I'm running the latest version of Photoshop. I can't reproduce this. I don't know what all of these Inner Shadow styles are doing but perhaps its related to that. Hard to tell.

it's happening to every object I try to make a clipping mask with, so I don't think it's the inner shadow. If I add a stroke or even a high opacity drop shadow basically the whole thing glitches out. Maybe updating could fix this?

Firstly, the unwanted image areas are removed. Then you can copy in parts and/or try out the generative fill.

If so, Opera is not supported and you'll have to use a browser like Chrome or Edge.

No idea if it's possible in Photoshop (Not writing big blocks of text with it) but in Indesign you can replace the Lorem Ipsum by something of your liking (You can with other page layout packages from the competition as well). I replaced mine for fun by an article about boar behaviour (Don't judge me, I love boars) until I forgot about it and presented a page mock up to a client and they weren't amused 😅. I've put the Lorem Ipsum back.

It's possible that they aren't even photographs. Maybe they were "generated" with an AI model.

Generate transparent PNG you mean ? I'd wager because the denoise takes place in an 8 bit 3 channel latent space with no additional channel in either the latent or the training data for transparency.

But that's just a guess based on how Stable Diffusion is built.

Colour grading is very subjective, there is no right or wrong, just a brief from you (or a client) about how it's supposed to look like, and ways to implement this brief.
There are resooources we can share about the general knowledge
How colour and light work, how different sliders in Lr affect different tones, how to read an histogram, about the importance of having a calibrated monitor, the different colour spaces. It can range to the very simple down to the rabbit hole of scientific papers.

If you want to get feedback on something you need to ask in #📝project-feedback , but we wary that "rate this" is largely futile. What if I don't like the subject but the skills are good?
What if the opposite?
Rating is not feedback, rating is an exercise in numbers: "I'm a 9/10 on the Photoshop server"
You will not grow in your practice with that kind of rating.

Contructive critique about particular aspects is helpful

So you need to ask about specific aspects you're either struggling with or explain the kind of effect you wanted to achieve and see if others have better ideas or find that you nailed it.

How does you file look when you see it, in Photoshop, with a 100% magification, instead of the 16.6% you got here?

The reason I ask, is that visualisation in PS, and particularly effects like noise are "approximate" (To put it nicely)
The rule is to always check at 100%, because 100% view is how it will look like whe you export it (even if the exported file is viewed at a different magnification)

It's difficult to see in your export, but what are the differences you see that makes you feel it's different? (I don't see much difference but it may be because the image is too small)

I see you're in 8 bits so all good there (sometimes 16 bits with effect don't translate well when exporting)

regarding the export method, some downsample it at 72 dpi, and it might affect the result of the export

it should look good if you go to file > save as and change the .psd to .png
It should also look good if you go to file > export as but that's not guaranteed.
It won't probably look good if you go "save for web - Legacy" (the clue's in the name) or quick export (PNG)

Pretty easy. Spot healing out the current buttons, go to paintbrush tool, soft media brushes, select the first one, make it pretty small, and draw what you want written. Then draw behind your current writing with a lighter color of a slightly larger size. Combine the two layers, resize it, apply the blending mode you see looks best, warp it to fit your space or apply a displacement map, and make other adjustments if need be.

If you want to recreate the lighting too, remove it with whichever tool youd like or just spot heal all of it, and make a white rectangle, outer glow/slight gaussian blur, warp it to match the angle of the eye, lower the opacity and pick a blending mode.

open another layer-> left panel select text -> double click on the layer (text layer) on the right. You'll find different blending options. Go to stroke. There you can resize the stroke size, color,.. as you wish. You can do the same for the rectangle layer

Hello! I'm trying to edit an image for a phone case and I'm wondering if there is a more effiecent way to cut out the image itself rather than mass erasing the background which is what I am doing currenlty.

right click your desired layer, select 'hue and saturation', under properties you can click finger tool if its for an individual part of the image and then change your color, or simply leave unselected for the whole image

you will have to create another layer for the color, do that first, there you can adjust the color (tell me if you dont know how). Now for your product go to the layer copy/paste crtl+c/v, there you can use the lasso tool on the left panel and freely make your selection all around it, once selected, go below and from there you can start your generative fill

after you have copy pasted your product, do the same for your color layer (blue, green,..). Then select the product and color layer and do a right click. There you can choose to merge those two layers together. From there use the lasso tool, etc ..

That is quite well equiped for everything that covers drawing and painting including watercolours etc, thanks to the serious crazy amount of brushes available. All this will be unlocked if you couple it with a decent graphic tablet (not necessarily an expensive one) as it's the only way to get pressure controls.
Those pressure control you don't need for pixel art though.

I have no idea because I haven't used Corel Painter since the 2000s (It came free with a scanner! ah the good old days)

For all the games assets like icons, and backgrounds I had to do, I used Illustrator. I cannot give you any info on Corel Draw because, first of all you're on the PHotoshop server (the official one, maintained by Adobe) and also because I have no clue if it would install on your machine .
You might want to try Inkscape which is an open source drawing program for vectors, BUT (and that's a big but) the interface is dreadful, and you won't be able to do half the stuff you can with Illustrator

but on the other hand it might work on the spud-maschine

I do Photo retouching (which isn't necessarily considered creative by most people) and even if I don't always admit it, I use a lot of the AI features (I used them before when the AI engine was called Sensei and nobody batted an eyelid)

I use it to streamline uninteresting tasks with no creative input, there are lots in any creative endaevor

Most schools block AI features. Some can be unblocked for specific courses. I think you nee to learn how to use it, but also learn what are the consequences.

In a school setting it makes sense because I think they want you to learn how things work, and then when students are released into the wild, they can decide what's worth automating or not

You can scale images in Photoshop. However, if its all one piece, you'd have to separate it into sections or objects that you can move around. This requires some basic Photoshop knowledge.

You can do scratchboard with Photoshop. Put a Gradient Layer in. Put a Solid Color Fill Layer with Black above it. Use a Layer Mask to scratch away the black. :D

That depends on what it is you're trying to remove. If you need to do special effects then its Adobe After Effects. That's closer to Photoshop but for video effects.
