Why do we need to waste time killing Cardiassians?? It's a complete waste of time plus on our server there is an alliance that just takes over the only 50 zone to get it done quicker and their high levels camp in there and kill everyone else. On that topic, why only have one high level zone?? Ridiculous.

because the armadas give loot required to upgrade the alliance starbase which it is a fairly safe bet that you don't have yours maxed. There was only 1 high level zone because when the content was released there wasn't as many people stomping the 50s. power creep, gotta love it 😄

It would be nice to have more a couple more 50 cardy zones though. It's a bit like the stella exchange armada where there wasn't enough systems... hopefully they add more to this too.

Stfc.space is also accurate. The top end of level 11 is 182K. The beginning of level 15 is 266K. That's only an 84K difference, and if you got 2nd or 3rd you got 89-90k points

So looking at correlation regarding arena improvements, strange on all days heavy with pve
.. Performance was more sub optimal then on Friday 17th day with very little pve content... Just some quick sms and no real pve content... It flatten.s.

Yet you blame impulse speed as the culprit not heavy load on tick system.

Tick system is the problem in today's computing age multiple server kernels can be used for simultaneous processing rather than the queued tick system relying on 1 kernel.

Modern processors are capable of processing multiple actions at once.

But the action server runs on a queued 5s per action timer per system. More actions done in system longer the queue to process actions.

Ie. We have always noticed armadas take priority but never processed at same time even if timers align.

Formation armadas prove this by lead going first then 5s later leg 2 and 5s after leg 2 leg 3 will fire.

Realistically all 3 should process at same time.

It's just matter of allocating more processor kernels to the tick system.
Each kernel will process tick queue seperately.

Ideally you'd allocate based on type of actions and potential actions.

At minimum off 1 processor you'd expect 256 actions individually occurring at same time

Way it works now is how a turn based rpg works with each action allocated a priority and each action not taking place b4 preceding action has completed.

So changing impulse speed will do nothing.
Since each action is still going to be queued and given a priority.

Ie. Armada goes off every other action is paused for 5s. Including other armadas.

So really until you can seperated actions by kernel.
Ie. Having multiple queues which can all fire at exactly the same time.

The problem will continue to exist.

As queues of actions pile up lag increases as every subsequent action is delayed.

If every action in game is being queued into a tick system. You are just creating lag

Best example of simultenous actions are vpice/video calling.
Voice is seperated from video. Both are processed seperately.
Yet what stfc does is queues video after voice by 5s...

As most coders know, you can be rendering, testing and playing solitaire all at the same time... Why on earth would you put them into a tick system

You've also denoted highest load timings, guess when.... Event resets and dailies resets.
Dailies having 2 resets.
And events 1, plus when fixes are needed.

Notice how right between apac /eu, and eu/USA transitions you have low latency, low lag because you have double processing power occurring

most if not all MMOs have something that you could call ticks, thought it's normally called server frame rate

Why is it for example formation armadas are all timed to fire at exactly same time, as lead 1st started yet 2nd fires 5s after first and 3rd fires off 10s after 1st but 5s after 2nd.

Even though timers are exact.

Shws 1 kernel allocated to process all actions.

And if 2 armadas obviously different system ie. Borg solos, you will always find 1 pauses till first in queue completes and during that time of action every hostile attk is also paused..
Armadas have higher priority.

Whereas if 1 kernel was allocated to each action every action would have its own queue.

So really just comes down to how many actions you allow to occur at the exact same time. And amount of kernels and processors allocated.

Now more ships in a system more actions that are occuring= longer queue is getting.
We've had this shown from way back in early tc...
You just can't really have a decent fight because as queues get longer.. Etc...

If its client side... Then there appears to be no cap or standard frame rate..

So higher end pc is capable of doing more actions than a mobile device and servers just prioritising instead of capping actions possible.

nx, Pike Moreau Nesmeth vs a 62 battleship. Pike Henderson Nesmeth got me 10T consistently and is probably what you'd need to use on a g4 server; I used moreau to survive the r4 autocrit in hopes of the go-home gun doing far more, but after adding mitigation to the equation and RNG i think it's barely worth trying for.

i can see the argument for using a non-NX vs an interceptor and throwing the apex at their "non-nx go home" weapon

but also that requires you to have a warp 1k non-nx ship which... not on a g4 server

This is what, the 4th tournament run? I think first time it closed when it ended and had to be reopened for several days. Second time I believe it was open 2 days. Last one they had to extend due to issues. I say it's far from having a "normal" time established... There's a reason so many ask each time how long it will be opened for. You may have hit 2,000 hostiles since the limit reset. If so, you won't be able to get loot/xp/rep from hostiles until that limit resets later today at 5am UTC, 1 hour after daily reset. Event scoring is unaffected.

Clearly your as uninformed as much as Scopely is fully capable of fixing the game. Never before has an arc store been revived for currency nor has an extra 4-7 days been added for the spending of currency as you claim.

Very sad that you think a tough time during the loss of a family member, injury resulting in hospitalization etc is something that you think deserving to them if it prevented them from spending event currency. I myself have not lost that much during such times but server wide I think more have than are known. Pretty sad ScopelyFail to think they deserved it.

Screen freezes, stuck ships in system, impossible to see where your opponents ships actually are, then the usual lag slow, buffering ship movement and combat, basically unplayable on EU servers. Please feedback this is a step backwards not an improvement. Hardly anyone is online and it still can’t cope. Something is terribly wrong…

I disagree. With the tournament store, it has been inconsistent. Yes, the mods try to guesstimate what the intended duration is, but there is no official announcement, no timer. Even having a CM post in announcements that yes, tournament stores will run for 48 hours after the tournament ends in official channels will be helpful (though really a timer would be helpful, but an announcement reminder post that goes to subscribed servers would be even more helpful).

Yes, there are players who would STILL miss it (much like there are still many players who don't know that incursions are coming up), but at least an attempt at keeping the playerbase informed was done.

That’s correct for all exo’s. So you could use 1 25% build speed exo and 1 130% build speed exo (in separate slots) but you can’t use 2 of the exact same exo at the same time. They just overwrite each other.

I am sure there was some number of G6 players needed to qualify for split bracket, no idea if/how often they check servers that did not qualify back then

Most newer events tend to have them split when there are enough G6 players. Several older SLBs still have them all grouped together, and may never be split up.

Luckily, those older events tend not to be particularly well paying, so not a big deal.

If you're still seeing spend events for newly released officers unsplit with that many G6, it's a mistake that you may want to open a ticket over to speed up the process.

Seriously, the matchmaking is killing the Arena concept. Only those that pay to win are winning so they keep playing it. Everyone else is slowly giving up on it. Terrible execution of a good idea. Par for the course considering Scopely is terrible at their jobs.

Other two legs. You need 1 new ship in each. Then reg ships in the others

So you dont have to have new ship

But your alliance, you need at least 2 players tonhaveit

Hey all info on new formadas. You need a min of 2 of the new ships. One tuned to charged on the charged node, one tuned to static on static node... the remaining 10 ships can be anything.

Without the two ships, the nodes will behave like a krenim without an exocomp on

and.. in case you were wondering. The exocomps dont work

So what am I missing? It seems like the ship's purpose is to defeat the new formation armadas, but the chests for those armadas just provide stuff that's sourced elsewhere. Maybe that's why all the arc rewards are locked behind having it. And yes, I know you MIGHT be able to defeat the formadas without one...but Scopely has been getting more and more stingy with new starts, so you don't have any leeway to see what can and can't be done.

Exos do not work against krenim formadas so it wouldn't help.
The rela alone might not be strong enough to beat the leg, nor was it intended to carry the team. The rela is there for the ship ability, the rest of the team should be stacked enough to beat the leg.

You use anti-charged if you're in a charged formada leg/IE.
You use anti-static if you're in a static formada leg/IE.
