It’s a level 51 mission according to the patch notes released at the beginning of the month. I believe it is tagged 40 at first so that as many people as possible can obtain it. Nothing to back that up.

Patch notes say it’s supposed to be lvl 51. When you go to the warp 185 system, the next system is warp 205. Then it flips to a lvl 51 mission. Then it wants you to defeat 5 lvl 51 hostiles. I’m not upset about having a free g5 mission that I can archive for later that I may or may not have gotten access to.

Greetings! How is is possible that I completed all the SMS events that came up in game for my Ops lvl (30) during this current event, and it ends in less than 12 hours & I be ONE TROPHY SHORT??? AND it was announced in game updates that an event even gave EXTRA trophies (which I never received ... I watched the count of them in the Recruit Tendi event & they never increased more than one per completed SMS)
By the way, I added all the events in the In Game Announcement Center (were News is accessed) & I count 26. ...NOT 27

No it’s not a bug, it’s been that way for 3 years. It’s dependant on some conditions only know by them.

For instance, I'm ops 32 and respected by all factions, and I don't get it at all (though I haven't built any of the rare faction ships).
I guess it's bec of the rep level, Scopely expects me to build an epic ship which I can't do until I'm ops 34 (or shipyard 34 precisely). So I think as soon as I'm technically able to build a 34 epic, I'll get it again.

Well, for me it is worth it. I understand that for you it isn't. So be it. I scrape any material I can get from anywhere, because I refuse to pay more than the elite battle pass each month, and even the 100 extra material, and the extra resources, are well worth it to me to try and keep up with the 'middle runners' on my server. And I find it quite easy to complete by camping a spawn in Ty-Gokor with my Saladin. Can kill about 30 or so per hull now with the below deck officers assisting, and get a nice selection of booty at the same time. Or I can camp a spawn in Wolf and hit all day on just a few hulls.

Lol, I don’t even get the elite pass. Any little bit helps, but I don’t understand the absolute heartbreak people show every month over not getting it. It’s nice if you get it, but it’s not life-altering.

I guess to me it is just a 'fairness' thing. I agree it isn't life altering or even necessary. Can clear over 1000 of each UC material per month without it, so talking about less than 10% of crystal and gas (can't remember the total amount from MS gained). But STFC is a game where every little bit counts. And when some get it, and some don't, and there doesn't seem to be any real good reason why not, that's when people complain. I am just looking for an explanation, and hopefully a more even application.

Basically - Chen's officer ability reduces incoming hostile energy damage, T'laan for kinetic, explorers and traders are generally energy only, interceptors kinetic only, batlteships are a combination, so you aim for the officer that gives the most coverage of incoming attacks.

It's less of an issue when using cadets/NextGen, because they give a reduction to everything as well.
When you get Pike or Picard, they double down on the abilities of Chen'/T'laan, so you focus on the one damage type at a time

I think that currently Empower the front line is failing bcs leaders aren’t getting the bad feedback from last two months. So there is no need to invest more time, money, better processes at the team which is doing the hard work which was making out of me a real big fan of this game. I started to spend money on it, then a bit more - but I will reduce it now to the bare minimum again until I‘ll see an arc without new bugs, event fails with personal insults afterwards (42000bn Tritium event fail ekret from Borg )!

So if you have a dock at level 34, and you want to see the points you'll get going to 35, you look at the dock level 35 for the power increase

In general, it's expected that you'll hit the harder hostile options for your pts as you level so that while the MS are higher, the amount of time spent isn't nearly so disproportionate.
