i dont think whats going on right now is too terribly bad, however, I do agree that its drastic, new players dont really have an idea what or how to do anything at this very moment. the quests being down makes for new players to have no drive, additionally ruins any potential to gain experience and knowledge on how to play.

its similar to playing hardcore tarkov, experiences pestilly, omid, lvndmark, and other streamers alike do to create a new purpose for themselves. but taking the ability to submit and do quests is in MY OPINION too far.

L + ratio + skill issue.... The event made rubles and 'barter items' worthless but made guns and gear infiniely worth. Now instead of ratting a bag full of gas cans and duct tape put of a raid to make big rouble number go up, you'll have to prioritize getting out guns and ammo and meds. It's just changed what's a priority. You can also keep looking etc and stockpile loot for 5 days then put it all up on the flea at the end for massive profit.

I get what you're saying but I think saying that the game has been in development for years and thus should be farther along ignores the complexity that this game has. Any game that has a dynamic economy is by default incredibly complicated and takes a lot of tinkering to get right. Not to mention the depth of the mechanics such as bullet drop, inertia, etc. Tarkov is a unique game and had to be built from the ground up. Also, it has to be built in a way that accommodates future changes they are planning. Not to mention figuring out a work flow for design, creation, implementation, testing, etc. I think it makes perfect sense that it's taken this long to be made

I totally agree with every point you made, but I don't like the fact the game is in beta being used as a way to excuse every mistake BSG makes. It is my personal opinion that this event is a huge mistake, but we'll see soon

But I think whats important to remember is that just because some members of the community will defend their mistakes doesn't mean that Nikita and BSG aren't taking note of what goes right and what goes wrong. I personally really like the event but I get why others don't and I'm sure they will learn from this and tailor future events like this to be more accommodating for a larger portion of the player base

I’m quite happy that we get to see such ridiculous event, literally shows how people are used to one thing and the moment such thing is taken away they start crying. Well this event is part of current game progress which devs decide.

I like it how they decide and have courage to actually do events such as these even though it angers the players. Love to have devs that will take and shape their own game the way they see fit without caring about bunch of cryin bois unlike other companies which make games easylike for all them banies and farm the cash through lootboxes.

We need more hardcore games. Bring that juicy penalty if you die, make them risks extremely costly but very rewarding

I think the flea and auction is going to be on a laptop in hideout and you can order stuff from there but it takes time to get to your hideout. I don't think that official safe spots would be introduced because it goes against the brutality of the game but groups of players making agreements could definitely be made. But I think the final plan is to have raids be 6 hours long which wouldn't work with what I was saying. It would have to be a persistent open world where you can enter and leave your hideout on a whim. And there would have to be different locations for hideouts. Maybe group hideouts could be a thing

Being agressive in such a zone could for example reduce your reputation making them always aggro you on sight.

What they seem to be finding is that some people just like hoarding money, and there's no actual mechanics to create near-wipe conditions, other than a wipe. It's unfortunate, from a testing perspective, that everyone isn't actively participating in this event - but who knows, BSG always has something up their sleeve.

The fact that the goal hasn't been reached yet is simple. People don't see a reason to give their money. They can just wait it out. If there are consequences, they will not play the game until these consequences are resolved in an certain way.

I've just never understood why people hold onto so much money - if you have more than 10 or 20 mil - what are you planning to do with it? Money is really easy to make in Tarkov, especially after you've reached max traders. I don't understand why people who are able to make plenty of money hold onto it. Part of the reason I got into being a Sherpa was so that I could spend money on something after my initial goals were hit - this event seems like an entertaining way of spending all that money that is usually just wiped. I guess a lot of people just like big rouble number, but I've never understood that
