always keep in mind to play unpredictably when making decisions

ive stared at tarkovs maps twice as much as i ever looked at izurvive

i only play official unless its one of those community servers where its raid time all the time.

sat outside of north west for 40 minutes watching a supply truck and when the guy came back i killed him, dayz is such a waiting game

while siege players are great at holding corners, dayz players aren´t shy of waiting, looting and going an extra mile (walking sim) to outflank an enemy and reeange from an unpredictable angle

the pvp is actually very close to r6 in the way you need to flank listen for footsteps and think outside the box when i started using my r6 knowledge thats when i started to be able to get my feet off the ground

you need to pay close attention to your gear before going into a raid ive picked up

gear fear gets you killed

use that lvl 4 plate carrier/helmet your gonna lose it eventually

being to a Player or scav or just a wipe

also another tip as a brand new player thats starting to make headway trust your instincts if every fiber of your being is telling you not to go in a room or building dont you can always circle back or come back another raid dont take risks you dont need to

having rotation knowledge from r6 is very helpful skill to have in tarkov

Those are thermals. Once you've used them a couple times you'll start to understand why they are as expensive as they are.

Does anyone have any tips to survive on Ground zero? I spawned in a parking garage and walked forward just to get shot by a guy around the corner, my raid lasted 19 seconds. I checked out a map and 4 of the spawns are all 50 meters from each other. I always get bum rushed, rush someone else, get 1-2 kills then die from a 3rd guy.

If you peak them and aim head level you can kill them before they react to you

You rlly don’t have to be scared of the ai especially in close quarters

Especially at the spot you’re at you have a ton of cover and a teammate who you can run back to if he starts pushing you after you fail a peak

1. depends some are insta kill for being out of bounds basically but mostly yes
2. i played a thousand hour solo groups are less mobile than being solo and usually get seen faster so both are viable playstyles
3. scavs are bots bear or usec are real

for scavs you will see russian names and it will say scav
if its a player scav it will not show the player name so the only way to know is by looking at how they play and move.

For bosses / guards it will also say boss / guard. guards typically have pretty unique names as well depending on the boss.

Players will display as BEAR or USEC and the name will be ??? unless you pick up and make it out with their dogtag (or die with it in your butt).

Then raiders / rogues will show up respectively as that and also have unique names (rogues especially)

at or about level 30 seems to be the standard, when you can discern friend from foe. and shoot straight. the kits you run are worth something AND the ammo you use can pen 3+. some people run certain mags loaded a certain way. you just have to be comfortable getting shot/shot at a lot and can stay calm under pressure. it may only be pixels but labs is a different monster

Have a map open and document their pathing. .
From there you can use the map to figure out points to investigate for hide sites and locations that will ambush these organic trails players follow

there are def some elements of the hardcore wipe I enjoyed. It's hard for me to give a comparison becuase this was my first full wipe I played from the start. I've been an off and on player since the beginning of it and only now took the time to learn the game and get kappa. so to me. this IS tarkov. I think if it stays like this in 1.0 (but change test drive and other tasks) I don't have much of an issue
