You can play normally, or go on an unlocking spree. You can always just dump animals around monoliths, but you'll have to discover those animals first to unlock them. Armadillo was hardest for me. They've made it so you have to play and explore to unlock more things and I think that is great. Some like everything unlocked tho 🙃

do you mean the druids or the flower people. the flower people will happen in the flower biome if you leave animal spawn on and a monlith in there. the slime people come from the wasteland biome which happens when you put acid all over the land

There's a caveat here.
Create the parent/parents(that will breed the kids)
Go to subspecies setting and turn on infertility for all newborn.

That way it's just one big massive family. I'm sure you can recognize some issues with this method
