Not all images are free obviously, you may have chosen a regular image (for example those at the bottom of the page are links to the regular, non free, selection.

beside all that, all major stock image platforms (Istock, Alamy etc) have a free section, but honestly, the Adobe one is where you'll find more choice for the free stuff.

All the platforms will require you to open a - free - account.

You need to move the hue slider, but also the saturation slider (red will likely be more saturated than pink) and the lightness slider as well. Red is darker than pink...basically, you need to play with all the sliders in order to get your result

Pink is a type of red, so really you shouldn't have to change the hue so much, it's more the rest that will have to change (when you click on the finger icon and click on the colour you want to change on the canvas, you'll see the red swatch highlighted in the Hue/Saturation panel. That means that the colour you chose is in the reds range

I was trying it on a friends computer to design a business card and the simplest tools for making selections have been destroyed. What happened? I can't select a circle and contract it's size without distortion. I can't even copy the layer and resize without cutting off the edges. wow. I'm sticking with my CS6.

I think I know why you're still using Photoshop 2024 in 2025 (soon to be 2026), and it's definitely the reason why it's not working properly, not because the official version “sucks”...
The best I can say: stick with CS6 if it works!... or update your PS with a genuine version 😉

like I said, I was trying someone else's, and they had paid for it but don't use it like I do. If this is anything like what I can expect from newer versions than why would I waste my money. updating from cs6 to cs25 or whatever isn't free. Everything's so AI focused these days, the computer does it for you, that basic tools are loosing functionality. can't even resize a circle without loosing its shape.

I just can say making an elipse selection and contract it by 45 pixels always gave me a smooth contracted elipse... Whatever version I used (PS 5.5 to nowdays)... How did you make your selection? with the elliptical marque tool?

Rasterizing the shape before selecting is the root cause of your issue.

Rasterizing it to cut out a circle seems drastic. Working non-destrucivly might help by using masks instead of destroying the shape by rasterizing and deleting parts of it. Once a vector shape has been rasterized it will pixelate and lose information. Try masking instead.

No problem, they misunderstood the message. It seems that creative cloud thinks that the file is already checked-out to someone.
Are you the only person working on that file? If not ask them to close the file, before you edit it, that’s what this promo is doing: avoid version conflicts.
Is it a file that was shared with you, or is it on your creative cloud? I’d try to log out and log back in from creative cloud.

Its a good skill to have. But you'll need to invest a fair amount of time into it. You'll want to get experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript as you'll need all 3 of these to manage a contemporary page.

You could ask ChatGPT to build you a self-contained, one page HTML/CSS/JS site with some image gallery functionality. Then a get 10 dollar host and push the page and images up there. But you'll still want to know what's going on "under-the-hood."

Reading about ChatGPT etc. helping code is probably the biggest driver for me to learn something as I don't want to be like a guy who can use Nana Banana but not do stuff in PS to make the masks right. And I actually desire the simple webpage design that I assume HTML can give me as opposed to contemporary. Literally very similar to Ren's but in my own way. But I definitely would have to change it to turn the song on as soon as the page is opened.

Perhaps you could try a slightly different approach:

• Work with smaller areas
• First, mask out all the areas you need to retouch using a layer mask and place a (darker) contrast layer underneath your image.

This will make it much easier to assess the areas that need retouching and use the clone stamp tool on the most obvious areas.

Hi, if you hold Ctrl as you use the move tool, it draws a marquee to pick different elements to be moved. But you did not show a fullscreen capture. You could to reset the tool by right-clicking on the leftmost icon in the Option Bar, and selecting “reset tool”

Affinity is ok-ish you can do a lot with it, it certainly is way behind in AI i reported few bugs myself

If I need to extend, I tend to use the crop tool with either "generative expand" or "content aware fill" set in the option bar

Then if the extend area is not top notch I will use the generative AI with a prompt, and/or retouch by hand

For my experience, if you need to extend a uniform background (ie studio) I prefer using the content aware fill because the GenAI expand will more often than not add stuff nobody asked for. It's also way quicker...

Yes, you have to change the language once in the Creative Cloud Desktop app and then install Photoshop again (don't forget to reset the language afterwards). An additional selection menu will then appear in the Preferences that allows you to switch between languages.

Hey, Anyone getting really high memory usage in PS? I have 32GB of RAM and just scaling some text makes it fill up really quick. My resolution for the project is only 800x368

I'm assuming it's 800 X 368 PIXELS. I know it sounds naff, but sometimes we need to check if you haven't mistakedly substitued pixels for inches (It happens to the best of us!)

It looks like something that could be done with a filter.
But you would need to draw those lines first, and then apply a filter on them. Of course the whole thing is to test which filter and which settings might work, but I'm thinking about

It is not "easy" in the sense that you need to have those lines drawn first, and also you need to be comfortable enough with the different filters and what they do, It is not complex once you know where to look for.

So I would honestly start with a few basic tutorials to understand how Photoshop work as a good foundation to stop getting frustrated. Then you can go wild! 😉

The best way to learn the foundamentals is to go to the magigying glass icon in Photoshop, which open a new pop up windows with tutorials. You can choose the level (in your case beginner) and follow along.
The great thing about those tutorials (as opposite to watching Youtube) is that you can guidance directly in the software, so you learn by doing.

Hi free space measured in megabytes is asking for problems, even without Photoshop open.

You do need to free LOTS of space, the very minimum is 6gigs for Photoshop: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/photoshop/using/scratch-disks-preferences.html
search in the /temp folder if you do not have rogue ***.pst scratch files.
Delete unneeded stuff in your downloads folder.

Thanks. I came up with a workaround. It's possible to use a ramdisk and set the scratchdisk to that and then photoshop doesn't need disk space free. Probably risking data loss but its not a big deal for this.

You’d be limited by the size of the ram disk, and Photoshop won’t be able to cache it as it does. Basically Photoshop uses a ramdisk: the ram is the cache of the scratch.

You are asking for trouble by leaving so few free space on your drives…

I just did a Christmas photoshoot outdoors with my 1 year old son and my dog. As you could imagine it was not easy getting them both to sit still. So I have some photos where my son is sitting perfectly but my dog isn't, vise versa, some with my dog sitting perfect some where my son isn't. If I understand you correctly: The reverse approach is possible in Photoshop. Use a CSV or tab-separated TXT file and the Variables and Datasheet function to create different results from your data file and a template.

Hello. "Adobe" is the company. Photoshop is a product of Adobe. Photoshop is not like Canva. Adobe Express would be more comparable to Canva where they offer design templates that you can edit. Photoshop is for creating and editing photos and other raster images (i.e. images made with pixels).

If you plan to have it done properly, Photoshop is not necessarily the best place to ask: Typically restaurant menus are made with InDesign
Also, since we're talking about a commercial project (and assuming you care a minimum about the quality of the stuff: Typography, copy editing/legibility etc) I would encourage you to ask in a proper freelancing platform, not "strangers over the internet"

I wouldn't say that about printers. Most printers I approached have been extremely helpful, even if I didn't buy anything in the end. Even now, they are always happy when you ask the right questions instead of just giving them crap files they cannot work on. They tend to be nerds in their own way, but I found, always willing to share their knowledge.
There are plenty of printers who do small runs, you need to search for those that do digital printing. I do a lot of limited runs, and mine usually start at 25 units. Of course the price per unit is not as low as with an offset printer, but you can't have your cake and eat it.

Yes, you just asked the wrong guys. Now they should have explained without being arrogant sure, but they really can't do what you ask (unless you are willing to pay for the machine set up. That part is integrated in the pricing per unit when you print 2000 enveloppe, because the final amount allows for it)

A very good digital printer (which is a colour laser printer to simplify) don't come exactly cheap

But a £300 laser printer could come close I guess

If you want to print on other media it's either thermal transfer or screenprinting

You could design a separated artwork into multiple stamps that you'd overlay yourself. It will take time and consistency to exactly print at the same place (and maybe DIYing a template from wood or similar)
Like one stamp for black
One stamp for red
One stamp for blue etc..
You need to find inspo from people who do multi colour linocut

the designing of the stamp with colour separation would be the trickest part
