Agreed. It appears they focused on increasing certain currencies, but removed things that make those currencies usable. Personally, I've got a bunch of mats lying around, by without lat and speed ups, I can't spend them.

the cube required buying the $20 bp that month. they used to.... and i know this sounds crazy....they used to let you unlock a ship by the end of the free BP track. you missed out on any events normally in the first 2-ish wks that were for that ship, to entice the spenders to unlock early. if you want to hear something really crazy, you used to be able to unlock rare officers during that BP for free, and normally unlock an epic between the 2 SLBs with a little planning. crazy, huh?

Cube was never free during the arc. In the free pass you only got 25/100 bps for free, you had to source 75 more bps from the next event store. And due to the 75 limit if you missed the arc giving 25 for free you never could build the cube until they changed the limit from 75 to 100 many months later

scopely has always done the same thing. We give you a 25% increase in prizes, but we also give you a 1000% increase in what you need to complete the event.

@cosmic steeple went from ops 56 to 58, upgraded almost all of the buildings to 58, ready to hit the button for 59, and did most of the buildings to 58 as well, still didnt even complete the first milestone in the March to progress. Not sure what average player power increase they looked at but i dont believe it.

while true that isn't sustainable since these Artifact SMS Daily Events are every 2 days right? you get 15 uc formmada directives every day from dailies...so 30 directives every 2 days. 7 runs is 700 directives...

It is not a good event. Like most of the events that count for Ahead of the Curve they're designed to get people to waste their mats for bad rewards to get a chance at a bad officer if they do enough events. Having to "only do 70%" of the events is also just a laughable statement almost all of the daily events require spending in order to sustain.

but to make it perfectly easy to understand, this is weeklys plus the easy 24h daily over the planned timespan of 28 days. 300 per day from weekly + 100 per day from the hostile/mining one.

only issue so far is the xindi event, thats only doable if you can actually kill 40+ xindi which results in only 10k points in 28 days without doing ANY daily 12h event

As a ftp ops 53 with a decently tiered nx01 it's easy, for a short time rare credits is a issue then it's the epic and uc that's the biggest issue and you have a abundance of rare that you can full it easily.

if you can kill those in round 1 you prevent the 30% chance to kill cannon from fireing because it is dead before it can use it.

I don’t disagree that it’s unrealistic, but it’s really only docks+guns+research. Ops has almost zero to do with beyond opening up docks & guns to build. Every other building provides hardly any power

Unlocking new research nodes will be far more impactful than pushing Ops (unless that opens up new nodes…)

For the milestones they've given, you will have to go up in ops at least once to even have a remote chance in reaching the final milestone, it is insanely high

Could confirm the requirements for the kill-Borg-Aurians are now lower but noticed that it would take 100 hostiles and 50 hulls or 150 hostiles and probably managable amount of hulls.

Thinking about it again, hm, not happening. Already ditched faction events a long time ago for the 100 hostiles required for each. Therefor the new requirement: Completed with at most 40 NPCs with 4 hulls and no further attempts after killing one hostile to find out if possible with this constraint.

It’s labeled heroic, they aren’t going to gift anything. We are lucky they gifted directives at all , if we are looking at scopely historically. There have been many new ship loops where the first month some events required the ship. While I agree their direction is not a good one, this event type is somewhat normal.

Also, the support bot has been changed so it’s almost impossible to log issues.

I had to use the ‘stuck ship’ option just to get to a point where I could advise what the issue actually was.

More likely than not they're testing what they can get away with without losing money. Offering new content constantly makes a significant portion of the playerbase spend regardless of if it's good content or not.
Customer satisfaction does not interest them, unless it's the satisfaction of players that spend 2k+ per month
So we can complain all we want, this feedback either never reaches their ears or they dismiss it since it's not what they want to hear

i say "losing money" loosely, since it's just pixels and some FTE + infrastructure they need to pay. Pretty cheap since their servers run on mashed potatoes, most of the devs can't code an efficient algorithm and they spend close to no time on optimizing how well the game runs

Labeling it as heroic, and players accepting that is a huge part of the point. NEVER has scopely had and event store event like this where the only way to complete it is to spend. There is a major differencw between spending to place on a leaderboars or sms where the reward is not directly tied to the event store and spending on a specific item to earn the maximum tokens. This is just another attempt by scopely to drive revenue. This is directly at the expense of players that are ftp or mostly so. The majority of players cannot afford most of what is on this game, not at the price points scopely sets. The average player relies on these event stores to try to make up that difference.

All scopely needs to do is change their price point for packs and add smaller packs to make more money. People will $10 themselves to death for things they enjoy. People who wont spend $100 on 1 specific thing will spend $120 on things that are spread out. Dollar stores are the perfect example. They are a multi billion dollar industry in themselves

So today the arena starts but won't let us in. So we all restart to try to get in. When we do, apparently Scopely thinks it's a good match to have us fight a level 58 with a Sanctus and two level 56s to fight a 57 with a middle tier Corvus, 55 lower tier Corvus and 54 lower tier Vor'Cha with our strongest vessel being more than 150,000 weaker than their Sanctus. I don't know what the other two players' vessels were because we basically got picked off as we arrived by the Sanctus, never having gotten past the entrance to reach a single vessel or Armada target. This is just so fun. 😂😂😂

They really need to fix the arena event. Mondays and the time period for it is horrible. Weekends make the best sense to have it.
Also, the match making still sucks. Also, having two progressions for a faction store sucks, one is the actual faction and the other is you have to progress in the rankings. It’s hard to progress in the rankings when you just get obliterated by higher level spenders.

Matchmaking is really bad for most of us as the level spread is to wide. And it will still put in a high level against us low levels. At Level 40-53 we can't get anybody to join. If you are keeping up with Q trials, this means you can score all of 375 points on this because you only get enough for 3 runs in a day. Some Defense platform levels add 10M in player power, but only 20k to gain power scoring events (which is then multiplied by the scoring metric). I believe the monthly event goes by the player power. As those numbers are impossible any other way

Really guys we changed 6hr and 12hr events from farm able currency.

It now requires time gated currency whose acquisition is a week to 8 weeks long.
So you can realistically do a 12hr event once a month if you are lucky.

Then you set a monthly event 25 days to acquire more power gained from research and buildings than is currently in game from ops 0 to ops 70.

Yrs your team sees power fluctuations daily. Yet none of that power is a scoring metric.

Ie. Take crew of a ship, bam that ship just lost 30m power.
Add a component, depending on tier that could be anywhere from 100k to 400m power gained.

Typical lvl 2 research 15 pts per point, incremental gain from research 6,000 power.
So 90,000pts in sms.

But research gives 20% hull health to all ships including defence platforms.

So 90k towards a 1.3bn event

Not a clue obviously team that thought these up has never played stfc..
Maybe next time get the team from monopoly go to design stfc events... Got same chance at realistic events

With the Admiral's Event Ticket being a 6000 cap, and the redemption being 6000, it is inevitable that there will be some spill over if someone can't get a full redemption in a month. Say they get 1500 one month, then say only 500 the next month, they would then go over in month 3 if they got the full amount because they would exceed the limit before being able to redeem. Maybe there should be a bit of a overflow, say a 8000 limit, not enough for a second pull, but enough that a player wouldn't lose out?

do the required research for xindi...and a good basic grind crew is pike tlaan-cath, and no crit officers below deck until you get crit floor research done...if u need more hit power, swap cath or tlaan for edata...depends on officer level

The leslie crew above is only meant to kill one, and explode afterwards. The ship should not survive for a 2nd fight. If it does, then you're not aiming high enough. When you aim high enough, you can fill your cargo in one fight. Aim too high, and you die with nothing.

For the event, if your ship isn't ready to use the pike harrison crew, then you can try something like Pike Moreau Tucker, PMC, or PMT and only kill interceptors.

Yes, there is a good rule of thumb. It's on the infographic. Read the chart, check your ship, pick your system.

Trial and error works well also. Check your logs, aim to fill your cargo. If it's not filling up or close to, try moving up a system.

G6 ship parts are nice and all but i'm not going G6 for a long time anyway but even if I was planning it, 2.5B to finish it but no buildings left to spend on so would have to all be from research which has the lowest scoring mechanic. Basically one to ignore, could easily be in its own bucket or tab to not clutter up my list of events

Well I have done the first 3 milestones but it's different for lower levels (Ops 26). For me, leveling up Ops gets all 4 milestones in one go. Otherwise building Academy, Shipyard or R&D gets 1 milestone each.

Unfortunately, according to Rev, they used the average player power increases to set the milestones.

I'd try clearing localization and rebooting again. Check for the event both in the bucket and outside.

So as a OPs 25 and T4 Vi'dar only 2 tokens, trying to fill cargo each token, I'll need 2880 lvl 25 probes, 2743 lvl 30 hostiles, or some combo thereof. Or waste the tokens and go for the highest possible probe I could kill without knowing that limit. Fun times

i have talios; highest level i can go is 38; i would need over 200 kills at that level but i can only last 12 per token. faceplam scopleyed again
