It doesn't look that bad
It's between golf and polo but at least you ride a horse in polo
Golf is literally just whacking a ball a long distance
ok im back
golf is this yes
theres an unreasonable amount of land taken away to whack this small ball
it doesnt take that much effort to hit a ball relative to other sports
The amount is reasonable for golf specifically because the point is to launch the ball as far as you can early
However, the sport is so damn boring it's still unreasonable to spend so much land on it
Because that's all you're doing
So much land on hitting the ball, yeah sure it's the point but like dude, all that land for one thing is crazy
I agree with you but for a different reason pretty much lmao

False propaganda, emus did infact win the war

alternate solution:
the casino has a certain amount of money. (starts with a million) whenever someone loses, the cash gets transferred to them, but whenever someone wins, their winnings are given to the victor.
this way someone wouldn’t just dupe coins out of thin air whenever they get extremely lucky and become the richest, and it would be more realistic than putting a hard cap on the system
also if someone wins and the casino doesn’t have enough money to pay out, then only the amount that can be paid out is given to the victor
Put it in #🛠server-suggestions gng
If you ain't doin it Ima do it first
what if what we do is have a middleman who is incredibly rich and then give them money and then make a bet and if you win they give you your winnings so that way there is no limit
(im middleman)

You are not creating a gambling cartel today homie

unbelievaboat can't do that
My tablet got factory reset so my footage of beating asriel is gone
this has actually already been done kind of
with the stocks
you put money in a stock and they gamble with it
and if they lose money the stock goes down
if they make money it goes up
so it wouldnt really be that crazy

insane
by no senses i mean you cant smell taste or feel
you are fully conscious
also you will die in 5 years however your owners try keeping you alive
for the immortality one you will never stop growing and you will outlast the universe but you will feel everything
Temporary suffering vs eternal suffering with a small hint of fun in the beginning ahh 😭 🙏
I see no problem with opt 2
I wonder if you'd just get to used to feeling everything after an eternity
Actually that might just mean insanity
ok so you cant take any harm but you will feel the harm itself
like if you were punched and you didnt get hurt from it you would feel the pain like you got hurt from it
i dont know how to explain it
you are mentally vincible
and you will outlast truly everything
but you will feel everything
so
be a vegetable
or
be immortal?
doesn't one already feel everything in a mortal life?
cool, the first billion years of that immortality would be nice, but eventually this Earth that we stand on will die due to the expansion of the Sun, causing the surface of the planet to be baked and scorched to hundreds of degrees. you won’t die, but you’ll feel all of it. eventually, after trillions of years, you will be floating in space, asphyxiating for eternity, wanting to have chosen the first option
pretty much this can be summed down to:
- finite suffering
- have a period of normality and then infinite suffering
one would assume
as an immortal
you could see the rise of space flight
and even possibly the expansion of humans onto other habitable worlds. Maybe even artificial living stations.
So, in theory. If you play your cards right. You can planet/station hop until the heat death of the universe
you could also factor in that this is effectively a massive gamble and humanity could also just go extinct
well
yea
but
as an immortal. You can influence the odds
even if humanity did go extinct, you could try and reconstruct all of their industries to build your own space program. but the amount of effort required would be monumental, sisyphean even. you would have a billion years to do so, but you’d have to replicate the efforts of 100 billion of your own who lived, died, and contributed to advance technology in their own way
to build a rocket with solar escape velocity seems simple on the surface, but throw all of the work onto ONE person and make them start from scratch and it quickly becomes an efficiency nightmare.
Tbf a billion years is an absurd amount of time and it's totally doable, it just might drive you insane before you finish
youd effectively have to turn yourself into a machine
its important to note that there are so many technological steps needed in order to produce something like a steam engine, and even that could be considered rudimentary nowadays. theres a reason it took our ancestors so much time to reach any sort of technological complexity.
we as a species are designed to thrive off of cooperation, placing all of that work on yourself just wouldnt work for so many reasons. doable? yes. feasible? absolutely not.
Fair enough yeah
But a billion years is still absurdly long, so I wouldn't totally rule it out
Could be that for a few hundred million the dude suffers immensely before figuring out a system that works
assuming that we didnt just bring any information with us, we’d also have to reinvent everything by ourselves too
Then spends several hundred million more before succeeding, or maybe still fails along the way
Dunno if that's a fair assumption
We have a lot of information readily available rn, wouldn't be too hard to store it somehow
All the time in the world to write it all out if the technology fails after however long
Yk what tho, all of this is pointless anyway
Heat death of the universe
alright but are we accounting for drive failure? information loss? theres no way a modern computer could last even a thousand years, or even a notebook. so for the best convenience you’d have to memorize everything
Whatever the immortal manages to do, won't matter when heat death rolls around
Endless, painful drifting through a black void awaits for all eternity, no matter how far they manage to get
i mean tbh that is the inevitable fate of our immortal. even if they manage to escape Earth, even if they manage to construct hundreds of civilizations where they are the only inhabitant, even if they’re able to succeed in staving off entropy for a few more millions of years, eventually everything they have built will crumple to dust and their machines will cease to operate, until the only thing that remains in the dying universe is themselves. and in their final moments as the universe finally succumbs, they will realise that they were never intended to be happy, they were only intended to go with the universe
Yep
honestly sounds like the plot of a short sci-fi story im ngl
Then probably asphyxiate until the black holes whittle themselves down to nothing
Trueeee
Wouldn't be surprised if there's something like that out there already ngl
well
I honestly don't believe we'd have a billion years of habitable time on earth
Climate change (not human-made) and other factors lower our habitable time on earth to a couple million years if that.
like.. atmospheric changes? temperature changes? i feel like it wouldnt be too drastic

He he he
@unborn gale @frank latch @frosty drum
This will be you after the first 500 years twins 😭 ✌️
The first one is the much better option
You will just die in the end after your suffering
We will all die eventually
The second one is just hell after a while
Nothing you do will matter it will just fade to time eventually
Everyone you love will die
And you can never quit
You will live TRILLIONS of years after the heat death of the universe
Alone with nothing
So this Is my case for why option 1 is actually superior
i think one thing to account for on option two are black holes
like you are drifting in space
and get spaghettified
however this version of immortality will violate anything to keep you alive
it isn't specified that parts of your body can die
so technically you'd start suffering from your blood being poisoned and cancer in the first few years of immortality
and if you get a blood transfusion to fix it you'll be getting blood that isn't immortal and you'd feel the pain of being bloodless for eternity
Nothing would change on the 2nd one
What do you prefer?

Lofi
how sentient?
Like am I regular animal sentient or human sentient
Couple million? A couple million years before this, not a much was different. I don’t think climate change would kill all life on earth before it kills us
The second is just that one anime character
and I mean If everyone hates me
I'm basically alone anyway
Worse than alone maybe
yes
like subnautica without the cuddlefish or the precursors
it is just you and you only
Im already both of these 🐺 👿

yo
Haiiiiii shin
Do you mean sentient or sapient
sapient
and partially sentient
they can have emotion and think but they dont have human level sentience
Sentience is the ability to feel
Feel what?
Pain? The physical sense of touch?
A bit vague there
Arent both literally the same
Tf am i saying ofc not
what

Toby Fox and Hakita Patala my goats
Soundtracks made by solo artists
Pop has killed bands?
