Making the recoil easier and grenades being an actual thought opened the game up to more people. You don't need to spend 300k plus per weapon to have decent recoil. Not every change is bad for the game

EFT is a hardcore shooter, not some sci-fi game with unrealistic laser weapons!
In the beginning, there weren’t any laser weapons at all, only through value modding. And there were more realistic gunfights without 1ms headshots… the fights were much more fun!
I wanna have in the last week an event with the old EFT settings, please read my stuff

Old eft had laser beams ones that come to mind for me are the SA58, As Val, HK416 and the vector which caused all the 9mm/smg changes. I've played this game pre and post inertia. Old eft had just as many issues as the current eft does and in some regards was worse. Grenade spam comes to mind where me and my buddy could have a rig full of grenades that came out instantly with no penalty.

im having a really annoying problem trying to install tarkov on my D drive, it will install the launcher but when i try to install the game instelf it just gets stuck on "repairing the game" at 0% infinitly and never goes anywhere, i have tried everything i have found on reddit other then installing it on my C drive which is where i had it before. but my D drive is faster and 2TB so i want the game on there instead, any help would be appreciated

laser is helpful not only to see where your gun is aiming but it makes point-firing (hip-firing) way more accurate instead of super random, even if you have an IR laser on and not wearing night vision, it still gives you that accuracy bonus

Landmark: Look for a large mural (graffiti) of a Cosmonaut on the side of a building.

This exit, “Transit to the Laboratory,” is personal. It is not a group exit, such as a car.

My bad, I should have mentioned that. There are TWO ways to complete this task.
Method 1 (which I described): Go to the “Transit to the Lab” exit on Tarkov Streets (near the Cosmonaut).
Method 2 (Which your friend probably did): Just go on a raid on the “The Lab” map itself.
“The Lab” is the very same “TerraGroup secret facility.”
Your friend probably just started a raid on The Lab at some point (maybe even without you or before you started playing together), and the quest was credited to him. He didn't need to go to the Streets because he already “gained access” to the facility just by entering the map itself.
