it's usually a team honestly, you definitely need to be good/decent at active directory that is an essential for all red teamers, there will be some red teamers that are good at the Windows internals/Windows API if that is the case they will most likely be good at bypassing antivirus and edrs, so what it is technically is some people on the team would be good at one thing and the other would be better on another thing not all of the skills

So it is team effort

You are definitely going to need both of those certs, The Net+ and Sec+ especially the Security Plus it is essential for all security jobs very apparent in the government sector so go for your Security+ first and then go to your Net+ and then you can start going into pentesting certs, the A+ was a waste of time tbh

It can be difficult to get started with if you don't have any prior experience with web development. But if you do, it can be quite easy actually depending on your experience. Because if you have experience in building real world apps and know how some features might have been built, you are more likely going to be able to devise ways to break them

For instance, I discovered my first bug within eight hours of starting with my first program on YesWeHack, and went on to find many bugs quite quickly because I have been a developer and architect for 30 years and counting. I have heard of many individuals who begin directly in security and continue for a year or even longer before finding their first bug. It seems pretty common actually. As for duplicates, they are frustrating, but they are also an inherent part of the game. Unfortunately, there isn't much we can do about that.
