nah, just hurting a scav mean every other AI scav on the map will attack you

tho if a player scav hit you first, then you can kill em for bonus fence rep and you won't be a traitor. tho if you were to get a very low reputation with fence, aka aaaalooot of scav killing, then every scav are permanantly after you

it lets u hear players while removing other sounds

basically free headphones, you should get an equalizer if you can

it doesnt remove sounds, it equalizes them. louder sounds become quiter, quieter sounds become louder. this way, gunshots dont blow your ears off, while footsteps are inaudible. you have to be careful with it though, because it will also boost ambient sounds to a level that can hurt your hearing. it's recommend to use an equalizer at a lower output volume

and ingame headphones still help because they boost your hearing range ingame
