothing comes to the client straight from being touched by GenAI. It's always retouched after GenAI has done its thing.

I think it's possible, but you need to be good enough to be able to provide consistent quality. I mean depending on the kind of work you do.
A retoucher can earn quite a good salary if they're in the right company.

Otherwise Photoshop wouldn't sell. It's still a professional software, for professionnal people.

Going freelance, you'll need some business sense: finding clients etc...

I have been using Stripe quite regularly and I never had an issue. Not saying that it never happens, but they seem quite secure and they run check on potential scams as well.
fees look similar than PayPal, but less obscure

I don't have that experience, but I find PP fees rather difficult to get my head around, and also you need to make sure that people don't pay you with "friends and family" (it's generally a scam)

I have clients who used to pay with their Amex card and in that case PayPal used to levy an extra fee. But the thing is, you don't know with the type of card the client is going to pay. That's why I don't used PP anymore (unless the client have no other choice for some reason, and in that case I add 5% on top in their charge)

You pay the fees to the freelance platform, but in exchange you don't have money transfers issues like you describe. For example on Upwork you can decide to transfer your earnings directly to your bank account

Apart from that, I have no other solution. But Upwork will take 10% fees from your earnings, not 50%

You need to protect yourself and your work. If you absolutely have to show work to a client, watermark it so they can see it, but can't use it.

I didn't answer because I was assuming it was a close up of an bigger image. But I would take it to MS paint or similar , if the OP doesn't have Photoshop, and just paint with black (or whatever the exact colour is) on top of the white bits.
Unless the image have been compressed by Discord (that's a possibility) there is no real need for nuance there.
