You have to work hard to select characters with that blurry hand and create new outter glow, and you said you dont want a new glow but existing one selected.

What do you mean by "best"?...smoother? More "contrasty"?

contrasty, so that the facial features are visible clearly

Tricky to get contrast with treshold but you could try to add a level adjustment layer (or curve layer if you want more control) and play with settings and/or make your photo a Smart Object then go to Image/Adjustments/Shadows/Highlights... and play with settings... Be aware Threshold filter always gives harsh results. If you cannot get a result you like you will have not other choice than edit your source image to add contrast where you want (dodge and burn technique)... I added some screen shots to clarify my message. Hope it will help. Good luck!

Both Lenses are not so good for Close Ups. you should there look out for Macro Lenses. The 10-20mm range are pretty close to those with "Macro" in the title.

For the Shadow question you could brighten up the forground first and then put some shadows for the Charactes in. The Colors of the mountains I found pretty good match. You maybe could use the Colorpicker and retouch those Colors a bit imho.

Well, yes and no 😉 It all depends on how far away you want to be, how wide your angle should be and how deep your depth of filed should be, etc. As said that is MY preference and I'm good with that. In the end there is no right or wrong only what you choose to use and what results you get with the gear. Have fun.

The 24-70 f2.8 is surely one of the best lenses (Canon or Nikon). Most pro PhoTogs have the 24-70 and the 70-200 and thats all we need most of the time. The 18.55 ist the Standard Lens that gets mostly on the Consumer Cams as the Standard Lens shipped. For many/most of the day to day Photos in the Hobby aerea totally fine. As said it all depends on what you want and also how good the light is. The f1.x or f2.x Lenses can handle way darker Szenarios as the Consumer Lensed with f4.x or higher. If that not applies to you, becuase you shoot most of the time outside, its also no issue.

Well, as I said ... for me personally it would not be fine. The Image is way to unsharp, not detailed enough, etc. BUT that may be Ok for you or most of other Photographers.

A Flashlight can improve your Photographs and close the gap between Pro lenses with f1.x-2.x to your f4.x-5.x lenses, because you can get more light into the scene. BUT be aware that its not only a question of "bright light" but also how the light forms around your object. Things like Softbox, Umbrella, etc. will definitly be needet for some shots to improve the softness of the Flashlight as well.

best way is to test that out. go to a shop or whatever, put the lens on your cam, take some shots and compare it. Then you know how close you can get and how also the angle works for you. There are many Comparing videos on youtube you also can look at.

For Baby Shots your two Lenses will do fine. Be sure to focus ALWAYS on the Eyes. As long as the Eyes are in Focus and sharp all will be good 😉 When you place the Baby in front of a Window for soft Light and only place Flashlight from behind as Fill Light or if you have a very big softbox you will get most likely similar results as your sample photo. But do not forget to practice before the shoot itself 😉

Babys and childs will be hard to get! They will most likely not sit still and not do as they asked for 😉

Little Tipp: If possible look out for some kind of "Lens Animal". They come readymade on amazon or so OR you can build one of your own: Just search for a small, cute plush or plastik funny loking Animal. If possible with googly eyes or so. THEN you strap that Animal with a rubberband onto the front of your Camera Lens. Every Time you press the button so the Camera zooms the Animal will "dance" in front of your camera. So the Child will be happy and laughs at you and is always engaged with your camera.

UV Lens Protectors cam out of the Analog Times where UV Light wasn't that good for Film. Nowadays most Beginners use them to protect lenses against bumps and bruises, but when they break its a 50:50 Chance that they helped against anything vs. the broken Glas makes the mechanics of the lens and maybe camera unusable. If you not climbing Mountains IMHO those things are useless.

There are MUCH Gear out there that is not really needed, but people FEEL like they might need it (for whatever reason). A DSLR/DSLM Camera is not a Smartphone that you put in your trousers back pocket so that it could fall out and shatter that tiny screen or does it?! So IMHO Screen Protectors, extra gear that makes the camera "nicer" but not add any funtionality, etc. is not necessarry.

Tripod is always good also a good backpack/Messenger bag/Trolly depending on how you are on the road with your gear.

BUT do not invest on cheap Tripod or bag. Try to inform yourself what its best for your budget and get good gear. A 30,- Tripod will most definitly break after 2-3 times of usage and will be very shaky when the heavy camera is on it. It also does not have to be the most expensive one like Novoflex or Benro. But decent Ones like the Manfrotto 055 series with a good head would be Ok.

Exactly. Pictures and how to shoot comes first. What gear you really need and what next comes later. Always try things out before buying stuff. Most people will tell you to buy specific Things but that must not always apply to you and your way of shooting.

E.g. I'm more a Concert/Press/Event Photographer. Not much Landscape and a few Portrait things. So I do not need so much Lenses and Gear für Outdoor and also not so much Studio gear (but I have also a small Studio, but not using it commercially or so). So I do not use a Tripod much and also not really a Wideangle user.

What is good source for 4k images, transparent pngs for PS mockups.
I just discovered that if we want good 1920x1080 image, we should work on 4k, if we want 4k, we should work in 8k.

I am finding free images on Google, but end result is not so good, mostly sky and landscape images are kinda blurry.

When I compare to what is AI doing, it is low quality.

I know for freepik, but it has daily limit.

Maybe its a bit of both. Perhaps you can generate something, like an image of people in this style. Retouch it in Photoshop. Then Trace Bitmap in Illustrator to convert it to vector graphics.

If so, you can double click the mask layer and add a bit of feathering or shift the edge slightly.

I've also sometimes made a new layer, applied the same mask and then painted in the 'tips' with green so they're green instead of white!

Yes, I did an 'edge shift' which effectively 'cut off' the stems and it left bits floating in the air.

I assume the "weird" color comes from the "Chrome"-Effect on the Text. I would use the magic wand, mark the Background, make a new Layer and "fill" the areas where the Text is/was. Alternatively and when it should be better results I would try to find the (exact?) Font. Should be doable.

Ah, if you only want that "spots" remove I would try a mask and then shrink that mas by 1-2 Pixels and fill with black.

But be aware that those "Highlights" gave some little contour to the Text and that the dark gray is not that distinguisable from the black and it will be harder to read.

Hi! You can make these manually using the pen tool. Another way to do it would be to use the line width tool in Illustrator, which is very good for controlling the width while keeping a smooth flow.

Instead of adding strokes, you add fills. Not one line going through, but a shape that will have varying widths. You can have one stroke and build it up from there, but you will need to do fills for this to happen.

Since you know how to create strokes, it's almost the same process. Except instead of creating it into a stroke, you have to connect the path to where it started, then fill the path instead of turning it into a stroke. And you will be the one creating the width of the lines because that width is the shape of the path.

Most of the time, no. All Images are in one or another way Copyrighted. You have to ask the owner if you can use it. If the permission is given, all is good. Some people share their photos under the CreativeCommons license and then it's ok. Best way would be to use your own photos or Stock Photos like Adobe Stock.

I gave you a "solution" to your extremely vague question. Use a Layer Mask to hide pixels.

For that Image with that feathered kind of black arond the Image I would suggest first to use the magic wand or any kind of selection tool and go around that. This would get rid of most of the areas around the text. Then for the second step I would use the eraser brush for the areas around the person.

Do it like D.Human says or use the eraser Tool and erase the black away. be carefull and use small steps. And yes, there are tons of Tutorials about how to do that. Hope it helps.

It means you're trying to erase part of Layer but that Layer is hidden (because you've turned off the Layer in the Layers Panel).

Paint with black on the mask Layer to remove pixels.

most of wacom or Xencelabs Tablets can be configured as you like. If it should be a Graphics Tablet or a Display Tablet is up to you. Have fun.

Generally, the first requirement is it just a drawing device or display tablet (with a screen). Then its finding a device that fits within someone's budget. All other options are considered after that (since it probably won't matter which hand you use to draw on it).
