Just an FYI - Here's a 'better' way to recreate that logo smoothly.

It uses better balance/accuracy etc -and because it's vector based, it can be blown up to be 10 miles across and the lines would still be 'perfect' and not blurry.

So this methods gets rid of the imperfections from the low res image right, if lines are not 100% rounded, then this makes sure they are, instead of the lines being 97% or 99.4% so not a true round then right?

I would start with an Exposure adjustment layer with an inverted mask and brush it on with a soft brush, low flow. If that didn't work I would try the same thing with Curves adjustment layer in addition or instead. I'd definitely try generation for the eyes. In case you need a reminder, blending modes work with adjustment layers and can help.

For example I have one on Behnace where I retouch 5 images. Someone who wants something simple and straightforward will simply click on that button and I will then ask 2 or 3 questions.
No lengthy contracts to sign, no fuss, I will retouch 5 photos, offer 2 rounds of revisisons, and we're done

And people who are only offering low paid work, with sub-standard results will only attract those.

in short, you get the clients you deserve.

If you find a niche, a certain type of higher paying client, I am absolutely sure you will earn a living, doing satisfactory work, to the client satisfaction and won't have to beg either for payment or for feedback.

You won't achieve that in 3 months, it takes time, trial and error and a lot of potential upskilling. The people in there for a quick buck will always get burned. And it's very important to learn to say no...

Adobe Fresco works on Ipad and also on Desktop, however Windows only for the Desktop. Windows based tablets are also supported (think Surface Pro etc)

I have Fresco installed on my desktop and I love it 🙂

I use both Fresco on my Ipad and my desktop, with a display tablet with Xpress keys. It's important to note that a display tablet may not be indispensable if you can work with your head held high, but I find express keys to be super useful to replace the gestures you will find on a tablet and avoid having to reach for the keyboard.

I appreciate the big screen to be honest, and even my display tablet is bigger than my Ipad (10" versus 13.3")

Most of us (say 99.99%) are volunteers here, the official channel for issues has always been the Adobe forum, that's where you can flag bugs, request features etc...

Not sure about other apps, I think most of the competition is Ipad only (affinity, Procreate) hence why Fresco is a good deal if you're not into Ipads (As a long time Windows user, Ipads are mostly awesome on the hardware front, but puzzling on the UI/UX front. For people who are used to be able to tweak everything on their device, I feel iOS is incredibly restictive, the screen is really good though, better than on a Windows tablet of the same price.
My main gripe is the lack of removable internal storage (ie: a SD card) you're stuck with working with what you got when you bought it, and using iCloud. Second gripe is the inability to transfer files from a Win computer to the iPad (and conversely). I have the iCloud app on my computer, but I always feel like I kill a tree when I transfer files on the cloud, while both devices physically 1 metre away from each others. Feel like an insane wastage of resources.

The QR cannot be too small or the camera won't be able to read the code. Also, it cannot be obscured in any way. Anything going over it or encroaching on the border will also cause it to fail.

You'll have to change your design to accommodate the QR so that it fits at the required size.

@timber anchor I had the same issue of size when I did mine and the only way is to test it. The best is to print it and test with your own phone (it mainly depends on the resolution of the lens, so it's hard to give you accaurate numbers)
If you don't have a printer, just show your design at 100% on the screen and try to scan it. It's not the same as printed but will be close enough

The best way to see it for yourself is to try it yourself, scan your QR code with your own phone (it works on contrast, it doesn't have to be black and white)

QR codes perform best when its black on white. The camera needs a lot of contrast. Some phones/cameras are better than others. To be safe, I would use black on a white background.

Using black on white ensures the widest compatibility.

There is an ugly smudge where the QR code is. it's not a good look for a new business. I would presonally use a template from Adobe Express and work from that instad of using an AI design that doesn't look neat.

I don't know really. There are probably 1000s (if not 10X more) templates in there and you'll have to undertake that kind of research yourself.

You are opening a business, you need to have a good think about what kind of mood you want to convey, and it starts by the choice of colours, the choice of font etc.
Not just what looks pretty.
Then you can make it look pretty if you want to.

So the thing is you need to take that into account. Basically, since I'm in the UK, I will explain based on what I experience here.
The minimum to charge would be

3x the minimum wage per hour (because you have to do other stuff that isn't paid: Accounting, learning new stuff, create and chase invoices, lots of tasks are not paid when you're a freelancer)
Cost of your taxes and contributions.
Cost of software
Cost of your hardware (+ phone and whatever you use to work), spread over the time period you use it.
Cost of marketing (for example: Facebook/instagram ads, business cards, attending networking events)
Put aside for days you're ill/unable to work

All those things would be covered by my boss if I was working in a company. As a freelancer I have to cover them...

I think a lot of it is down to how you use it. I for example use it for work. I can complete one well paid project for a client, and that alone covers the cost whole years subscription in one go.

If it was more for a hobby/interest, the price would be a hell of a lot harder to swallow.

I had the same, the team is on it. In the meantime, try to restart the computer, open Photoshop, go to preferences > performances > in the graphic processor set up "advanced settings> disable GPU compositing. It worked for me.

I would be suspicious of any device like that for computer graphics work unless it exceeds the recommended system requirements. A good laptop would seen like a better, more practical choice but that's just my opinion.

I would want system specs that EXCEED the RECOMMEDED requirements.

If they don't exceed the recommeded requirements, that would be the first strike against the purchase. (For me)

Then I would try to find reviews (actual confirmed purchaser reviews) like on Amazon where someone discusses using it with Photoshop. YouTube unboxing and use-case reviews would be another place I would be looking.

I'm just going to put this out there... I tried one last year with Photoshop and I didn't end up buying one. Portability: great! Performance: meh. The price didn't meet my expectations. Take that for what its worth.

If you can try one out somewhere, like BestBuy or MicroCenter, I would do that too. Good luck with the research!
