Pick your fights.
Don't stand in the same spot while fighting for too long, try to move around a lot so the enemy gets confused and doesn't know where you are.
Try to peek left as little as possible. + There's LOADS of videos online explaining things very well.
Use the Wiki, it has a lot of info and it's explained very well
Use eft.monster and Battlebuddy to check ammo types and quests
