Each planet is extremely close in proximity to eachother, and each is almost exactly the same size; with similar features (albiet; it was not always this way; originally the planets looked different but they have been since teraformed by the Kingdom that found itself alone in the stars)
Most resources are sourced from an uninhabited system a short ride away from them and have a few more systems they know of as backups (although they don't believe intelligent life exists on any of them); they are far secluded from other civilization; or at least that's what they think. The Kingdom knows of other civilizations through long ranged communication via tech; but due to distance struggles to reach any of them. It mainly exports digital goods over a intergalactic web to other systems, and is known to hold an exceptional quality of life (at the cost of the resources in nearby systems).
They are by nature isolationist, and are a sort of sleeping giant that due to inconvenient positioning quite literally cannot wake up. In species they are basically fish people, most of their planets have more water then land and that's good for them. They have strong brains but weak bodies; which causes them to use machines; EG mechs, to make stuff work.
