I mean like trade routes. Adding those would be a crazy addition. Fight to control trade and ally for easy trade. How would they form exactly? Perhaps the routes the AI takes the most to get to a certain city's storage area would slowly cement itself as one. If an easier route is made (I.e. the player makes a shorter route by raising ground) then the old one slowly fades. The incentive of a person using a route like this could be faster movement speed or something, I don't know.

i think one of the main issue is that there is not a single counter to armor. Weapons need some armor pen. Hammer are the best at facing heavy armor with a % armor pen. Axe are better at dealing with light armor with a big flat armor pen (-40 armor something like this) Sword is the middle ground between both

in my idea there would be 3 kind of dragons.
Naturals = the most common , they are related to biome (forest , desert, frost , red,...)
Rare dragons = related to age. Like for exemple during age of sun there is a small chance for each egg to become a sun dragon a more powerful kind of dragon ( a golden one) with maybe special abilities) Their would also be black dragon (age of dark) silver/moon dragon (age of moon) and chaos dragon (age of chaos)
Then there is the last kind the specials ones. Those are not naturaly born dragon the player must do something for them to spawn. It include zombie/skeleton dragon (undead basically) storm and thunder dragon, sea dragons
