You could also try adding an color overlay in layer effect, to the 4k left eye layer, set to color or a use hue and saturation layer instead of a color layer set to color. Lots of ways to approach it.

The 4K eye was just to remedy the same issue for the left eye. With an original 4k render, I overlayed the eye. It's something to do with the quality of the image I guess now saying that.

You can have really realistic watercolour mixing brushes in illustrator with the right brushes. You can get some using Kyle Webster brushes (there is a full series to download called watercolour) or you can find/buy some online, or even create your own.

If you also have a PC or an Ipad, you can use Adobe's drawing program called Fresco. It's very good with watercolour!

The blending of the colours is done through the brushes settings (like transfer, colour mixing etc). Check the tutorial to know more about how to either create or amend brushes to cover this

How is this done? I've seen it's not done using just black & white filter but I just cannot figure it out for myself haha

Probably just by lowering the opacity of the logo, which is on a separate layer on top of the background and then comes the text layer on top of all that. That top text layer also has a drop shadow that creates a better contrast between the white-ish parts of the logo , but blocking them with black

Hello, can I switch the interpolation settings for each item (text in my case) individually?

And by the way I've stumbled upon an issue - I changed my interpolation settings in the preferences but after reopening photoshop and messing with my project (I'm editing a pre-existing photo), the interpolation setting is still set to nearest neighbour, although something else is displayed in the settings

The interpolation settings are set at preferences levels, and can be temporarily amended at transform level, but otherwise it works as it's set in the preferences (edit>preferences)

Settings can be wiped off after, for example, updating, if you forget to transfer presets when asked in the update. But I have never seen settings going back to default after closing or reopening. It could be a bug

so edit>preferences>general then "image interpolation"

if you want to by-pass this at the transformation stage it's there

but for example, placing documents, or anything else will take into account what's in the preferences

Probably because you're changing the aspect ratio and the file is either being squashed or stretched. Photoshop tries to interpolate values when upsampling/downsampling.

I can recommend you to use the smallest size possible, because no crawler will rank you well, nor user will waste time waiting large images to load.

Seriously, you need to know how to draw, you need to know how to colorize, and third, you need to know how to use Photoshop well.
It is a ultimate professional level of art.

You also need a natural talent.
I have tried it, but I cannot draw, nor I know or have time to colorize well.

Well, ChatGPT is a CHAT-bot. Its based on data that is feed into it and it does only babble things that are allready chatted before and interprets it. So when you give enough and good enough input that maybe will be the case, but I doubt that you will get a GOOD website, because nobody except you yourself knows what Design, what Logo, what Texts and Images will be on there, etc. So it will be much better and faster to do it the good old analog way to build it yourself and use Tools that are already out there. Multiply mode will multiply current color until some point.

Normal mode will color normaly with a picked color, the picked color will not get any darker.

That problem happens with me many times.

its a little better. But the empty space is there and the swirl around the bottle top covers the Text. Also the shadows seem to be not consistent (the Shadow has the same oppacity all the way through, the floating objects have no reflections, etc.) and the sharpness also seem of as before. The text on the bottle also can be bigger that it can be seen better.

I downloaded free vector and used.
This morning I was thinking if I had to do all from zero.
Just for a chain, draw rectangle, rotate, bend edges, create perfect gradient to give sense of reality to rectangle, duplicate mass of the rectangles in line and intersect each to other.

Would took hours just to get small chain for design.

Then when I came to lamp, I would need days and I would not come close to the lamp I found free on net.

So, yeah, we need external stuff.

I don't know if there's a square shaped eraser in PS, but I created mine 🙂 An eraser is just a brush used as an eraser.
I seem to remmeber there is a square brush (with the brush tool) in PS, so in that case, depending on the keyboard you have, turning a brush into an eraser is done by hitting the tilde key (the key that is situated just above the tab key in a US style keyboard)

For me it would be the ` (¬) key on a UK style keyboard

and in other mapping it may be elsewehere, unfortunetely rarely documented

You can also use the brush blending mode (not the layer blending mode), called "clear" to erase with your brush. Try it, it's just completely changes the way you'll go about it.

I often use them myself for the same reason

Now if for some reason you can't find a square brush then you can just make it yourself, just create a very small clean edge square with a square selection filled with black (turn the anti alias and feather off in the selection panel before creating the square selection) and turn it into a brush, rename accordingly, and you have your square brush/eraser

A question regarding resolution:
When using default photoshop canvas (2100x1500) lines appear fine, but when I upscale this to 4K resolution (3840x2160) lines become jagged using the same brush. I've attached a photo to both resolutions drawing diagonal lines with the same brush (the lines only become jagged on the diagonal). Left photo is 4K, right is default photoshop canvas. Is there a way to fix the jaggedness?

I'm trying to split a circle into 20 equal parts, but whenever I try to follow the tutorials online, the lines start becoming increasingly closer to one another with every new layer I create. I'll list my steps below:

Create circle with elipses tool
Create a new layer and fill in the 4 pixels around the center of the circle with paint bucket
Using the pencil tool, draw a straight line, holding shift, to the bottom of the circle
Free Transform line with the anchor point at the top of the line, choosing 18 degress for the angle
Click Enter, Enter
Hold ctrl+shift+alt and press T repeatedly to create new layers.

It works when I try with 6 sections, but not 20

Used line tool and centered, after that had to move a bit with arrow, because for some reason was not centered.
Then just followed 18 deegres transform thing that you wrote.

I just updated to photoshop 2024. When I use the eye dropper, it's changing the color correctly, but not updating the color UI.

once you get the basics which should take you a good few weeks, you can then taylor your learning with specialist subjects like digital painting, photo retouching, pixel art etc...

That's called a light leak, trying to emulate when people accidently let light come in into a camera (film camera) or a damaged film canister.
You can try to recreate it with a curves layer masked with a gradient, or you can check in - say adobe stock - " for a "light leak overlay" that you'll place on top of your image and change opacity and blending mode.

For example this is what I found by typing "light leak" in Adobe stock free section

and choose free in the drop down menu of the search bar. It may not be exactly the one you want but there are 100s listed there so you can see if one fits the bill

Otherwise if you search for "light leak" on youtube I'm sure you'll find something to make your own too!

this is what Photoshop asks. It seems the OpenCL, and Open GL are in good nick, and only requires a driver update, or maybe the drivers aren't maintained anymore

Maybe you can try to downgrade a few versions in case you can't change your hardware in the near future, you'll still have stable versions and it will probably resolve your issues

when you're in your CC app, locate Photoshop in the APPS tabs, and click on the menu on the right

click other versions, and see what they are offering.

I would say go back one step (the last of the 24.XX version) and if it's not working then go back one version further (I think you can go until 22.XX at present)

Don't bother testing all the intermediate versions, just the last of each major update

First and last color of Gradient Map have to be blacks for it to work.
Don't know why, luckily, I have some small sense to discover that.

Btw, he has some great tutorials.
He uses different ways than most of the people use, but it works, works way better then ordinary ways.
Like he said: "CTRL + Click on RGB channel will select all 50% to 100% white", I mean like, yea it works, I just would like that he could tell "Why this or that works...", but well.

To my eye it's all done by the layer at the top:
Group 2 copy 2 with its blend mode set to Linear Dodge (add).
It's a merged layer of the whole comp that's got a blur baked in.

The problem is that all of the text is on lower layers which are covered by the three layers at the top.
I've switched off all the other layers and you can see that the whole image is there.
You could edit the text on those lower layers BUT then you'd have to merge and rebuild the baked in glows etc. to get back to the overall original look.
Short answer: don't bake things in: leave them editable

Yes, those top layers are a composite of all thats undeneath and OBSCURE them 😦
It's like a snapshot of all the work ~ then blurred

Yes, as I said you could edit those layers and texts in those groups, BUT it wouldn't be visible unless you turn off the top three layers ABOVE the layer named Group 2.
To get it looking the same with your new text you'd have to figure out / reverse engineer what was done to make the top three layers.

You'd have to ask your friend how he composited those top layers as it's not obvious or editable as such.

To make things editable, I'd swap the group with a smart object and instead of flattened layer I'd use another instance of the smart object with proper blur filter and blending. This way you get both editable effect and editable file. The downside of this method is the file will get heavier and slower to read/make changes to

Because I don't think there is an in-built filter in Photoshop that does that.
There might be a plug-in around or a an action set, someone sells or offers for free. Something that could be reversed engineered

@merry basin - Assuming you're happy with Wertos' suggestion of making the thing a smart object with a few blur/glow effects, you can edit your image like this:

(at 43 seconds, I double click that layer/smart-object to 'delve into into it' or 'OPEN' it.

As you can see, the file is horribly sluggish and slow.

Not good for such a small res image.

You cannot decide if you're viewed because you're good, or because Insta decided that you were worth putting on top. So you need to invest in what you can conttrol. Website, with analytics, put yourself forward, connect with recruiters. Have all your socials in order, but don't count on socials to find you work.
