It is not possible to complete this unless you take a trip to the store. Forge is now lvl 8 after refining 1 box yesterday and 1 today. Each box had 30 foundations. Refinery is based on forge level and won't give more until its lvl 11-20 and I HIGHLY doubt that will be 4-5k foundations. I have 5 leftovers from upgrading the forge today to lvl 8 so even refining tomorrow won't be enough to upgrade it again.

No one going to finish this unless they hit the store up. It should have been labeled as HEROIC.

I do not know how you keep screwing this stuff up. Did recent hires think they were working on Pokémon Go(or did that fall through?) when hired or something because it sure seems no one at Scope knows how STFC is played anymore.

Scopely has spent the last 2 months and this week zapping the fun out of the game with these events. Designing hard or impossible goals (without cash involved) doesn't generate positive player feelings.

I could look away from the bugs if they didn't keep pushing ridiculous goals and not even attempting to adjust like in the past. Adding an extra day or two or labeling heroic isn't how the adjustments used to be handled a year or two ago.

I‘ve got feedback for you, Scopely: Your milestone point requirements are WAY too high.
If I have to fly more than 2-3 times to complete a milestone, I‘m simply not going to bother.
Flying 20 times in 25-min slots to gather 50M worth of Trellium-D?
Certainly not.
Especially, as the rewards in the Ma‘kala eventstore dont even deserve to be called peanuts, one pull is worth less than that of a 24h event, but at a much higher time cost.
And lastly, if you want the average player to engage with new content, Stop. Making. Such. Unrealistic. Milestone. Requirements.
The whole community told you that the milestone rewards for the Augment event were too high. You did not listen. You did it right again with the current arc.
What you people need to start understanding is that many people play this game for the community, and certainly not for the engaging content or the stable gameplay.
If the average lower-budget players quit, what do you think are the people going to do that spend more? Exactly, quit too, because without the community this is just a heap of very expensive pixels.
You‘d do yourself and all the players a favor in the long run if you‘d stop making milestone rewards that have the time requirements of a full-time job

You can also skip the 25 polygons. The meta awards a total of 2600 points and you only need 1950 points to finish it. Is it still a stupid and arbitrary number of polygons? Yes. Is the event designed by people that don't play STFC? Yes. But you can skip a few of the more stupid tasks.

You're not meant to beat it. It's labeled HEROIC which is their way of telling you to hit up the store, buy the forge upgrade packs to up the mining rate of the transogen.

Fyi.. for the defeat borg type solo armadas.. the regular borg solo armadas did not score. It's the new poly ( or whstever they are called) solo armadas only, it seems. Extremely misleading. I will give scoply points we didn't crash with this arc ( yet) and I get the need to turn a profit. I buy stuff here and there. Psy my monthly fee..lol. just be honest about it. I am at ops 41. I can only kill the lvl 40 transogen hostiles for 3* cannisters. I can't kill anything higher. Is there a conversation in the refinery for converting 3* to 4 in the transogen refinery? If not, then I can't do the event.

For the “defeat 20 borg type solo armadas” makala task, I’ve been spending my directives as I receive them. So I’ll get 14 directives in a couple days but it looks like defeating 20 won’t be possible.

I guess there’s a spend option to get 6 more directives for $150 in the weekly specials. Not going to happen here.

I suspect that task will be impossible for most players. Color me disgruntled.

The Makala event - just tested the 45 Elite Solo waves, I currently die on the third wave. So only got to run 20 of those in order to complete that aspect of the event. Not sure I will get enough ciphers to be able to complete that goal even if I claim new ciphers from S31 faction store.

Scoring seems to be working again, at least for the things I've tried. Was able to finish dailies, at least. And the cerritos event. And a few points in the crucible. Stuff that failed to score hours ago is still gone. There's been no catch-up.

Got to love the new events that are working really well, massive grind for yet another new currency, we are at what 7 this month so far?
Yet ANOTHER massive grind.
One of the milestones you have to kill the new armadas, which given you only have a chance to get directives, it a p2c event
Gold rush event that doesn't exist.
Incredibly slow spawning "hurak" hostiles, high lvl players who haven't bought the hazard prime are screwed as well due to the hazards, low ops players can't even get ANY hazard research.
Hostiles that drop loot are so far out of a lot of players leagues, low 60 ops have next to no chance of killing any hostiles that drop the containment currency.

If scopelys goal is to drive away as much of the player base as possible they are going the right way

The answer is nope, you ideally need to kill the bigger hostiles, but the hazards will ruin you, unless you've bought the prime, which even then wont stop all the damage, yet another well thought out arc from scopely

Neither is better tbh, if you go for the lower hostiles you can kill, you'll get more chests, but it's going to take INSANE amount to kill to even open the chests, whereas if you kill the bigger hostiles you'll be making so many trips it's not even worth it.

Arenas are more fun than this arc, and that's saying something considering 64 ops get matched vs 70 ops

On my server we have 3 player grades all grinding in one system with the Fatu Krey, that's also brutal

Half of g4, much of g5, and plenty of g6 all in Sivis; with some folks using multiple ships

Pull shouldn't be a chance given the work involved to kill the hostiles for the pull. That SMS step 3 is also somewhat heroic if you're a fresh [get your new ship] ops level. Events should be tied to shipyard level. I need to do 100 trips for the triple pull. That's just absolutely ridiculous.

the system has a max hostile limit and its been taken up by those suliban transport chasers which are stopped using the trick. on an average it has max 19 hostiles and if the solo entities are counted in that limit then the hurak dropships wont spawn at a normal rate

The problem is with how badly scopely have designed this, it's just not feasible for a lot of players.
I can kill the 58/60s easily, the 62s I die to fast to the hazards, because I am not buying the primes for hazard protection.
Lvl 60 gives 60k currency a kill,
Lvl 58 gives 40k currency a kill,

So I'd need to kill 1434 lvl 60s to open the 3 chests, 480 to open 2 chests or 160 for 1 chest...What a lovely grind, and that is on top of all the other grinds as well

For the Hurok invasion event today, I completed stage 1 of the hostile SMS. Then I did the invading entity solo Armadas. Then I later completed stage 2 of the SMS

Upon finishing stage 2 of the SMS, I saw that I had been granted progress on stage 3 (the invading entity solo Armadas). Even though I had completed those before stage 3 was unlocked.

My question is-

Stage 3 Vanguards cannot be beat below lvl 50. At least with WOK arc you could skip the ones that were impossible and do the others. Now we don't even have that choice. No, and that is on purpose.
I have a T10 Sanctus, all the G5 research done and the only Hurak I can beat without loosing half hull are 54s.
Augments and this Arc just have been specifically designed to create problems they can sell you solutions to.
The Augment grind is annoying? Buy a Reliant.
The Hurak hostiles hit too hard? Buy enough primes to boost your iso defense/mitigation.
It‘s sad, but it‘s as simple as that.
So the only real good option you and I got here is to sit back, relax, and just wait until you get enough of the stuff thrown after you to get going without investing the equivalent of a small car.

First milestone of stage 1 requires 10% of total points, 25% for second and 50% for third.
For stage 2 the equivalent numbers would be 40%, 50% and 66% but if you lowered it by the amount you need for the first stage you would have the same numbers as for stage 1.

You may want to just complete Stage 3 and 4 for all players. They're impossible to complete. Not only is it impossible to acquire this quantity of directives, the 'Armadas' are not spawning, and by the time you'll have a fix and if someone were still to manage, it would be far too late to begin on the last mining stage. I like things you can grind to succeed and get rewards, and I'm not opposed to pay to skip spending, or pay for fun stuff that isn't pay to win, or worse, pay to play.

Unfortunately, the armada (invading entity) part of it just doesn't seem doable by most. Some in our alliance are pulling goose eggs for directives. You should have enough directives to finish the SMS's that are for a goal to progress. You can have a heroic goal that gives you more for sure, but week 1, people are already frustrated they won't finish the 3rd SMS, so they won't get the fourth SMS, and so its denigrated into pay2play which is the worst possible option instead of a grindfest.

Even harsher is even if you buy directives, because of the stats of the armadas, you are likely punching down, so getting less bang for your buck

So yah, I want this to succeed, I think its a great idea, and having goals and events stretch out and build on each other is a fun narrative story idea. When its dying a slow death out of the gate when even light spenders are thinking, 3 weeks of this for 6 months is 18x of this and needed between 9-12 sets of directives at 99 each, when they could be buying fun things, or just buying the item outright and other toys too just doesn't seem like its the best execution of a great idea.

TL:DR Add more directives so everyone can finish indivdual SMSs to finish the event and feel like they fully engaged with the content.

As always, they're hosting an event that requires you to pay for. I was only able to fill three days to complete it, enough to get one army after 32 hours of killing hostiles.

They're waiting for a server to finish. People have stopped killing hostiles since it's impossible to finish all 4. Why bother? They promote cooperation on the server, and then they just break it.

So if you have to be there for 32 hours to get into an army, you can't do an event. It's better to leave it. Four have already left the server for arc one of our alliance.

Still think the IMS stage 3 (and stage 4) amounts are off-the-charts ridiculous/unrealistic and need fixing for the scoring just like the hostile one did (though that one was too little too late). Especially with only 2d and change left on the timer...no server can get to Stage 4 and get far enough to matter since Stage 4 is based on ... players claiming a daily pull to get refined transogen. If all 4 stages were scoring from the start, Stage 4 might have been reasonable but the way it was designed...Stage 2-4 were all bad.

Launching the crucible event simultaneously with the week and first run of the Kurak invasion was just plain stupid. It's a great idea if you want to kill player motivation to participate.
