It depends, 4th tier armour makes you almost invulnerable to ai scavs, and allmost all rats, so it's really good armour tier to wear. and you cannot sell it on the flea so it's kind of waste to sell it to ragman. If it comes to the helmet, i like it but it's basically weaker altyn

they have every right to shoot you if they consider the penalty worth the shit in your bag

and it’s already bad enough to get out of, you only get 3.5 pts of easy karma grind per wipe outside of events, after that have fun doing 100 extracts per 1 rep lmfao

A dude tries to snipe me, but does not manage to hit me - so me killing him gets me negative rep? Having to hope his first shot doesn't kill me, because if I do not wait on that I'll get the bad rep. Something like approximating an area around a shot bullet to enable one to shoot back. At least something to not get fucked over for no reason.

Boss guards attacking you, but killing them still nets negative rep? Killa always mad, but then again - negative rep for simply defending yourself.

I have found that it is best to always be moving around other scavs. If they shoot at you have your health always shown, make sure they connected then light them up

Make sure to find or zone in with armor it will help and dont toss the bandages or heavy bleeds

sad part is that scav karma isn't explained anywhere in the game except on google, thus new players mostly have no clue about it until it's too late.
Most of the times if a scav is friendly is cuz he knows about karma, but still many people are clueless about it
