No, they aren't initially hostile towards you. They only become hostile if you kill a scav, you kill one of theirs, or you loot inside the walls of the compound.

I wouldn't recommend killing them, because the MG nests will cross-map you.

I have spent a lot of time on this game and I do struggle with this new mechanic as well as performance problems. That's also something I hear when I get snippy. Inertia is one of the best changes to the game in a long while, from it's first version to now they've dialed it in pretty good but it does still need some tweaking. That and the new Ballistic changes are finished being messed with the game will be in it's must healthy state in years.

Also the flea changes are single handedly the best change this wipe

I fucking LOVE when I shoot at a guy, and my shots make him hit me in the head, due to flinching. I even hit him 5+ times at close range. This game needs to flinch side ways, not fucking upwards. I've lost count of how many times I've lost fights where I shoot first, but because I hit them, they flinch upwards and hit me in the head.......

I don't want BSG to remove headshots but god damn sometimes it feels like I die too easily, and others can just take 10+ hits.

If you hit them first, then make sure you hit them in the head. Then they won't flinch to headshot you *smart emote*

I personally can't wait for BSG to finally make the advanced ballistics, when hands can hopefully be penetrated through. I absolutely hate seeing someone getting hit, causing them to flinch upward, which causes their hands to move in front of their face, making it impossible to headshot them. The arms are eating up bullets like flesh is a T7 armor

Yeah the sniper scavs usually silhouette themselves on purpose so you can see them, look up high to where you're getting shot at from and you should be able to see them 9 times out of 10
