Get the bare basics down then team up and work on communication so you don't shoot each other

On the wiki you can fullscreen the map and have it show less map markers. Get familiar with major locations and extracts as both PMC and scav. Don't worry about all the quest markers and loose loot markers yet, but questing early on is a good idea. Also there is a compass you can get in game but idk how accurate it is so don't rely on that

Yeah, that's where I hunted them back in 2024, but that was PvE. I liked that spot the most, as I could snipe most of them from the rocks in the east before they even aggroed.

And I used to only check there. But I haven't seen them there for a while, so trying the resort now as well.

PVP is extremely different than PvE in regards to fighting and staying alive. it’s a very challenging switch, it’s like learning the game again. rewarding but it’s a long road.

I made the mistake of buying thr base game on steam, but for some reason when I wanted to upgrade through tarkovs website, it wouldn't let me.

you jsut need to link the account. You cannot upgrade in STEAM

if you buy base in steam you cannto upgrade later in steam

you need to upgrade on site and BSG site DEPENDING ON REGION, can be more expensive. So check that before you decide your version

How do you open safes in this game? Almost all that I tried are locked.. can't really find a good guide online

Most safes are behind locked doors some are free to acces but there are not that many
Some might need a key for it if it says "locked" but depends on the safe there might not be a key for that safe and it acts as adummy

If a safe is locked best look it up if the key exists

you can get the keys from the flea or in jackets/fieling cabinets but you have to get lucky to get the one you need

dorms on customs are my favorate to loot has 5 safes behind locked doors the key are fairly cheap buuut it is in dorms so expect company

my recommendation is use the transit what i do is start from woods check there go transit custom check there then transit to shoreline and you repeat untill found customs has a lower spawn rate than woods/shoreline
