So is this game just one of those ones that you need to practice in the "offline" mode to figure out what is going on? I just tried my first online raid (after trying 6 to 9 offline raids) - and it was over very quickly, died from AI. They seem very OP - could barely hit them with the M4....? Quickly used all the medical stuff I had on me. Lost everything, but have double of them from my $75 purchase - but this feels like a battle that is not going to be won... Good place for a newbie to Tarkov (but far from a newbie to FPS) to figure out how to tackle this difficult game?

Yeah, I fly mainly (mil spec) - so study level mil spec sims are fine for me (appreciated and understood) - but this seems like one hand is tied behind the back almost. you level up traders and level up yourself for flea

theres a lot of gear you can only get from higher traders, and the beginner gear is really crap

on the flea you can buy most mid range stuff

priority 2: level your traders
both cannot be done without doing quests
hideout provides a bunch of bonuses and passive income to keep you raiding at the worst of times
high trader levels sell better gear for cheaper and have exclusive top tier gear

there are things that insure well and things that don’t, usually based on how likely your killer is to take it

if you exfil with one bit of progress no one can take it away

so that’s a solid ground you can stand on

the way i see it is your gear is bad but its the best you've got, and nobody will take it because its bad compared to theirs so its worth insurance

insurance is also really cheap on early game items

veterans will “stack” quests and do multiple in the same raid and get huge progress quickly, but as a noob just do it one step at a time

yes and no, some ammo is needed to pen certain armors and some ammo is alomost "jack of all trades" it really depends on where int he wipe you are chronologically and what map you raiding.

What folks miss is the counter push timing. There are a couple of instances in most situations where the guy pushing is "in transit" , and during so, this is your chance to kill him. If he gets past a threshold you're gonna get bonked 9/10 times

In this instant (in tarkov) from Blue to purple, the guy inside the room has a better chance to kill than the guy outside

Center fed rooms are a tad harder to defend but again, the first yello angle to the last the shooters inside have an advantage against the green shooter

The idea is to "push" right as the green guy commits to the yellow section, effectively "opening" the target area up for you while minimzing the amount you show to them

You don't need to "leave the room" but you can swing the angles on them still

Hiding on red line, and stepping to (shooters right) one step puts you in the path of the yellow line, most folks don't "actually" clear , so they will over correct and miss you

Honestly go in raid with an OP-sks with a scope and 10 rounds of PS , and forget the shift key is a thing and you'll learn a lot.

Cheap enough you can spam it, but deadly enough you can kill 95% of players if you play smart

either way you will learn something about which ever map you're on.

If you want to see numbers, go on YouTube and look at 8gb vs 16gb. It’s always a huge difference
