Is there something missing from the WD battle pass reward tracker? Note the "+1" by the last milestone, which indicates 1 additional reward beyond the ones displayed on the track. Normally, clicking on the milestone would open a window (as in this screen cap) that shows all the rewards, but here it isn't showing anything else. This is happening with several milestones.

I suspect the missing rewards are S31 Wave Defense ciphers, as the current BP only contains 2300, which is well below the usual total.

well there are +1 on multiple milestones, but I can't remember if there ever were more than 2 rewards there... less S31 ciphers is probably due to some of them being replaced by the new solo ones

Alliance Tournament thumb screws have been tightened beyond belief. I don't even bother anymore. Do 10 fkr armadas, spend large sums of commander points, kill 3 levels above on ludicrous enemies or the dreaded "acquire"

3 in a row and more outside of these too where the uncommon pull was the 5 rather than the normal one (let alone the lucky pull). Feels like they fiddled with the rates on the NX01 as well because we used it too much for free 10k tasks by saving up.

what you're referring to is the currency for what's commonly called "end of arc store". those used to be every 3-4 months; lately it's been more like 2-3. those months are a tradeoff because the event store currency is replacing RSS & mats found in events normally; in fact when they first did a one month gap I recall complaints that that way, people were more starved on mats & it was too frequent.

The problem is, as many have reported, it is extremely hard for Ops 45 to complete all three waves. Even with 3 levels of the shred, various crews, etc.

What happens to me is that in the fourth wave, either all my ships are destroyed or the base is destroyed by itself, but I never manage to finish the fourth wave.

When all of your ships are destroyed, the base is automatically destroyed too. Instead of throwing away a ship to die on the next hostile, just leave it floating in space. The base can take 2 shots and still survive so that floating ship might help some make it to the next round.

Since then there has been the 5 days of tasks and a 1 day break equaling 6 days so it should be 1 day 6 hours not 2 and 6 like the image. Best way to max g5 ships is to scrap a maxed g4 epic. 1 scrap gives enough parts to max g5 rare and g5 epic. Only thing holding you back is g5 mats, but ships parts you would have plenty.

that's not really a ship being good at dealing damage, but purely camping. You basically make it your only option and nothing wrong with that if your goal is to win SLBs. But objectively every generation uncommon ships are not worth the investment, especially G5, since you can get to G5 rares quite quickly and they outperform the uncommons even quicker

if you're talking about the acquire 1500 uncommon commander skill points, you need to upgrade the command center or buy a pack, if you mean the spend uncommon commander skill points, you need to convert them to the individual skills in the refinery

The only place I've seen Uncommon Commander Skill Point spelled out completely is in the Tournament Task and when you hit the + button in the refinery to adjust the spend amount.

So we had hype we had videos for this one off run of AT and it's EXACTLY the same as always.... Not seen a single different task in over 1hr of our alliance running tasks and refreshing tasks. Stratagema tokens on the ptp heroic events are worthless as well. Good job well done

The tokens are essential here, actually. They're both a tie-breaker and a way to make up points for alliances whose players can't all get high-value tasks. I build a few smaller ships and got a milestone out of it, which allowed us to push ahead and break a tie.

Tasks are the same. Rewards are different, and the events are the big change that adds strategy to the design.

Would have made more sense to make less of a big deal about this “grandmaster” tournament . Which requires no more strategy than normal tournaments and doesn’t even seem to offer any new tasks. The community hates much ado about nothing more than they do continuing with the status quo.

So, Alliance Tournaments is a mixed thing.
The pro is that the rewards are nice.
The con is that the gameplay consists of looking for a nice task for a couple of hours, then complete said task in about 30 minutes, and then start looking again.

I think the people getting all bent out of shape are the types that feel like they have to complete every event and place in every leaderboard. This one to me is a tough choice. Do I blow my mats (and the latinum for sigma speedups) now for the officer shards and the extra credits to spend in the AT store, or do I wait and drop the mats and lat on whatever they release to start next month? Decisions decisions... I'll probably wait, because apex shred just released, and these crews rely on apex barrier. My regular credits for maxing 30K tasks will be plenty to get the things I want, and we'll probably have another alliance tournament the following week at this rate.

They're connected because the spend events get you additional tournament points, which in turn will place you higher in the ALB.

Any one else wondering about the alliance tournament task reroll “results?” The “randomizer” is set to selecting the same 4 tasks, just in a different order. How many times do I need to see acquire 6k uncommon Borg credits or 17k multi phasic credits??

I could be wrong here, but i 'think' what happens is that every alliance gets a pack of the exact same tasks per day, (to keep it fair) and then the randomizer selects 20 at random to choose from.

If you complete them they are gone until the daily next refresh, and the ones that are rerolled go back into the pack and can pop up again. So eventuallly you keep re rerolling the same tasks.

Imagine getting 50 decks of cards, and shuffling them all together into a 'pool'. Then drawing 20 cards at random.. thats the ones you chose from... Then accepting a task is the same as taking one of the 20 cards and keeping it, any that are rerolled are shuffled back in. I think that explains it better

it all resets every day, and we start over. of course duplicates are managed etc, but this is basically what happens, i am pretty sure but can't say 100% as i didn't do the code. A random RNG from an infinite pool of tasks doesn't sound very balanced, and wouldn't explain the repeats that happen more and more frequently as we get through the 24 hour period

I.m just saying there are a limited number of the same task per alliance per day.

Let's just say as an example that every alliance has a pool of 500 tasks thrown into a hat, and in there are 10 of each task. Yes i know this isn't realistic, but its just an example.

We mix them all and draw out 20, any duplicates during this process are put back into the hat and we redraw another until we have 20 random tasks to chose from.

Someone claims a 'Romulan' 5k task, which leaves 9 'Romulan 5k' tasks left in the hat, or pool

As soon as all 10 Romulan 5k tasks are claimed, that's it for them and you won't see that task again until after the next refresh.

When you 'reroll' a task however, it just goes back into the hat and can pop up again.

Typically when we get closer to the daily refresh, most of the good tasks have been claimed, and we will keep re rolling tasks like.. Multiphasic Credits 17k 😄

I am a programmer, this is usually how this is done using an Array. Having a weighting system like its been suggested above, or trying to randomise this pull would be both unbalanced and flawed. Since computers cannot really create true random numbers by itself.

Very high when they weight tasks. Some can be common, eg. rolls 1-25, and some can be rare, eg. rolls 26-30.

This way you don't have to save an array for every alliance in the game. You generate tasks on the fly.

I'm sure it feels that way, but the tasks aren't single use. You're on the right track though...

It's actually three (I think) decks you're playing with. A low, medium, and high deck. Each one has about 150-200 cards in it, and every task has at least one or two duplicates in their respective deck. You then get three cards from the high deck, seven(ish) from the medium and ten(ish) from the low.
Rerolling a task puts that task back in the deck, shuffles and redraws. Simple enough.
Claiming a task removes it (but not its duplicates) from the deck but as soon as a player completes it, it returns to the deck. The reason it feels like they're limited is that players will claim a task for future use, instead of finishing it immediately, which reduces the chance of it coming back until (and if) they get around to it.

Then, of course, certain cards (spend heavy tasks) will have more duplicates in each deck than others (ie. The easy f2p 10k ones).

Which is exactly what I said (regarding a player having making it undrawable), but my numbers may have been underestimated (maybe it's a minimum of five in a deck of 500) but five people having the epic borg task doesn't prove it being infinitely drawable, only that it can be pulled at least five times at once.

Get an alliance of 100 to all be holding a single task simultaneously, and I'll accept it as proof.

For you, that's probably true. But for someone else, they may have a very good reason to believe otherwise (possibly because they know for a fact how its coded, instead of hypothesising based on their experience). Maybe they have some of the facts, but not all of them, but enough to know it's not just blind RNG rolls...
So, while I get that it looks like it could well just be crazy RNG, I wouldn't tell someone they can't know otherwise unless I knew that it was. But that's just me.
