The difference is that someone participated in the Cota event and received very good resources for it that will help them rise higher, while someone did not participate in the event and will not receive anything, but everyone will receive the same compensation, regardless of whether they entered the game or not.

I have been doing veng events for a couple of months. For the SMS , going to once every 2 weeks shouldn’t be much an issue. To max the awards in one event takes a lot of mats. I was able to max the first one I did, since then it is hard to get past the 2nd level.

I already knew it was going to happen but maybe you guys will think of changing latinum rush now because the PVP aspect of it is out with the new player bracket for PVP. There's like no OPC targets anywhere I can find within my range I'm willing to hunt higher players I used to hit higher and lower it doesn't matter I'm hunting OPC miners. latinum Rush is a waste of time now.
And it was one of the last enjoyable PVP aspects of this game since the incursion was trashed.

Maxing event is not the issue. I have never been even close to achieve that. The issues are: 1. RLB is now very heavy spend only. Some of my alliance mates have scored high in RLB with light spend as the RLB has been twice a week and some RLBs were not supercompetitive. With twice a month event there is no hope for a mortal. 2. The Vengenace events are now midweek only. I would strongly suspect that CotA is replaced with some kind of officer mat event taking place wkends. As mats are limited you need to decide whether to go for venge or new officers (not to mention Aphelion events now also every other week). And as we know, getting Venge will take months for a light spender, more for FTP. Before you could at least spend for venge during other spend events and get (parts of) two birds with one stone.

I was referring to the veng upgrade events. Not sure of impact of bp sourcing but I suspect they are similar. I do get a pack or two a month but have used spends and all mat spends to count towards veng event. I have only had it about 3 months but have it at t8 with my focus on it. With all this spending on it I only placed in the RLB 1 time. It is very competitive. I could have not spreading spend out to every sms but patience not my strong point. You are likely right going to every 2 weeks will likely make RLB more competitive but I think it has always been a spenders event.

The point is, it now makes upgrading the Vengeance an impatience slog, not an organic smooth process. It's really transparent, trying to get people to buy packs instead of waiting. It was actually one of the best structured improvement events, now nerfed - instead of 8 or 9 events per month, now only two. What's worse is there's no explanation, just a "we're doing this" which just adds to the bad feeling.

Fortunately, Discord prevents people from expressing their true feelings, but this is egregious and vile.

My place of work recently implemented that AI and my god it cuts down on the time to figure out bugs in our code and helps up fix stuff so much faster

for those who do not know about Clause AI, its a developer AI that is designed to read logs, review your managed code and determine what and why errors occur. it is really really good at it.

you can use claude for free, but you need to pay for the co-work addon and tbh the free version can read logs but without access to the base code it will struggle, co-work addon is for corporatate customers

co-work allows devs to create a folder for logs and one for the code repositories

co-work can even support all versions of your software

so you take a log of an error in your customer system, tell claude the version they are on and supply the log and it will narrow down the root cause and if a bug in your code tell you how to fix it if a bug in customer code tell you where they need to look at and even a possible fix

How is it possible that I was able to kill a Borg sphere in the first round, and then I'm only allowed to kill one ship, and the second time I get destroyed? This is programmed so that players can't do it unless they buy the crap ship they've pulled out of thin air. They always do the same thing. totally devalues the new ship though if these hostiles can be exploited in this way. congrats on the new ship commander, but you wont be doing well in leaderboards because a whale in a maxed cube trundles along with a crew that isnt working correctly. any ideas how this is happening because vemet should only restore 5% hull not leave you with most of it? cubes shouldnt be surviving anyway because it should be instant death if they had coded the proc correctly

well for the SLB/ALB that are currently running that is true, but outside of those you really got no benefit of killing these things with anything but a sphere. As the tasks i maverick faction are locked to shpere tier and require to hit them with it. you cant "punch up" with another ship

No, the Vger Vengeance don't give resource to up the Vengeance. There is a recurrent event for ops70+ which is not present today and it means we can't up the Vengeance anymore without these resources.

So the frequency of the event is divided by 4 and as it needs the same resources than the officers event of the week-end, we have to do a choice between Vengeance progression (which will be much slower anyway) and the officers which are often not really useful for g7 players. So I guess my ops 72 account will stop there. Thanks Scopely.

The G7 progression is already very slow and it became worse at every update... Nice understanding of player will... I feel like everything is done to make the players stop the game at the moment. As no, we won't buy more packs because of this, it's already too much since a long time, now the effect is to make players stop the game.
