Depends on how you play. Just play slow and learn the map with a map on your phone/second screen. Plenty of scavs and fun shooting action.
Or just find a sherpa who can carry you/give tips

this game feels like rich players get such a huge platform above people that are new or don't start at the start of the wipe. i understand this game isnt supposed to be like cod where every gun will drop someone no questions asked but the gap between a player that has just started and someone who is already at endgame is way to far apart. like i cant afford to constantly run the best ammo all the time with the best armor, at this point theres no point in even running armor for me cuz unless its lvl 5+ it just gets shred through like its not even there cuz most of the player base is already at endgame.

like only reliable way for me to be successful is if i play super passively and i allready play relatively passively
