DJ said the reason scopely don't give armada directives is they view them at x5 value. it's not one armada they are giving out, it's 5.
it makes sense from a rewards perspective but then the events run contrary to that with an emphasis on spending directives.

it's non stop, that's the real problem. there are 5ish armada events every part (SMS not even thinking about the leaderboards...) and there is no way to source that many directives for free.
But the live ops team and the devs don't seem to agree on the value of the directives..

If you're still not scoring points for PvP using the correct ships in the correct system, please submit a customer support ticket so they can help you with the scoring issue

In the mean time, if you're not concerned with losing Romulan reputation, I'd suggest hunting romulans for the time being.

I haven't tested on the Romulan hostiles in the systems that don't give/take reputation, but that might be a working alternative as well

Lock a faction, and work on another so that saving up for an epic ship would only impact faction officer income of that one. The other faction allows you to spend to your heart's content

The missions have a recommended level range in them, and the rewards might not be so great. In general, get the missions if you really want to experience the story and lore of STFC, and grab other stuff if you want power. in general, I avoid epic officers because they're quite expensive unless you're just finishing one up. But Riker and Picard are cheaper than normal, and they aren't really available outside of unusual circumstances. I'd go for ship development in this one since there's no high tier rare officer without limit. The bev pack is good to get as well

the double officer packs are good value (except the borg miner trash). the rest I'd go for any you are close to unlocking then ship materials/blueprints etc.
