Turn off noise in tarkov settings, then use nvidia control panel, play around with the settings while in an offline customs raid (so you can see difference inside and outside), something around ~40-60% brightness, 50-60% contrast and 1.1-1.6 Gamma

Run whatever settings makes things sharp while getting max fps

Try turning up the sharpness setting, and different antialiasing/upscaling. I use 1.7 sharpness and TAA high for antialiasing

1.7 is probably too high for most monitors, so mess with it until you find a good spot for your monitor

I have over 6.0 scav rep and havent spawned with one in over 55 raids

use gym every time you can, make air filter unit, and go overweight every run

the skill system for strength/endurance gives a 129% xp buff for your first stamina bar ran either under or overweight, so you can increase your initial 129% buff to skill gains every raid by popping an sj6 or trimadol making your first stamina bar bigger. The second you stop running after your very first stamina bar spent that raid your 129% buff goes away and turns to ~60% xp gained

xp gained is based off of distance and not how heavy you are. Maximize distance ran for your first stamina bar, turning reduces that distance, dropping off a ledge ends the stamina bar removing the buff, same with bushes, mud/swamp and jumping

you can also see what buff you have on any skill in raid by the arrows on each skill. Blue is 129% xp gained, no arrow is 100%, and a red arrow is 60% xp gained.

Most of map knowledge in tarkov revolves around player behavior, if you just know the layout, you'll be supremely overconfident
Really bad combat habits, fighting AI is a very different process. If you practice it, when it comes time to fight players, you will fuck up
Movement and sound, playing PvE you get no appreciation for the importance of movement and sound, how far you can be heard, how you should move in certain places, etc
PvE players have no concept of raid timing
there's plenty more

If you want to play PvP ever, do not play PvE

I spent a good amount of time scaving in streets and I found so much valuable stuff and essential items for my hideout. I minded my own business the whole raid, stayed quiet if I heard gunshots far away. I even intentionally stayed until there were 8 minutes left to decrease risks of encountering PMCs, and made my way to the kilmov shopping mall exfil. I was walking up the escalator and I die to a fully kitted up PMC from behind me and I lost all my progress.

I am level 15 and new to the game and know the foundations. I get scav runs in streets are highly profitable, but this is exactly what I feared. It seems like no matter what I do and how careful I am, I'm always being killed by some PMC I didnt even see. I'm not dying because I'm losing gunfights. I'm dying because I can't survive because of stupid shit like this. Please tell me what I am doing wrong

There is no 100% way. You need to start learnign where the danger is likely to be. And that is map by map. Takes a good while. I have good survivability only in a few maps yet

the BIOS is motherboard specific so unless you have the exact same board as him i doubt it would be the same, its unneccessary to go that route because its built into windows display settings or nvidia control panel/etc to allow you adjust it to whatever you want.

I need help understanding why I am constantly getting tap-fired/sniped from nowhere without being able to have the chance to spot the enemy or even be in a gunfight in my raids. I always make sure to take the grass route instead of a sidewalk/road to be less conspicious, I always check the direction of pmc spawns after going into a raid, I try my best to move quick but walk or slow walk if I hear audio and never engage, i avoid foliage, i do my best to avoid hotspots or run directly on top of a hill or elevated area

For example, I load into a customs night raid. I have a cheap kit. I need to unlock a cabin in warehouse 4 and I spawn trailer park. Red lines represent my path (sprinted or walk) and the blue squares represent moments I stop moving completely because I hear audio and I wait for there to be no audio. I dont know how else to get to warehouse 4 from main bridge so I took the route attached in this photo. I intentionally stayed close to the walls (shown on the red line) so I would be less conspicious by avoiding walking on the main road. I make my way to wrap around the left side of new gas because theres a wall i cant pass blocking the road. I am forced to fight 2 scavs who spotted me, before 3 more make their way. I kill them as quickly as possible (1 taps) because I know I needed to move fast. Maybe this was my mistake but i feel like this issue is way more complex, but I decided to loot one of them because I had a garbage cheap kit, and thats when I get 1 tap killed. Most of the time though, these interactions happen when Im not even doing anything. I am sprinting to go somewhere or walking and I know theres no audio around me, and i get tap fired from somewhere i dont know or get 1 tapped and I die.

I am very confused because this isnt a matter of me having gear fear, or bad gear, or bad aim. It's literally just me getting killed from out of nowhere when most of the time I am not doing anything loud or conspicious. I'm making these small decisions mid raid when moving around the map to try to not be spotted by pmcs, and it doesnt seem to pay off because I die from out of nowhere anyway. I dont even know what tutorial to search on youtube to solve this issue I have. 99% of my deaths at the hands of a PMC is literally this.

additional info, I start moving once the raid starts towards my task location. Should I be waiting like 5-10 minutes before making my way to my objective?

Im not saying this is the optimal route you can take, but the green one I painted in is the best route for you to predict most spawns and most movement from other players also helps avoid hotspots like fortress and dorms, if you want you can dm me I can try to help you out a bit just giving you some recommendations

Hello I have a question, i am currently in the process of trying to get Rich in tarkov to get my stuff for Labyrinth, I however saw that the Prestige 1 requirements were lowered heavily, the question is, should I grind more Roubles to get the necessary hideout Systems and get Prestige or just play the game and Prestige when I finished the storyline for the first time?

For reference i am currently in the slight beginning of the story right after the tour, the objective is getting Elektronic a flight recorder from woods and mark it on Shoreline.

Some of these tasks are very difficult i will admit, especially after getting setup done i no longer possess the ability to do any real pvp, I don’t know which way to learn maps as in spawns or maps POI’s but I probably will try scaving first maps like Lighthouse to figure out the base map peeks etc.

Tarkov is just like that sometimes, you will get matched with any available player, that also means more geared and more experienced players

Nothing you can really do, except you could go play on Nigeria server but that comes with 4x matching times and a 130 ping when you are from eu

With Flechette you shoot at their thoraxes and with magnum buckshot more the unarmored parts like legs

Flechette is a mixed bag and usually not my go-to for shotties

If you WANT a shotshell that has penetration use Pirhana over flechette

More consistent in my experience

But leg meta is the way to go magnum buckshot does the most damage but that comes with the increased recoil which isn't necessary when iirc there are other shells that kill in the same number of shots
