Tactical movement. Never move in a straight line, go short point to short point, stay low, use terrain to break line of sight constantly, and if you think you are being followed, STOP AND LISTEN. Most players wont spend 2-4min listening to what is going on around them. Finally, get a high quality headset setup.

I'm kind of bad at Tarkov but my opinion is you should just slap a reflex or even a PSO scope on it, and call it a day. I guess use PS ammo, but you can check the ballistics page to see if there's a better ammo you could pick up https://escapefromtarkov.fandom.com/wiki/Ballistics#7.62x39mm_anchor. If you don't bring mags, you can reload the gun slowly with ammo in your pocket - and not need to bring a chest rig

I think it depends on you. It's super nice if you have a group to play with, because if one of you die and your stuff is insured, they can hide it so that you get it back later. But if you play solo, you can play at a much slower pace without bothering people as much
