Consider this, generally speaking most enemies are running ammo that will pen class 3 100% of the time. Running it for its protection value is next to worthless

The ricochet chance is really what matters. Ratnik is good since it has a high bounce chance, is quite cheap compared to others and allows you to wear headphones (which some other doggy helmets won't let you)

Personally speaking, i run ammo that pens class 4 100% of the time. I assume that everyone else does the same. So ricoshet is all that matters to me

you lose rep every time you kill a scav as a scav, so it gives you shitter gear and a longer scav cooldown, so its best to not be greedy and be chill as a scav

scavs shoot only if u shoot first at a scav. u can not directly see if they are scavs. but AI dont jump for example. u can see it how they move. use mic or voice line to find out. most player scavs react to voiceline with a voiceline too.
