But your image is still far too large to be displayed completely on one page in Instagram without zoom. The different appearance is definitely due to the different display at different zoom levels.

I would suggest giving them a low quality (perhaps also smaller) preview with a watermark and send the proper file after receiving payment. Of course letting them know that's going to happen from the beginning. And on top of that, to be okay with doing it while there is still a chance that they might not end up paying you for whatever reason.

@onyx prawn's method is good - but you need some practice to draw the curves cleanly. That's why the method shown below is probably a little easier for beginners:

• Draw a rectangle.
• Round off the corners.
• Divide your rectangle.
• Use rounded caps.

I'll check it out. I like the original Tron story. When the Young Lebowski Jeff Bridges gets digitized and pulled down into the computer. In the light of contemporary movies, the original 80's Tron doesn't hold up well but at the time, they were pioneering computer graphics.

It just seems to me, (as someone who doesn't know about this thing) like this is something that doesn't have to be limited to websites. And I really was optimistic about there being an offline option before reading your replies.

You could create an app with a language that allows standalone applications, like C/C++. You create an exe. You ship it with two photos and when you click on it, it opens and displays the Juxtapose-like functionality. However, that presents a slew of problems. The largest of all would seem to be that its not trivial and would require you to code it. (Or pay someone to code it.)

A shadow is just the absence, or a lower amount of light.
So to create a shape that is a shadow, it's just a darker version of a colour that mixes the colour of the surface it falls onto, and the colour of the light that may still hit that same surface.
Imagine you want to create a text that is a shadow on the wall, on a scene illuminated by the sun, that shadow is just a blurred shape the colour of that wall, but way darker, with the sun adding to the original colour.
You got a good example in my screenshot, where you see that the light colours the shadow around the edges (This photo has 3 lights with different colours)

"Low quality" is directly proportional to the size of the image that is created. That's the same if its a person creating it or an AI image generator.

AI image geneators tend to be limited what they can generate in one pass. But that doesn't mean that all generated images are "low quality." They can be inpainted, outpainted and expanded or upscaled to improve detail, size, dimensions, etc.

I think you're speaking about someone typing something in and hitting the generate button and that's the end.

I don't know. You could try using an AI upscaler to increase line quality and such. Then use that image. However, it's such bad quality to begin with and upscalers have a tendency to change the image, its probably not even really worth the time. Put the time into creating the thing.

This is a software that was invented 35 years ago this year. The UI have changed a great deal during this time, but since it's a professional software, made for people earning a living from using it, you can't go round and make it new and shiny with every new trend. If anything I find it rather neat compared to the competition. (and I'm not saying there is no improvement to be had, there are...)

Some things you can't change like that, it would disturb the workflow of millions of pro users who rely on this.

There are always room for a more streamlined version, that you can find in Photoshop for the web for example.

Just a note on the legacy of Photoshop, it have been created to retouch photos, something that, prioir to the digital age, was undertaken by photographers and lab technicians, specialised in that sort of things. So it comes from a background in the traditional photo lab. Some things maybe don't make sense for people who never touched a camera, an enlarger, or been in a darkroom, but for those who did, those things make complete sense. Maybe it's the same for people who are sculptors (with clay) and use Zbrush for the first time (Or Substance Modeler), things have to align to their real life experience, and tools transfer from real clay to digital one.

I'm calling that the next big update (other than more generative fill models) is going to be a button that allows you to isolate the generative fill instead of having to rasterize it then mask it. To get rid of that excessive "stroke" of unintended generative fill.

What's the problem you're looking to solve? I don't recall having to rasterize a genFill.

I find myself doing it most the time I generate stuff to get access to the remove background button on the contectual taskbar, but usually just mask "the excess" myself. Most of the time my generations come more than I intended usually are well blended but I usually remove them.

I often use "Select Subject" on a genFill layer when I want to isolate the main thing I was adding (cat, alien dentist, mad pointillist), invert the selection, fill the mask with black. It solves the "you can't move it anywhere" issue, and gets rid of the extra mask area that genFill adds.

And now we have Harmonize, which is getting quite clever.

Thanks, I just tried that and it's significantly quicker than what I was doing. Possibly even more of an incentive to that than for movement purposes is using some kind of adjustment layer/effect later on during editing and the excess generation getting in the way (not being adjusted).

OK, so you might want to explore other design software as well. For example, depending on what's in your design, Photoshop may not be the best choice.
I would typically use Photoshop, for retouching photos, obviously, and work on raster-based illustrations.
My second software of choice will be Illustrator, that I will use for typography and preparation for print for leaflets, business cards, but also for vector Illustration.
Finally, if I ever need to do any multipage design (which I really rarely do), I would use indesign. That's for magazines, books layout, etc...

In my humble opinion, there are two aspects: Mastering the software. That's one thing you can easily do with tutorials or courses, if you prefer a structured learning. However it's only 30% of the story

You also need to understand the rules of graphic design (what works, what doesn't, what makes a design effective)
That bit is rarely touched upon in tutorials, and that's what really separate an OK design, from a good design that sells.

Also, you don't know if I'm any good in what I'm doing 😉

That's quite a big ask to be honest. Someone would have to recreate the 'S' in 'lights' and then also the perspective of the whole title would be off.
Additionally, I think the flame coming from the i in "light" makes way more sense than sticking it in the word 'mine'

Here is a short video for a workaround: 1st you'll need to change file extension from.txt to .svg, open it in Photoshop then follow the steps shown in the video...
If you want to modify directly in the code not sure you<re at the good place...

You can blur independently (Presumably at two different levels) and then lay one over the top of the other with a slight mask...

or....
You could combine them first, apply a blur over all of it, and then use the smart filters with a mask to blur just one side....

and then smart object THAT and do the same on the other side...

I do the bare minimum to keep up...Generative expand and remove tool in PS are enough for me now.
I use Firefly to generate images and nano banana works on it. That's all I need... I won't pay for a technolgy I'm mot excited about and what's more, it's not commercially safe... (Even if nowadays few people care about it).

AI generation is part of the industry now, regardless of a clients own preferences or beliefs. I think any (normal) person would appreciate you offering to show any previews or examples of your planned work, or approach before even asking for money.

If you are going to make original content, charge as that. Don't charge trump change and then use Ai or Canva or AI without even communicating with the buyer. I'm not against paying a designer the moneys worth of their product but I despise being lied to or misled. Turtle did not ask for payment upfront but the other guy did. Just be honest, creative and legit buyers will pay 10folds.
