I guess this is scopleys idea of a joke. First they are putting in an event you cannot complete unless enough people in your alliance spent 100 bucks for the new ship. Then they promise score adjustment packs but they leave you 10 pts shy of completing the total event. I have completed everything esle but these 2 polymada events. This is just getting ridiculous

The sourcing really is that either FC’s are pay walled so you have no FC’s to use them on, or that you’ve used them all on every FC

The only way to do the acquire task is by leveling up the command center building. It gives enough per level to finish if 50+, otherwise you may need multiple levels. The Titan A refinery also gives a few, but they’re too little to complete the task.

There's actually a bunch of them that are doable, if you plan ahead and hoard some stuff like directives and time some refinery/faction pulls. But the respin thing doesn't work (at least any time I tried it in the last couple of these), so I keep getting the same like 3 or so tasks over and over and over and over again...

Now from a programmers POV, it's possible that it is working, mind you, if there's a small pool of tasks and they're getting removed as someone picks them. But considering the number of tasks and points my team has so far, that's unlikely. Or the pool of 4000+ tasks is just REALLY shallow. If this was the case, a place to view what's left in the pool would certainly be nice.

On my server, 3 out of 4 alliances are split (mine included) - If it is mainly on EU, my guess is that it is because it launches close to prime time and most alliances will have a lot of players waiting to jump in and score as soon as AT opens. There was also some serious lag on scoring, which in some cases let players do 4-5 tasks instead of 3. Maybe due to that, more active alliances who had 2+ players score at almost same time due to lag it was then considered at exactly same time and as at that time the alliance was not in any bracket, it was thrown to one by player 1 scoring and to other by player 2 scoring.

It didn't "require" spending just some planning, but it did get completely bugged up and made a lot of folks mad. Some had it completed for them with gift chests while others are still short even after gift chest even though the same tasks were completed.

The last box was NEVER labelled as HEROIC and there was no communication to say that it was a Heroic meta at launch.

Players have been split into different brackets. If you ask around, others in your alliance will tell you the remaining points, then tell you they’re in a league with a different number of alliances than you. No fix, but that’s what appears to have happened

Yes I think they were careful not to allow people to unlock the countdown cannon for free, so that had a lower limit than the rest. I suspect it was because some players would have spent money early to get the remaining shards and would have complained if it then became FTP.

The problem is that it's yet another example in the last couple of days that has left players who are also professional devs scratching their heads, baffled as to how things got this badly messed up in the first place. The spaghetti code isn't an excuse, because if it's that complicated, don't touch it, and new features like AT shouldn't have that problem.

I mean, everyone makes mistakes - the other day I ran a sql update statement and left out the where clause, so it tried to update tens of thousands of records instead of about 5. Thankfully I was able to back that one out. But generally mistakes like that should be rare, not daily occurrences.

At this stage the only realistic thing is to cancel it and give out compensation. I don't think Scopely knows which alliances should be where and what the realistic points actually are. You can't change the teams in a league after it's started, that's just not acceptable.

That is still functionally improbable. The only people with 60,000 task points in my alliance are the whales. People wouldn't have enough refresh currency to get all the feasible 10k tasks that normal players can finish. Participation rate wouldn't be 100% either

There needs to be more of a mix of tasks suited to all levels.

• More building rss spend tasks like in the first tournament run I.e. command centre, armoury, district 56, mess hall etc.
• all of the solo armada types I.e. shipyard & borg 3.0 should have tasks.
• spend dominion credits task.
• tier up ship tasks.
• could have alliance starbase assault tasks (we all have ridiculous amounts of the tactical mandates lying around)
• could use outdated content like kill doomsday worms, beat Swarm armadas or burial ship armadas.
• do beat Q trials tasks.
• complete missions, researches, gain favours, tier up rep etc.

Use it as a way to tie in all areas of the game.

Please put an SMS or AMS event for completed tasks in event section to run alongside it with a link to where to pick up the tasks to make it more obvious where tasks are (some alliances have many languages spoken so communication can be tough. 13 European languages spoken in my alliance) and incentivise everyone to get involved more with store credits for milestones completed even just a small amount so everyone feels they are benefiting from their tasks.

Make it easier to access, less frustrating and please make it work 🙏

I know we have an alliance in our bracket with a 27mil score. based on their total memebers (assuming 90k each thus far) their highest possible score is under 9 mil.... and over half their members currently have 0 points. As long as it's corrected and awards are correct at the end, we're good. IF they continue to say "it's all good, our reflected numbers are right" and award on that basis THEN we start telling "Buurn her!"
