Genuinely though for gameplay, you should play the maps you enjoy the most. Really get to learn map knowledge. And by that I don’t mean you know what a building looks like inside. But how to properly pvp on it using flanks, shortcuts. Or how to get away for that matter.
Where high value loot is. Spawn knowledge and understanding where a pmc that spawned nearby you is likely to either camp you or move to a certain location. Hearing shots and understanding where those come from. And 20 minutes in a raid predict where pmcs most likely are to engage or avoid them

Loot at the lfg channel for some experienced teammates, or go in solo at night, fix your post fx settings to fit for your monitor and turn the brightness all the way up, and then just play slow. Most people doing night raids are just focusing on farming bosses for now, so you should be good if you are quiet enough. You can even ask some PMC you meet to let you go without a fight, might work, might not.

early wipe you spend alot, and if you arent super versed on how to be efficient youre gonna be broke

You gotta do some practice runs with just a PM and cheapo rig or backpack. If you can reliably drop 2 or 3 scavs and loot them every match you'll be fine on "decent" guns and "usable" ammo

Yea it can be pretty rough, definitely worth looking into running in a team with anyone friendly you can find in discord, it can be helpful see how people move and have some survival raids until you get the feel for it yourself

In it's most basic form all headsets do the following:
Increase the range at which you hear enemy movements (footsteps, shuffles etc), and i think they make them a bit louder as well
They also suppress background noise to an extent (rain, machine drones, general ambiance)
They also make loud noises (eg grenades, your own weapon firing) a little quieter, acting as a compressor
The ranges and extents to which they all do this is different though, eg GSSh headset is probably the worst in all of these but still gives an edge over those with no headset at all

And i believe your ears won't ring afterwards if there's an explosion close by but i might be making that up

It quite literally is just a time thing. The more playtime you have in the game the easier you'll be able to quickly tell them apart. As for tips it really just is the clothes and gear. On top of that, AI movement is very obviously different from player movement. It's hard to explain it if you're new but AI just moves in a very easily recognizable way. Doesn't look the same as real people.

Spawn with pistols, pick off a few scavs and some of the guns they drop are good. Avoid the Toz shotgun but any AK style or mosin you find will be useful. Aim for the head
