This is going to require some careful selection and masking techniques. Using a Select > Color Range. Then adding a Layer Mask and using Select and Mask and painting on the mask to refine it. You'd also have to figure out how much feathering you want around the various areas. For the cheek part, it might be easier to just remove it and repaint that area with a soft round brush.

If you look at the Select and Mask interface, you can shift edge and feather the mask. Sometimes it can help to soften the edge...

You'd probably want to do this first because the lips actually have a hard edge around them. In fact, you may want to isolate/separate the lips and work on those separately. There is a clear separation there. But I'm not sure what your goals/expectations are.

The white halo around the cheek is a bit problematic. That's why I suggested perhaps just repainting it. Alternatively, you could just isolate the cheek portion, move it to its own layer and use Blend If... and exclude the white pixels.

To be honest, I'm a bit concerned about how this will print on a shirt. Depending on the type of printing, you might have to change up the design to go with something that has clear color separations. You should talk to whomever is doing the shirts.

The Properties Panel changes based on what is selected in the GUI and the Layers Panel.

With a pixel layer selected, it will show Transform, Align, Quick Actions. With a text layer selected, it will show Transform, Character and Paragraph Options, etc.

Is that what you're missing or no? Because, honestly, I still have no idea what you're talking about. Perhaps it would be best to just switch back to one of the Saved Workspaces. Configurate the panels how you want them and then Save that Custom Workspace.

With a Saved Workspace, you can always just reset it if things go off the rails.

Another idea is the convert anchor tool

The Convert Point Tool — With the Pen tool (or Freeform Pen tool) selected, position the cursor over an anchor point and hold Option (Mac) | Alt (Win) to toggle the Pen tool to the Convert Point tool. Click on a curved point with the Convert Anchor Point tool to convert it to a corner point, click -drag with the Convert Anchor point to convert a corner point into a curved point. Click on a direction line with the Convert Anchor Point tool to break the direction lines (enabling you to reposition one independently of the another).

You could do this multiple ways I think. Not sure what your final output would be but you could always mask some gradient color in a separate layer

(I didn't really try very hard to 'cut out' just within his hairline, but you get the idea still....)

Im trying to think of ways to make the F more obvious without losing the mushroom design

as is, it doesnt look good monotone

I've been somewhat limited in what i can do with it by my knowledge of paths in PS. I would like to have each line be its own path so that I can edit each line seperately. To achieve the two tone effect above, I had to lay a raster over top of the stroked path.

for instance, I would like to have the stroke on the blue mushrooms a little thicker. I cant do this currently because it is one path

1. You can select each shape that you want to isolate and Ctrl J it onto its own layer. Then you can treat each layer however youd like. 2. You can alter the paths by using the direct selection tool. 3. I would also suggest working on the text. IMHO, its too bland. Perhaps select a bolder more artistic font, to match the artsy look of the mushrooms. Maybe put a frame around the text so you can use layer styles tools to amplify the oomph of the text.

Font selection is so critical to sending the message in your logo or a brand. I wouldnt be presumptuous and tell you what I like. But be creative try all sorts of different things. Wait until something hits right between the eyes and you say BINGO THATS IT.

Ctrl J this layer. Hide it and lock it to protect it. With the copy layer, make another copy. Delete all the lines except the line you want to isolate. Make a new layer of the complete design. Again delete all the lines except those you want for the second isolated design. Repeat this process to create separate layers with each segment of the design you want to treat separately.

Im not sure how you created the shapes, so I wont say. In retrospect, if you created each work path on a separate layer / as separate work paths, you could then work with each path independenatly. Im assuming you have them all as one path on one layer.

There are a few other differences as well. With a PSD file, the max document size is 30,000 x 30,000 pixels. A PSB file maxes out at 300,000 x 300,000 pixels.

what's the difference between Opacity and Fill in Layers

for me they're the same

They both change the transparency of a Layer. However, if the layer has a Layer Style applied, then the Opacity slider will affect everything, e.g. both the original pixels and the Layer Style. Changing the Fill value will only change the original pixels; it won't affect the Layer Styles at all.

i have a visual condition that makes it difficult for me to look at a screen that has bright colors against dark colors, so like a video of someone with a bright white staff running around a dark cave for example. some research has led me to the discovery that there are certain display settings that can be adjusted, like contrast and saturation. however i've stumbled upon this thing called selective color correction, which apparently gives you the ability to adjust certain colors of a display independently of others? im not sure exactly how that would be done though and i was looking to possibly find someone with a better understanding than mine

anyone had an error that PS starts, everything gray except the "Files, Window etc" toolbar on top, and when I try to go open--> Open Cloud Documents, It flashes and reoplens the local Explorer defaulted on Documents?

Clearing Preferences Fixes it for ONE launch

then If I close again and reopen, error comes back

best part is I can still open cloud documents with: Open Recent, Adobe Cloud and Adobe Cloud App, just not with Open in PS
