So many questions. I'm getting over the fact that I incorrectly took 1m of someone's opl in a lucrative token area that I now feel compelled to return. But, for Risky Business, I can pvp in three named areas for my level. I get points for using a faction miner to kill a faction miner but can I use my Antares to kill a Valkis in Rom land? Or do I need to use the correct faction miner to kill the correct faction miner for each faction? And I get points even if they are not OPL? And when I steal in these target areas, do I have to steal from my ops level only? Do I have to steal from someone using a faction miner only? And to get the mining bonus, do I have to use the correct faction miner in the correct zone? It actually made more sense to steal from the token zones because no one really goes opl in regular mining locations (well, not enough to be worth stealing) and the chaos it caused when people were hit for 1m OPL was ... interesting.

I wanted to thank you to allowing me to getting to know you and see all these amazing fans that exist. It has been fun, but also very frustrating. I am just a merely 34 very active player from one server but I am quitting to actively playing the game as it has turned into a constant drag of the same thing to do over and over again, with more money required to make it work, and with constant failures on game design and delivery.

The thing is that I just don't enjoy playing the game anymore. Outside of us the community of players that love the series, the game itself has regressed into a profit extraction scheme with limited added value to the game over the long term. Let me explain.

With this swarm arc, and with the debacle over the impress me event, it feels all the same over and over again. Get the thousands of kills needed to complete something, buy hundreds of dollars of packages to win auction boards to access the new content and buffs offered, and be constantly patient with all deployment mishaps on every month pass.

The problem is that if this all had been a couple of times on a newly developed game you could give it the benefit of the doubt that it will improve. It hasn’t.

Furthermore, the game nowadays mainly relies only on its hostile farming dynamics, auction events, and the ever-present glitches and wrongfully deployed events while leaving exploration, pvp combat, and community building as an afterthought to the money spending schemes.

I also feel the game is only putting value on premium packages while dismissing the regular events rewards, monthly passes, and what used to be highly rewarding community experience of Armadas and the PvP dynamics towards spend as much as you can to get limited nostalgia content. Player interaction is now secondary to spending and pay to play has become even more central to the game.

Perhaps, beyond those reward specific arguments, the most important change to me to me is the disappointing increasingly transformation of a game that was about exploration and pvp combat into a farming for hostiles game. Similarly, I feel with very few limited missions being rolled out the storytelling that was one of the game strongest points is almost not existing now to the player experience.

Other than to farm newly named hostile ships that for all purposes are a copy to the previous ships; see regular swarms with the new swarms; veteran ships with regular ships, regular worms with higher level worms., everyday tasks are all the same over and over, indefinitely. Now event tasks are also all over and over the same.

It feels more like work than the fun and adventure that the series is and the game should be.

It is even more sad to see that some of the actual changes introduced in the game like new ships and new crews have been an excuse to further monetize the game experience where the only feasible way to fully engage with the new content and devices is to constantly spend large amounts of money.

For these reasons, I am retiring from actively playing this game.

I no longer feel join nor fun to what is a subpar game compared to other games with better interfaces, game dynamics, and content.

Furthermore, I feel this dynamic is against what Star Trek is, where a vision of inclusion, diversity, and overall engagement and where the Star Trek has been reduced to a simple mean to monetize the franchise from its players nostalgia.

Therefore, I cannot in good conscience dedicate so many hours and fuel even more money to what an otherwise worsening pay-to-play game.

I hope that by wording the loss of this active player the game company and the franchise will attempt to make the game wholesome and not the empty auctioning, fully glitched, and narrative broken machine it has become of late.

Now. Can we fix the impress me event before that launches again. As an under 35 player, there are just not enough rares and epics that spawn. Seeing people waste directives by starting armadas that someone else has started just to get their points? And completely unfair for 35+ who don't have a Franklin A. There should have been an option to pick one if you have a Franklin a and one if you do not.

The event description(s) are unclear. For example, as L37 do I only score faction G3 miner vs. faction G3 miner hits in my designated systems vs. L37-41, or 32-41?

you only score in pvp in the designated systems if you use your faction miner (op30+) or horizon (ops 26-29) or envoy (op16-25) or fortunate (ops10 - 15)

Yellow flags for other players pvp systems. Would need accompanied with an explanation of course. But if they did it consistently, people would catch on and it would be super helpful.

Could even back that up with a warning when warping into said systems if you wanted to be super duper clear about it.

They don’t expect everyone to get on the leaderboard. There are events that give out participation trophies and there are events that inspire competition. Some alliances will have an advantage (probably at some point people there spend or spent $$)

Thats my point, I'm 37, I'm struggling to stay in rewards and I've got good miners but I can't touch the 38s and 39s cos they can score double what I can. I have to mine double what they are to keep up, for 3 days. It's just absurd. I'm in a large active alliance, but we don't hold a T3 because there are alliances that have bigger whales than we do holding them. I don't have an issue with that, they took it and held them fair and square. My problem is that they didn't think to just have a fairer scoring bracket. Considering they're more than capable of creating them like they did with the pvp ones.

Well depends if you save up a lot to make it high on your recruit lb, or else milestones can often be better, or more consistent. But at least if you save up your faction recruit tokens for a couple weeks then pump them on the recruit SLB you can often take it out. But pays to keep an eye on what the ranks are often like for your LB

The problem is with players expecting to be able to do everything, even when there is choice. Players need to take some responsibility for Scopely not knowing how to please us because we as a community keep demanding opposite things while we try to bend the game into being what we want it to be. Do what you can. Pass on what you can't or don't want to do.

Yes and no. It was difficult to track that small because I was quad mining. I'm certain it didn't account for the bonus though. I think I finished with about 1.9m points total each day. That includes mining the 130k gas, about 200k ore, and we'll over a million crystal each time( the real lucrative system)

The problem is, if the skins are really only for the last day, then don't put a note for the entire 3 day outlaw part that armadas might drop skins. Make it clear and communicate to your player base that on the last day will be armadas for skins. Otherwise you have players wasting directives to test to see if they are going to drop or not. The issue with scopely right now is communication, we were given a rehashed apex outlaw news article that was supposed to go into detail for this part.

thats a bit surprising, but it might be because the hits are just too much for either the shield regen and/or hull regen. Might have to wait to tier your enterprise for that one

That's the best crew for yellow mission targets on the Enterprise. Unfortunately for it to work you need the shield to stay up, and as you can see it didn't. Maybe check the log and see if you had really bad luck with Kirk missing a bunch of rounds or something, otherwise you might need to wait until your Enterprise is higher level so there is more shield recharge each hit.

Would that crew work on an Augur? I have a 3.4m boss I haven’t really tried out too many attempts on yet. Explorer boss, augur is 2.4m.

Unfortunately I do not believe so. The Enterprise is really the best platform since the permanent shield (when you get the shield health + ship ability high enough for it to work) absorbs 80% of all unmitigated damage so Leslie at 10% with synergy can tank 50% of your hull health each round in unmitigated damage. The Augur would need Kirk + Spock for the shield so Leslie would only be 5%, halving that amount. The base hull health of the Augur would be higher than a comparable Enterprise, but not enough to make up for only half as much hull % being "healed" I suspect.

You could do Leslie/Pike/Moreau for 15% of the Hull health healed a round, but since that is not a huge strength variance I think a number of crews might work. Marcus/Kirk/Spock and stack defense would have a good shot too I think.

I can do the 4.3M bosses fine on my 2.3M Ent. For the Explorers I get them with either Five-Kirk-Khan or Leslie-Moreau-Kirk around 50% of the time, and can guarantee it with double tapping. For Battleships it has to be Leslie-Moreau-Kirk.

The 5.6M ones are too tough at my level, even double tapping. Especially the interceptors that seem to fire 5 shots per weapon, a killer for the Ent's ship ability.

Their lower members ride there coat tails to victory since you get 8,100 for destroying a 40 rare with a Stella, but only 2000 for starting. So members of alliance with all the 50 members running nonstop 40’s get easy win.

Vemet sounds great, but always seemed lackluster compared to what ash does with damage.

The most formidable PvP crew was 5/10, Vemet & GG w health pushed high - it hurts.

I think they expect you to either join the swarm ticketed event for free or to have accumulated enough tickets for one of the other events. There was a ranking event a week or two back in which you could earn tickets.
