You're using the Classic Gradient. That is one-shot. You have to use the new style Gradient Tool which remains editable after creating it.

ive been having some trouble with applying a gradient map to a layer then merging it down

whenever i merge it, this happens:

i think it doesn't have to do with the image itself, it always applies that black zone with the same size no matter what

A Gradient Map maps the colors of the gradient to the tonal values of an image. Perhaps you just want a standard "Gradient" layer.

Its a 7-day free trial. I think the Generative Fill feature is available but I believe you have to be a subscriber to get the commercial license to use the images. You'd have to read the license agreement with it.

While you might be able to isolate the rider and move it to another layer, simply rotating it probably won't produce the desired results. Maybe with a "side view" it might be easier, but this is a three-quarter view and you can't simply rotate this and make the perspective look correct. Do you care if it looks fake?

So I’ve got rid of the X-Team but gonna have to have someone else do the text it was already hard enough to erase the X-Team considering I had to use a different texture pattern for my pen to even work on this and then have to use a air brush and be careful on how much I was applying but yea someone else will have to do the text

It is upscaling the image.

Toy story is a 3d film.
They render it in 3d software.
If they have project saved, they can re render it anytime.

In any size or fps.

But changing both fps and dimensions, affects footage.

Also, it is resource intensive process. You will need programs like Davinci resolve or Premiere pro.

Capcut android is too weak for that.

Using Gradient and blurr

Create a gradient layer of desired colors. Then duplicate it. Set the copy on color dodge. Then go to filter-Blur-gaussian blurr. Also, You can keep/delete orignal layer.

If you do not know how to create a gradient layer. Just download it from google. And then apply Blurr to it. And set it on Linear dodge.

hey guys, I am editing something and watching a video and I made the image I had a smart object, double clicked the little smart object icon to bring me to anothjer tab and it says any changes I make to it it will make it back to the original object, well I masked the person out, and then fixed a couple very minor facial blemishes and saved it, it didn't save to the other copy

In theory, that's correct. Think of a smart object as image in 'nested' inside another image. If you doubleclick it, you open the nested image. You then make your amends, hit save, and then it will update in the original image too.

This assumes you simply clicked SAVE and not 'save as copy, or export etc.

A decent thumbnail is critical for many youtubers. Moving forwards, if he's actually using them and getting videos with 1000's of views, consider how much time you're putting into them.

It's hard to judge, but if someone seriously approached me and asked me thumbnails, lets assume... I dunno, 1 a week?... I'd likely spend a couple of hours each time in consideration, amends, a few options etc, and quote maybe £80-100 each.

Obviously, location and size of client is a huge factor!

I wouldn't know books about latest trends. They tend to change every couple of years, Books take a long time to write so I'm not sure that the right medium for that (although I don't doubt there are some!)
I can recommend good books about Graphic design in general (I mean recent-ish books)
Typography, layout design, that kind of stuff

In all honesty, I try to stay realistic about my abilities, might it be in Graphic Design, Retouching, Languages or whatever. Otherwise you could feel I know the answer to it all. For example Photoshop. I think I started in earnest in 2002, and there's still tons I don't know. Plenty of stuff I don't even know exist. What those years give me is the ability to figure out a solution. Problem solving, but apart from that, no, I would even't say I'm "expert" in any sense.

I do. When the conversation needs to be a paragraph I always write whole sentence. Time when I press enter changes according to the person I am talking with. If I am comfortable I press enter so they dont have to wait. If its an help quote or I need to explain the process it is always long msg.

I would like to know how to apply that effect of exaggerated darkness, in the background and in the sky of a photo like this one. I tried to imitate this same photo at night by standing in the same place to the right and leaving everything else in view, but my camera takes the sky a bit gray or dark blue, and I don't want to completely darken the photo to for the sky to darken, I just want to darken in such a way that the sky and the background look completely black like this photo, how can I achieve it? This "effect" is just entirely different exposure. Open your photo in camera raw and decrease it, you can also decrease shadows and highlights

I told you the other day. You can't do this with Photoshop. Photoshop is for creating images. You can't create fonts or unicode characters with it.

You need a font designer

Like Fontself, Fontographer, Fontforge or Glyphs just to name a few

it's typically done with vector so Photoshop is not the app of choice to create them
with Fontself, you have to use Illustrator and use Fontself as a plugin module like in this screenshot
For the others, you'll need to create the symbols directly in the software.
Adobe doesn't currently have an app that is used to craete fonts or typable symbols
