Easiest way is with a subspecies that has genetic mirror, like garlic or blobs. You can pass on all traits to the king's kid, even if you used the trait editor (it won't copy the scar trait) That's the way to get it if you have premium.

You'll unlock the achievement required for it that way.

Okay, so for every hit you gain 2 xp, and buffalo has 180 HP I think and so it would take ~10 hits for a standard unit to get the kill which would equate to 20 XP adds onto the 10 XP gained from the kill which equals 30 XP.

So I think, that's how you got 30 XP?

I tried it with a super op human, who one shot the buffalo, and they got 30 exp. I think it's because the shotgun fires multiple bullets, and having each bullet hit gives +2 exp, so having them all hit gives +20 exp?
And then you add on +10 exp fro killing it

Each hit = 2XP, and so you got 20 XP from each of them and that would add onto the 10 XP.

Seems like a plausible explaination.

I was hesitant to include the pellets in the explaination because I hadn't really seen a shotgun in action.

It depends on army upkeep, trade boats, culture traits, kingdom traits and other stuff. Just because they are identical in pop and biomes doesn't mean they are completely the same.
