I'm using a 32" monitor

Every other pdfs are in a correct size

I think a normal A4 PDF on my monitor "Full Page view" shows the PDF at about 74% zoom

hmmm, unfortunatelly that is not what im looking for, the image itself has lots of repeating patterns, what I what is to find where the specific pattern im searching appears :/

But this one is at least 2 from 4 times larger

and correct size is at 33% (equal to 100% in other files)

Once you change the size to correct units, and set the right size, you may find your content sticks out! - So SELECT ALL, group it, and then Shrink it down by dragging the corners?

Do you need a discreet GPU? Maybe not. It depends on what you hope to do with the app. Graphics apps require resources to run at optimum performance. The recommendations say that you should have a device that supports DirectX 12 for Windows. Some chipset soldered to the motherboard might work for certain tasks. Others, maybe, not so much.

Yes. To do Photoshop, Blender and video editing, you'll want to have as many resources as possible. This includes a decent GPU.

Resolution is like a ball pit (the ones for kids you used to have at MacDonalds)
If you have a pit that's too big for the amount of balls, your kids are gonna crash on the hard floor (not good!)
If you cannot buy more balls, you'll have to decrease the size of your pit, as in, increase the ball density compared to the size of the pit.
If you can afford a big pit and more balls, you can have a gigantic playground, but the important thing is the density/size...

I used to teach and that the analogy that made more sense to people 🙂

(I find that if I lower numbers it makes more sense....)
If you have an image that is 10 pixels wide, and you have an PPI of 1... that means that the image will be 10 inches wide. (1 pixel = 1 inch)
If you then changed the image to a PPI of 10 (10 pixel = 1 inch) - this would make the image 1 inch wide.

Neither of these settings has 'improved the quality' of the image.

You see me

1. draw a circle
2. Put all subjects into a single folder/group
3. Cntrl and click on the circle to make a SELECTION

4. Use the selection to make a MASK which I apply to the group of people

Hi Sandrine, so my method is, rendering a image sequence from a 3D software (the image sequence is an animation of a 360 degree camera). I tried to create 8, 180, and 360 frames consecutively, but all results in the photomerge not looking as good. Please see image below

I combined them all using photomerge -> auto

1- the stitching in Photoshop is primarily aimed at photography, meaning that it's been optimised for flat images.
2- Photomerge was probably already there when I started with Photoshp (I'm kidding, but not by much), and haven't been thoroughly updated since. It fits the bill for most usages so I guess that's it.

Compositionnaly it would be better if the overall shape would be more defined. Like a triangle (Triangles are good, they give a sense of dynamism)

Also the disparity in the scale of different people seems random. Is there a a rule there? (as in people that needs to be bigger because more importnat?)

Also there is a table in the middle that would beneficiate with being hidden with the other persons (unless this table is important)

Otherwise looks good on a technical point of view! Already a great improvement!

Pas de probleme. le gars en haut est un peu sombre par rapport aux autres, si c'est le plus important ce serais mieux de le visualiser mieux. Perso je le metttrais plus haut dans la "pyramide" pour accentuer son importance. Apres les autres pourraient etre distribués selon le sexe, Homme et femme distribués équitablement de chaque coté. Enfin c'est mon avis. En general je suis pas tres bonne en critique 🙂

I think there is a possibility to make everyone the same size. Otherwise it looks too different

If you want to lighten the guy at the top, you can clip a "levels" adjustment layer to him, and move the middle slider to the left. That way, by clipping it, you will only lighten him, and not the others. Same but opposite with the woman on the left, she's looking like a zombie, a bit of tan wouldn't hurt
So same but push the middle slider on the other side

see that icon at the bottom of the layers panel to create a new adjustment layer

If you are talking about the edge of the image, thats due to a gif not having an alpha channel. Depending on the background it's placed you will see this unless you match it.

Try saving your shortcuts as a new preset. In the keyboard shortcuts window click the icon with the arrow pointing at hard drive with three dots. You'll be able to easily get your shortcuts back when something goes wrong

Gif only supports 1 bit of transparency. That means a pixel can only be either fully opaque or fully transparent. The workaround is using a matte color but it will only work well in a specific, controlled environment (gif's background)

Yeah, just write your text and then hold CNTRL and click on it in the thumbnail panel to select it.

Then with it selected, you can then hide the text layer, go to the white box layer, invert your selection and 'cookie cutter' it with the mask button.

It shouldn't look pixelated AT ALL if done correctly.

Alternatively do a CYMK separation, take the K channel, use that to clean up your selection.

You can vary the dot gain / separation profile but standard US SWOP yeilds a usable K channel anyway so it's not really necessary here.

History snapshot, Image -> Mode -> CMYK, Channels Pallete, K channel, Ctrl A, Ctrl X, revert to snapshot, paste in place, go about your masking.

I would use some Pen Tool in Photoshop or morphing technique in Illustrator. For Photoshop just paint that wave and with maybe some shadows and Highlights paint this.

Hi! I have an issue that I just want to confirm whether it is a bug with Photoshop or with my tablet, or perhaps just some obscure settings option

Sometimes when I minimise the app, such as when I'm following a tutorial or something, and then jump back into it, Photoshop will not detect my inputs if I'm using my tablet.

For instance, if I'm drawing with the Brush Tool, minimise the app and then expand it again, Photoshop won't detect my pen touching the tablet nor the pen button that's mapped to the left click. I have to Left Click with my mouse first for Photoshop to "unlock" the Brush Tool again.

With my Wacom, I notice it occasionally, temporarily loses its connection to the system. If I wiggle my mouse and then move my stylus, it comes back into lock with the cursor. This seems to be more an issue with the Wacom device than any specific apps.

Make sure you have the latest drivers and firmware for your device. If you do, then I might check the manufacturer's website to see if anyone else is reporting similar symptoms.

You are exporting individual layers? I don't believe there is a way to do that with masks. You could apply the mask to each layer and export. I believe there are also some scripts that should help with this.

It's best to start the design of the shirts with specifc colors in mind. "Automatic" methods attempting to reduce colors often don't produce desirable results.

If you're talking about doing "color separations" with that type of screen printing, you'll probably want to be able to easily do those separations.

hi everyone I am a concept artist who uses photoshop as a medium to draw. today when i opened photoshop everything was normal but when i used the color picker to pick a color. the color was selected but it didn't show up on the color gradient thingy. Can you post a screenshot of your whole Photoshop window when you're in this situation? It may help identify if there's something you'r unwillingly selected etc.
Also have you worked on the new gradients before? They have changed with the couple of versions before 25.00 and it may have updated without you noticing it.

Well, maybe I don't understand but it could be file > script > load files into stack, and then choose all the files and save as PNG.

It massively depends on how the shirts are being printed. See if you can find out.
If it's SCREEN PRINTING - I'd suggest you watch a couple of short youtube videos of how screen printing is done. - You'll then go.... "ooooh! ok, that's why the number of colours is important! - Got it!"

Difficult to say here, but it could depends on the settings you have when you get the colour picker tool
because it drives the behaviour of the colour picking tool you use in the foreground/background
UInless you already use that tool and the issue is there. I cannot see as you didn't record the whole window, just the bit with the colour wheel.

Generally you can just apply a multiply blending mode to the image you're applying and slightly reducing the opacity

"Smooth a logo in"? I'd suggest you learn more about image compositing and photo-bashing. Learn the tools and techniques that we've always used with Photoshop to create composites.

Harmonization can help in certain instances. Its good for aligning color, saturation, brightness and helps to match it to another layer.

GenFill is just another tool in the tool box that we can use to create our image composites. Its still important to know how to use the myriad tools and techniques that Photoshop is famous for. :)

I have a Logo I'm trying to use for a friends dance academy but she made it on a phone app years ago and likes it the way it is, So i cant remake it coz its already printed on things like shirts and hoodies. I'm trying to use it in a marketing flyer to hand out to people. So the method I tried in photoshop was a bit of a failure, so I brought it through to Illustrator.

This seemed to be fine, but the font goes a bit wonky. - But I suppose you could always re-trace or re-create it.
