The problems I've seen discussed here today are significantly less than what they had last time so far. They aren't going to shut it down until or unless it reaches about that same level of issues. I think that was no scoring, infinite resources for some raids, infinite defending ships for others, and lots of lag.

Revisiting how dumb this Amalgam event(s) is. The duration is too short for F2P to take part if they utilize upgrading when possible (scarce as-is since the parts show every 3 days and everyone wants to accelerate benefits from the ship itself; if they are smart).

And from a P2W… well, I don’t see an “offer” for someone to BUY 💰 parts to take part in it also. Seems like a common sense problem of “how can one use this event to compete healthy and effectively”… the audience is just a sitting here UNABLE to do anything but buy a full ship and that’s it.

Please do - the event store has been useless this arc since the way to get those trophies hasnt happened and the arc ends in a week. So three servers have an event store they dont get to use at all for the entire arc. Seems strange to not let us earn them in some other fashion.

If you build something from scratch you can build whatever you want. If your concept and game design doesn't account for it then you will of course not build anything that would make it easier to build something entirely different. Software like this is not generic but very specific.

It's the way scopely ends the game... They lack of new ideas now the have already done SNW- arc.
Just let all servers burn thorugh all the material (upgrade/preparation) then throw out all he non participating... and then close one server after the other. that's it.

Mining is ok, been killed a few times, but almost done with the events

@pseudo rune one other issue with the three servers being excluded this week besides not getting trophies and Una shards is we also have no chance for the subspace building parts. You say all servers will be in rotation, but I guarantee you will have filler events in place for neutral zone servers in the future. So maybe ask the folks there about some kind of event we could do tomorrow to get some of the SMS/AMS things at least so we can be somewhat caught up. Just a thought.

What is the participation rate like on your server? Based on mine I wouldn't call it a successful event. The xslb provides rewards up to 250 players and yet only 93 players across 2 servers have actually registered a point so looks like the vast majority are ignoring the event completely.

APAC actually starts at UTC+4 which is not "a day ahead of the USA since they are using UTC-4 (east coast) as their base time.
Granted, yes - it spans to UTC+12 but even Australia is only UTC+8 to UTC+10 so 12-14 hours "ahead" of scopely.

Cycling back to the "every x events one server is missing out" - this is true and more pronounced on APAC. for APAC it's 1 every 9 runs they miss out, while on EU it is 1 every 59 runs and US it is 1 every 73 runs. So in fact APAC servers will miss out 6+ events while EU and US only miss out on 1 on average.

Since this is tied to upgrading a building, I get why this leaves a bad taste in your mouth but since there are new servers and mergers coming for sure I guess this will fluctuate over time and might not be as bad as the math looks now.

I think it was Simpy I was talking about it with when they had the abortive attempt last time...

Scoring should be PVP (either server), and hostiles/mining on the other server, with a range of systems to hostile/mine in, with points weightings accordingly (so higher scoring pve activity is also higher weighted pvp scoring to encourage risk vs reward of completing faster)
