Can someone explain an event that requires 55 million points to finish but I can either attack lvl22's for 43k points (over 1250 enemies) or attack lvl26's for 1.2 mil but then have 4 hours of repairs each time...I'm ops28

Makes it harder. You can try Kumak captain, Nero and Decius. May also have luck with Kirk captain, Spock and Chen vs Pareleon. Depends what you've got, may cut down the work a bit.

He's ops 28...the milestone jump for separatist event when you hit that point is famously awful. It's as if they assume you build and tier up a faction ship immediately you hit that point. It's been a real downer for several players I know in the last couple of months

if you are looking to cut costs send a fortunate with vemet as capt with nero and helvia

will score 500k to 1m points each time

Burning still works but you have to survive the first round

takes them along time to charge up their big weapon and with high hull burn does significant damage

The Separatist milestones for ops 26-29 have always been difficult for a lot of players the jump in the milestone pts in those levels is ridiculously huge, That's why the suicide burn was always recommended

I assumed you made typo like everyone that calls the vahklas the vaklas

but vahklas with PMT vs interceptor is better than vahklas with PMC vs explorer, the penetration helps kill it faster you take less hits

You'll take much more damage hitting the interceptors with PMT though. Maximum damage reduction with PMT is 74% vs 96% with PMC, and that's not considering the energy weapons that you're no longer protected against with those interceptors.

So while it took me 2 hits to kill the explorer, I took considerably less damage and was able to perform much better overall.

Actually had better piercing hitting the explorers too 🤔 must be a quirk of being outgunned anyway, better to beat an off mitigation stat than to have all 3 squashed.

Main thing with the hostile exploders is that they're solely energy weapons, whereas battleships/interceptors have a mix quite often - so even going against the triangle they're easier to deal with, with Chen - all their hits are mitigated rather than 'most'

The explorers in Wolf are the same - stupidly easy kills for their levels

The mixed damage is certainly an issue, and is why I mentioned it, however even if everything was identical except for damage type you'd be looking at 74% damage reduction vs 96% damage reduction at max.
This may not seem like a big difference, but that means with everything else being the same you will still take 6.5 times more damage from kinetic vs energy..

If they were pulling ultra token from this type of hunt the faction event it makes sense to me that they add more of the new token for the TOS recruit chests, normal faction hunt is one board for each faction this one is specifically rom/Klingon in respect or homage to the TOS storyline where most of the time the Federation is on shaky terms with both the Romulan Star Empire and the Klingon Empire.

For the Spock event they have been consistent. Officer capture LB are not always the same. Fo instance, Capture Borg Jaylah was mostly Armada Directives use.

They talk about how they want people to have a balance and not spend too much time in the game and then double us up like this. Faction hunt is awesome. Look guys I do love FH, I don’t love having it during apex when I also have to hunt eclipses and do armadas. It’s all an insane amount of manual work to get it done. And no one in their right mind is going to skip a faction and miss out on the XP and tokens and epic officer directives. It’s just a time sink that I don’t have a lot of and I’m sure many others are in a similar boat. Scopley is on the record stating they want players to have a balance and not need to spend hours and hours in game every day. But then double us up like this. Faction Hunt is amazing but it does probably need to be more of a weekend thing. The rewards from all 3 are necessary for most people unless you don’t want to lose faction rep for one reason or another. Scopely is just contradicting themselves more. Which is about par for the course. But they aren’t going to give you extra stuff for defending them like this

Kill ships in Andoria or Beta Penthe. They may be 33-35 but they spawn quick and in fewer locations making it faster between kills. Plus you dont need Pike crew so you can send your best with Pike elsewhere and speed run one faction. You don't have to do this event only one way.

Kill in Wolf for 38-40. Only explorers and weak ones at that

In the most recent event store the USS Jellyfish was available for at least ops level 38 players, likely because of the calls for Scopely to offer means to acquire it for use in the G2 ship PvP events where some people felt that the Jellyfish had an unfair advantage. But it's a new change, so lots of ifs, buts and maybes.

I was in this predicament... I found getting epic officers at t1/2 wasn't that useful as no more shards come out unless you buy packs. Whereas when you move up you get to work on combat research and new ships etc. So for me it was better to move on

@narrow walrus I find that camping at the odd numbered ops levels until I complete all available research at that level makes you unbeatable in your weight class. Most ppl rush ops upgrades. We have a lot of weak azz 39s right now on our server.

That said, 35 is, imo the sweet spot to camp. Max your faction ship as much as you can. Do all your researches and you will be pretty much untouchable by most 40 and below.

Typically paid officers like that are given some "exclusive" time to the folks that bought them, which I don't actually have a problem with. You spend the cash to buy an officer, having some exclusivity with him for a little bit shouldn't be unheard of.

I’m 13 shards short of a Harrison and they always put the brackets as 31-39 instead of, ya know, 30-33, 34-36, 37-39, 40-45 and 45+ which makes much more sense. I can’t compete as a fresh 34 against 37s 38s and 39s. Not even to get 25th to miraculously still be 1 shardshort. So all those missions and events get you 25 shards and then getting last gets you 12. When you need 13. Scopley is evil. They can literally give away as many shards as they want spread among as many positions as they want. But they artificially limit themselves. There’s no reason why top 5 can’t get full unlocks 6-20 get like 2/3, 21-50 get half, and 51-100 get 1/3

Its classified. Scopely seem to think it needs to be kept secret. All it does is wind plyrs up as there seems no logical critieira as to who gets it and who doesn’t. In my alliance we have one plyr who has had everytime its ran and others that never get it. Until Scopely add some transparency it will continue to be a reason for some plyrs leaving the game. They don't actually have to change the event itself. Just change spawn patterns in Systems. Make it so that it equalizes according to what is missing so that systems don't end up being just one level (the one no one needs).

Is there something up with respawns ? For military supremacy I have to hit 40s. I was in a L39 system on my own, and in a 1 hour period, hitting 38s, 39s & 40s I got 15 40s. It’s just not interesting or worth doing this event, particularly with a Bortas

Actually doing it with cow is good as it means players are doing more hostiles then they would if it was just cow. Most players do their solos and then done. Doing MS alongside cow means those players are doing more hostiles to do the ms as well

If the component is red you may think you have enough but u don't because of decimal rounding. Most commonly found in franklin upgrades concerning mods. It says you have 2M of 2M mods but really you have 2.0054 and need 2.10567. but description rounds both to 2M

Ok ok. I know I should have an epic by now but I’ve made bad choices on use of faction tokens in early days. Nonetheless. I’m level 39 and don’t have an epic ship so... locked out from doing the event. Normally there is an alternative, albeit slower, way of completing the events if you use a lower level ship but not this time.

The irony is that once I get the tokens needed for 20 augur bp from the event store I can get my augur and got a metric tonne of ore saved to level it quickly. So it’s chicken and egg!

very untrue, lot plan to skip 32 ships and got for 34, which make sense as until now a maxed out 28 was more than good enough for lvl 34 content, and least good enought till they get there 34 ships

So it very calculated worthwhile tactic, untill suddenly out nowhere scopy start throwing these unbalanced events out, level too fast would be 36 still using only a 28 ship
