As for factory, its PVP heavy and small, people have quests to kill PMCs so will be aggressive to you. Best advice is lay low, try to make 0 sound, and move around the map using sound information on where people are. Because people are hungry for kills they run around everywhere and give their position away

What do I need when it comes to communication in Tarkov? I'm still having hard time to navigate where to footsteps are and I don't know much about military terms since Tarkov doesn't have floating map at the corner of screen

Why.... Would your friend ask you to prove that you can communicate? Especially when you're inexperienced with tactical team communications. They should be teaching you how to communicate, not demand you prove it.

Tactical team communications take a long time to learn, especially if nobody's helping you learn and you don't know where to learn it. Even people with thousands of hours can have horrible comms.

That being said, I suggest looking at videos or streams of people with multiple people in a squad. It makes it easy to see what is really bad communication and what is good.

It doesn't even have to be Tarkov, if you're completely new to tactical communication. Look at high ranked players in Counter Strike and other games.

Global elites in CS that go on Tarkov are often beasts in Tarkov.

I'd personally look at Tarkov squad streams/videos. It helps you learn the game more too.

Yes and no, for smgs you usually go for the legs with high flesh dmg bullets cuz of the fire rate were as ak/m4 u usually go for thorax or head cuz you usually tend to have decent pen on the ammo for those guns
Theres a way more in depth version of this but to make it somewhat simple there you go

Usually you tend to use the guns you have best ammo for, so lets say you have 11 pen 556 ammo but 36 pen 545 ammo then you'd go for the 545 cuz you'd have a better chance of penetrating their armor

You have the railway flare thats always open no matter where you spawn by old gas station
If you spawn by big red (big red warehouse) your extracts will be on the other side of the map towards old gas station

You should have customs map open on ur second monitor or ur phone and filter it so you only see the extracts

And if you spawn on the other side of the customs map, like by dorms and that kind of spawns then your extract will be on the far corners beyond big red warehouse (trailer park, Crossroads)

Some of the better dorms keys are dirt cheap.
110 and 114 on two story, 204 and 214 on three should all be sub 30k on a bad day and most are refunded by opening them once or twice.
110 has a fixed spawn too next to crackhouse so should be even cheaper for the loot you can find in there.

no its about midwayish through. There'll be token requirements like 2x marksman and 1x grenade for a node. You can exchange 5x of the same category (Gamemode, Weapon, ornaments) for 1x of a desired token, and you have to complete prior nodes before moving on to the later ones, like the skele shirt

1. I dont think there's a date on it, but the initial S0 battle pass lasted a while
2. It depends on the player. Like I think its like 5 ar/smg kills per token of that weapon, other ones like bolties I think are less kills. I only really play last hero and checkpoint so those rates I know. I avg about 40-50 kills in a checkpoint game so I get a decent amount of tokens per match, but the rate is much slower then obv if you avg 20 or less.

You can technically "speed it up" by seeing the nodes needed at each point and focusing those to not need the 5:1 exchange.

Hey mate, Running naked means you become ‘marked and cursed’ meaning all scavs permanently know where you are and are more accurate and aggressive. Basically try to avoid naked runs as it’s hard to survive even for top players. Light runs are better, cheap gear but enough to not trigger marked a cursed. We are talking cheap gun, mags with cheapest rounds, and a tier 2 vest (probs 60k all together) As for the money, run some safe scav runs, spawn in, loot around and avoid any threats, go to a near extract. 1 scav run should be able to fund 2-3 lightly geared PMC runs. You survive any of them and you’re back in the money

As for survival in PMC runs, 75% of the gunfights happen in the first 10 minutes. Lay low and let half the lobby die out, then start to move around, with less active players around (as many would’ve died off spawn in earlyfights), you’ll find surviving is easier

Yes it’ll come up as something to make in the hideout, you might need to build a generator or something first before it shows up, but the cost to build it is; 1 white ball, 1 red ball, 1 purple ball

You were one pair of working legs away from being all good then, easy mistake. When you scav next, try a smaller map that’s easier to learn. Customs is a great starter map, loads of loot and not too big. Quite easy to identify your position also with unique landmarks

If I was you, load up customs as a PMC and select ‘offline raid’, set bots to ‘none’ and start, and just run around everywhere

You’ll learn the map that way, anything you loot is lost as it’s an offline raid, but the main thing is learning the map

Ground zero is your best bet to scav next. It’s a smaller more linear map so it’s easy to learn. But due to how narrow it is, it’s quite common to bump into PMCs

Load up Tarkov . Dev site, click the maps tab, they are all there

Maybe do an offline PMC run on ground zero with bots set to ‘none’ as you wait

You can safely run around and learn the map, controls, where loot is and how to extract

Yes so the big difference is the underarmour. Most is tier 2 under protection, that one I believe is tier 3(you can check by hovering over armour class arrow)

And the fact is covers stomach

The stacking of a tier 5 plate with tier 3 under protection is very powerful

The only gear worth selling is high end stuff as the price gets expensive for marginal improvements. E.g best.suppresor in game is 100,000, i would sell it and buy a regular 50,000 suppressor and keep the extra. The only part of that kit that fits that logic is your armour, but running good armour is a good idea

You are missing one of the most important things in your loadout. A stack of spare bullets, even if they are the cheapest, a stack of 60 of the worst bullets is usually like 5,000 roubles. That way you can top up your mags as you go, and always have full mags ready to shoot

The 1/6x valday scope is an interesting one, the 1x is a bit hard to use due to visual recoil, and the 6x is very zoomed in for an ak. Interchange would be more suitable due to the long range outdoor engagements

During the main story quests you occasionally find tapes you can then play on your recorder, you don’t unlock the next part of the mission until it’s played so: you either take the recorder in in your special slot, and play the recording in game. Or you carry the recording out and play it in your stash, but this means you have to extract with the tape

So the firing range is free ammo, it’s in your hideout (you can press the ‘enter’ key to walk around in your hideout btw)

Offline raids are like normal raid but nothing is saved, if you die, doesn’t matter, if you extract, you lose everything you found, you will always return to your stash with the same kit, it’s a pointless game, but great for learning maps and recoil

Tbh the game doesn’t make it clear at all, it literally shows you all the XP you got, but doesn’t make it obvious it doesn’t go to your PMC

At level 4, questing is the way forward, remember you get xp from everything. So just do stuff, even bleeding gives you xp, healing, breaking limbs. So even in the bad games you will level up

Early quests give like 4,000XP but if you get them out the way they start to give more and more so you’ll be 15 before you know it

Doing a scav run on gz and turned a corner and came across a guy kitted like a pmc (no mask, pmc hat and good gear probably from a pmc he killed). He was looting a dead body, so I lit him up and killed him. Turns out he was a scav. whoops! LOL

I felt bad, but at the same time not because he was loaded to the brim with stuff I need for my hideout.

Hey mate, M4’s are good a rayven said, but til you can get a red dot working on them they isn’t blocked by the raised iron sight, your best friend is the AkS-74u

This can be modded to fit a red dot. If you remove the iron sight, you can add a ‘pilgrim’ dust cover which fits the ‘MRS’ red dot from skier

Any toolbox/too crate has a chance to spawn it, The smugglers camp north east of shoreline is a great place to go, 90% of people leave them behind so even if it’s looted it should still be there

I’ve had mixed instances, times they’ve stopped bullets dead, and times it’s gone straight through. Same with every wall in the game, some are paper others not. Higher pen rounds definitely go through and carry more damage though
