yes, masking isn't always easy... double click the layer mask and using the window that pops up you can adjust mask feather, contrast, edge shift etc. give it a try

In order to suggest a course of action for you, you'd would need to describe what you mean by "logo" because there are a lot misconceptions about what a logo actually is. Proper logos are designed with vector graphics. And generally are created using simple shapes, text and a limited color palette. Some people say "logo" but what they really want is some text with flashy effects applied to them.

As I said, if you want to make a proper logo, the correct way would be to create the design with vector graphics. This means using simple shapes (constructed with anchor points) and filled with flat colors. What you're showing here is more of an illustration.

So I have to download another app to be able to delete the software from this company off my pc. How does Adobe get away with such bad software design, there is no excuse for this inefficiency

The CC Cleaner tool is a way to remove "all the Adobe apps" off the system when other methods aren't working. It is also used when you want a clean sweep and to start over.

Even if you access the trial you will need to input a payment method

What do you get when you check your Adobe Account? You can open one for free, it gives you access to all the free apps within the Creative Cloud suite (Adobe Express, Fresco, Adobe Stock free files etc)

It's a screen shot from an old Nintendo 64 game(Goldeneye), it's going to be used on a device with a fairly small screen so the resolution won't have a huge effect

The options screen actually zooms in a bit compared to the main menu, not cropped or stretched, just kind of how the game works

It won't reduce the quality if you design it directly at 32x32. It's when you design it at a larger (or smaller) size that you need to be careful about the way it's been enlarged or reduced. That's when you loose the quality (that's called interpolation)
Now, that's how it works for raster/pixel designs, but if you decide to draw the symbol in vector instead, then the result is fully scalable, meaning that you can enlarge or reduce the vector art without loosing anything. You can do that in Photoshop

I would try "dark" instead of Black... I suspect it picks up the red from somewhere else inside the selection so you may probably need to refine the selection. Or try in the middle as a test, as in, just select some hair area in the middle, making sure nothing else is selected

Or maybe it's just one of those things that the system can't grasp for some reason

But since you already have a selection and a correct amount of hair, it will probably be simpler to clip a Hue/Saturation layer to the layer that the generative fill generated, go to the red drop down menu and move the saturation to 0, and darken the whole thing. It should take 2 seconds

It’s a little harder to recreate on a logo than a letter (lots of empty space). Excuse the watermark - it’s the most recent version I have on my phone.

What I see missing is the double reflection (not sure the exaxct term) in the front face, something that is generally achived with the "satin" layer style

check this and see if you need to tweak the contour. See mine is is a bit wild, but you can either create your own or use the preset ones

The exact settings depends on the file itself (like size and bit depth)
Click on the little arrow of the contour to access the presets, or click on the thumbnail itself to access the curves to make your own

The image is also much brighter than your reference but I don't now if it's relevant

You can also use the info palette and the colour sampler tool and place the two images side by side

that way you can compare on the fly
