UHMWP is pretty much the best overall, ceramic is by far worst. I don't know much about the rest, other than steel is heavy, dosen't take that many hits but it's super repairable. Aramid (Kevlar) only exist for soft armor now and some helmets i belive.

The AUG is really good but you don't have access to good ammo yet. Get to 23 at least for cheap m855
AKS-74U/UB/etc are all good with PP or better.

okay well good 5.45 ammo is very easy to find so just check some ammo spawns and you'll get alot of good ammo. AUG is also a good and cheap 5.56 gun but like Shep said you probably won't have access to good 5.56 ammo yet

If you're rich you can buy m855 from flea but it gets pricy fast

You can also always use 9mm stuff like the pp19, mp5, mpx, etc
It does very little damage so you have to aim for heads, but they fire really fast and have no recoil so headshots are easy to go for
