I'm convinced these new AI algorithms found a way to tap into another dimension where artists are manually working on our prompts, and because time runs differently for them, our results appear to be near-instant. 😂

it doesnt get the same quality as midjourney out of the box really, but it is super configurable so you can download plugins or play with settings to get a good result

midjourney is still the best at art in general i think

But the price tag on stable diffusion is great

Once someone can put together a rock solid "system" for installing the necessary apps and then how to supply your own data for training models, I might be more interested. It seems like a lot of work to get less than satisfactory results. I could be wrong.

I don't think it's worth training your own models, that's the super hard part. But installing it is surprisingly easy, reddit has good guides for it.

Just reducing the pixel dimensions does mean changing the image. It doesn't necessarily mean that it will look bad.

Just make sure you resize/scale down in the same proportion.

I don't think this is a "drop shadow" per se. It looks like it might be "extruded" in 3d space. Perhaps done using the 3d tools in Adobe Illustrator.

You could probably 'fake it' by tracing the shapes using the Pen in Photoshop.

If you were successful with the green signs... just cut/copy out a big square of green sign and and place it over the blue one... then mask it and change the hue/saturation settings to turn the green one into the perfect, matching shade of blue.

If so, find a table with the perspective of your artwork.. if you can’t find a table, you can find one closest to your artwork perspective and use the perspective warp tool.. hope that helps.

If you don’t know how to add crop out the table, what I do if it behind a white background is use the magic eraser tool. If it is a more complicated background of a photo I use a select and mask on the marquee rectangle tool.

Select and Mask in the marquee rectangle tool, then crop out a person or animal.

For the hair, there is a refine hair feature at the top, so you can press that OR you can do it manually with the 2nd tool. The tool should be name Refine brush or something along the lines of that.

yall i have a pretty serious photoshop issue and theres no help channel so im asking here
i recently started a file and saved it to my hadrive, i assume i took it out just a little bit before it fully saved. and now i cant open it
i get this message

it just seems i cant open it

Its possible the file is corrupted or you have a hard disk issue.

Its not showing a file extension. Do you have those hidden in Windows?

Perhaps you accidentally saved the file with the wrong file extension?

In the Windows File Explorer, maybe turn on extensions, @languid hill

Yeah check to see if the file extension is present before opening it in the applicate. Else it's going nowhere

They would have to turn them on first to see them in Windows File Explorer.

The icon showing in the File Explorer only shows an "association" with a program. So it could be a different file type (not .psd) and still have the Photoshop Application Icon.

But that doesn't make it that file type.

Windows has various tools that you can run on a disk to check it for errors. But that is somewhat beyond the scope of this chat.

Some tools will work on HDDs. If you have an SSD, you might need a specific app made for that brand/type of drive.

I can't really suggest how to fix your hard disk. First, I'm not sure that is the problem but also, its impossible for me to troubleshoot remotely. Also, I can't tell you to start running a bunch of utilities on your drive. I don't want to be responsible for the outcome. Sorry.

You can search Google for "Windows Check Disk" and similar. Which you could run if you have an HDD. I would not run that on an SSD.

Turn off the background layer (if there is one) and go to: File > Export > Save for Web... Choose PNG. Click the "Transparency" checkbox. Then click Save. Save it somewhere.

You would make new document 12in wide by 10in in height at whatever PPI you need for print (I'm assuming 300 dpi/ppi). Then bring your elements in and see which of those elements need to be rescaled/resized, and moved around to fit inside that canvas.

However, you should keep in mind that you can't upscale raster/bitmap graphics without quality loss. Thus, the elements you bring in need to be at least as big as the Canvas (or larger).

Things can be scaled down generally. Not up.

You can try using the magic wand to select the face, and just drag the emoji layer there.

Brute forcing it is good enough. If you going to add more effects to make it look more natural. Turn it into a mask layer then go nuts.

Ah got it! Thinking of tutorials for you.. You'll definitely want to get comfortable with Layers and Text tool. Would start by opening or dropping an image inside PS, start playing with the type tool ontop of the background imagery.
To me it looks like a few layers of a background object, text layer and then something infront of the text (like the 2nd and 4th one).
Double click on your text layer and you'll get options to add stroke, gradients, etc

It really depends on your geographic coordinates. I would say there is no safe-zone that having a degree would provide. You need collage for knowledge and practice for experience. There days you can pick up knowledge at various places, meet people who are willing to mentor you. Colleges of the world vary, so do countries. I've heard that Windows 11 still has some issues. I'm on Windows 10 and I usually put my laptop in Sleep mode during night time but every few months I wake up to see the laptop has 'woken up' and prompting me to upgrade to Windows 11

There are various issues still with it. Unless you have brand new hardware or a good reason to switch, I'd probably wait on the upgrade.

I suppose it depends on what you mean by "edit text."

Like say there is text on the screen, I was wondering how to change the text to say something else in the exact same font and size

You can't "select" text and simply edit it if has been flattened to pixels. If its pixels, then you'd probably have to cover it up and re-create the new text in the desired font.

After you'd done that, you could save it as a Photoshop document with layers. Then it would always be editable.

Hope this makes sense. I'm not sure how familiar you are with computer graphics/image editing.

Also, you're running it in a VM. I doubt anyone here will know how to fix it. You'll have to try Google.
