I have recently created a agency, very trivial and basic.
(Made last night, everything is theoretically ready)

I have started my planning process on leads as it's an SMMA focus, I would like to say experienced people are welcome but my worth won't match up to yours so it's most likely an ill use of your time.

The best course for learning Photoshop (IMHO) is the one by Deke McClelland on LinkedIn Learning. At least, its probably the most comprehensive. Going from beginner to mastery in 3 parts. However, LL requires a subscription.

(He also does a similar course on Adobe Illustrator.)

If there are just black and white pixels in the image, you could be able to use a simple Invert. Image > Adjustment > Invert. If there are more colors, multiple layers, additional things going on, it would be complicated.

This must be a joke. While Photoshop iPad cannot do this, it can be done with affinity photo. The year is 2023 and photoshop ipad did not bring this feature. But 2 years ago, affinity photo already has this feature. I'm about to go crazy. While PSD belongs to photoshop, photoshop cannot do this, while affinity photo does. Adobe should definitely bring this feature.

I assume because files with Smart Objects could potentially be very large in file size and moving those resources back and forth to the Cloud could be problematic. But that is my speculation. You'd have to ask someone at Adobe to comment on that.

Yes, but the smart objects thing means everything to me. I own a store. And I have to use mockup. My only device is iPad. When I tweeted to adobe about this before and said it doesn't have the same features as the desktop version, they said they were sorry to hear that. It would be much better if they brought the simplest feature to the ones who were upset.

It's probably a limitation of the PSDC format and what I suggested above. Also, the PSB format and moving large files to and fro.

An iPad doesn't have the same sorts of computing resources as a desktop machine.

It's sad to hear that. It's really sad. All I want is to be able to edit a mockup. It may be impossible on a beginner iPad, but it should be possible on a high-end iPad. People want this.

Sorry but an iPad is not on the same level as desktop PC... PCs support SSDs for scratch disk operation, large blocks of RAM and discreet GPUs. All of which are required to do "serious" image editing. iPad is great, It can do a lot; it has exceptional portability... but its not a PC.

Did you need to literally make a map? maybe turn it into a scavenger hunt on where to find the next clue is?

E.g. a simple note note that says "It's really cold - even in the summer" - and the kids go look in the fridge, where they find another note that says "where you sleep etc" and it just continues for a handful of 'notes'

I'd suggest you perhaps start with the "scavenger hunt" notes and then the last 'note' is the map? - helps drag out the activity for a bit longer!

I suppose if you were making a map for a local park, you just need to draw a big loose shape and then grab some icons to represent the different landmarks.... e.g. swings, entrance, pond, statue... - with an X next to the statue etc.

I'd still recommend the "multiple notes" approach to make them run back and forth across the park looking for clues.

It's easier to setup and gives you a chance to sit and chill in the middle and let them tire themselves out.
