1. If you have a ship in token space, does it get pulled out for arena. If it does, does it go back?
2. Can you have less than 5 squad members?
3. Heard a rumor that there is a 7 lvl spread between your highest and lowest players in a squad.

all ships are called to dock, and you lose any cargo, needs to be 5. and it's 7 up 7 down from host to start a team

10 points for losing. 120 event points you need to do 12. And that's more like 160 minutes. Almost 3 hours to finish it and they give you 8 hours. Also in working hours.

7 up 7 down is for the host, not the matchup, that's based on average ops and rank

as higher leveled teams pull ahead in rank, the matches will even out

Nope, only if your open max ammount of chests per day to get higher rep. You need to be collaborator and that needs 900 rep points total.

What about matching players based on the OPs and the ships they can have so say you have Ops players 53-56 and they even out say 2 Ops 53 and 3 Ops 56 but if you have say 2 53 and 3 55 they cant win vs 2 53 and 1-3 56 that have the Rare ship???? And same for lower or higher Ops

I love the concept but running this during work hours in the EU makes this event impossible the finish.. Even with 85 people in the alliance and 21 in my ops range i haven't been able to find a team since the start of this event. Next time run this in the evening or weekend when people have time to play 😡

We've got a player who's bought the new ship but can't earn the materials for the refinery because our alliance doesn't have enough Ops40+ players. Is it possible to not hold those arenas during working time hours ? EU servers time started at 12h00 and it stops at 20h00. During this period, i have lunch at 12h15. Get back to work after.
It is very hard to complete all during those alleged time.
I mean if you want people to spend some money let them work.

I have done three matches so far and what a blast. I have had a lot of fun and so have my alliance mates. Sure there was a match up where we were out gunned....still went hard and didn't loose by much. There is a lot to do in these, stragity wise. Day one Salute to Scopley for this. I like it.

If I have this right, I believe it’s Squad leader +/- 7 for those joining the squad, then the matched squads’ leaders can be +/- 7 from each other. So a potential total spread in the match of 19 ops levels between players (ex. Squad 1 leader is 50, could have players low as 43; Squad 2 leader is 57, could have players as high as 64). There currently doesn’t seem to be any balancing at play from what I’ve seen, just random pairings of squad leaders within 7 levels of each other.

Also, any matching (including regular PvP spreads) should be power based. Any ops +/- basis treats ops power progression like it’s linear, when it’s always been exponential.

An appeal to team Scopely. Having the Arena event on a Monday on the European servers is not good. I would suggest the majority of players will be at work and therefore unable to participate for nearly all of the event. Things like Arena and Incursions really should occur on weekends to get maximum participation.

The devs forgot about Canada altogether. Quite frankly, they threw common sense out the door making it an 8 hour event on a Monday where players had a 5 to 3 hour window (not counting commutes) to play after work, when sometimes you’re out of luck because either there’s not 5 people or all the people in your level bracket are in teams playing.

Arena needs to be dynamic queue. As in you can go in with 1-5 players and it will team you up with others to fill the spots to make 5...That is how every other game does arena style/matchmaking... I know its a much more complicated code to do that. Let us hope they can do that in the future or the arena will be forgotten by most.

I ask again if you can please 🙏 use full auto-adjust dates and times because according to your announcement my fall event was supported to start at 3am AEST today 16 October 2024.
It's nowhere to be seen and I'm guessing that your announcement has the wrong dates in it for APAC (as normal but now we are even more confused as the time has adjusted) because some of us are 11hrs ahead of UTC time (just one example) so the date needed to auto-adjust to 17 October 2024.
When I do announcements using the codes from https://sesh.fyi/timestamp/ I always include the date as some of our players are EU/US based and without using the full date/time one the info would be all over the place... correct for some, wrong for others. They are all there, listed, so it's just chose the best, most appropriate one, isn't it?
Tired of constantly trying to interpret what your announcements are actually referring to so I can keep my alliance updated and stop them sending tickets or co plaining here when events are "missing" that don't actually start til the next day.

The model here though is still pretty punishing toward players though. The Bajoran store has a lot of special currency items that take a while to earn and make you choose, but that special currency only kicks in at the higher tiers because you spend reasonably obtainable credits for the first tiers of many items. Here, every single thing has that same cost from officer shards to faction rep to the unlocks. That Monday event pull better be a whole lot of those to be able to get anything here without the new "cash only" model this pushes you toward.

Each event is worth 100 points, there are 20 events needed to complete the meta. There are 23 events you can do ops 10-39 and 23 events you can do 40+ So you can afford to miss 3 of them and still complete the meta.

When event says to kill using X ship. It's backwards for auto grinders. IE. Kill with an explorer means the hostile needs to be an explorer cause that's what started the attack.

Here was last weekend at ops 25.

So glad they are adding more milestone that are impossible to hit. I scored 73k points, that is 1 milestone but won the SLB. That is just not right, the SMS milestone are just way to high for G3. From my G4 alliance mates tell me its the same for them. They can barely make a dent in the SMS but win SLBs.

G5 can spend G4 and G5 and the SMS are generally pretty easy in comparison. G6 sneeze and it completes.

On one hand, the masses of G6 and G5 rely the SMS to get unlocks and only the top spenders earn extra shards from the SLB. It just feels weird/wrong that the SMS at lower ops, guaranteed reward for our materials spend isn't realistic and its down to the SLB and 'stealing' those shards from others.

My ops 25 account is on a older server and I know if it was a newer server there is no way I'd have gotten 1st, probably be luck to have gotten 10th with no guaranteeds shards because the SMS is so high.

At ops 60 I will welcome the chance to earn 100 instead of 50 if I choose and would love to see that continue. I'd even like to see it go further and the material spend be a Kobayashi Maru SMS so you could, theoretically max an officer if you could spend enough. The SMS is just so high at lower ops do they really expect players to go up 6+ ops and max a new ship for 1 SMS.

It's 'HEROIC' event, it's supposed to be difficult, and it is difficult for every player at any ops level. It was created to make people spend money with packs.

There isn't enough places to spend materials in the 20s. the only option is to blast ops and doing so it detrimental to how the game works.

It's only impossible for the F2P players, they can't do well every week, ence why people plan and go all in at one or maybe two each ark.

This is with nearly no efficiencies and you would never only spend on buildings. but still to finish the current SMS on only buildings, which its scaled on the Ultra Station pack in the store...ops 25 to 37. Now if we say okay I want to spread that more evenly which is what you should do. Just guessing, I'd go from 25 to 28, Build a Saladin, max said Saladin and still need to do 200k points worth of research to complete the SMS.

Materials flow like water compared to 4 years ago when I did ops 25. so material income isn't that much of an issue anymore but other things haven't scaled at these low levels, like faction credits for instance.

The positive is that I spent 15% of the SMS but won the SLB for the unlock, This is on a older server though. so I get to pocket and sit on that 85% I didn't need to spend and save it for next time. The downside is I need to spend more but there just isn't enough places to spend it.

Well as I bought the Slot I don't see it in the Event Shop. I feel that now that ppl can have what I paid for for free I should be able to get an extra slot for free as well.... But it seems that won't happen so just BL for me...... What about the 8th Dock for free in an Event like the Commander Slot? The FC slot wasn't free. It required perfection for highly engaged f2p to earn in the one event store when it first came out. This one seems easier to achieve, but still a large amount of event currency. A f2p who went in on that first offering gave up a couple tiers worth of mData (the best officer option at the time). One that goes for the slot this time, is probably giving up the same of Toli/Dane.

That said, they are aware of players in your position, and the "devaluing" of your past purchases is a strong reason why some things are so resistant to entering the f2p realm. Building and research queues, extremely low value for many players, regularly get denied. And players who bought the docks when they first came out, probably already got a year or two of value so far. Still, I think those will eventually come to f2p like most everything else in this game.

I didn't buy it all that long ago maybe 3-4 months but anyway. If another Dock was offered the same way I am guessing it wouldn't be the chance for an 8th dock it would be the 7th which would leave me in the same boat. And yes I would be happy to buy either with in-game event currency but I can't as I bought them so.......What about letting the ppl who did buy them still be allowed to get the in-game event 1? That would seem fair right?

don't be afraid to punch higher. low dmg per round so snw pike is the meta as you can just direct the dmg to shields. as long as you dont lose shields, you shouldnt lose a ton of hull.

these are short round fights and all the dmg is low so asboring from round 1 is essential

so with snw pike, you already have extra 13% shield mit at the start of the combat (not to mention whatever research you might have. ksg for example)

Thanks MapleButter, awesome name by the way. Yeah we grabbed a territory yesterday to get a foothold but we really didn't think it would start sooner than the last however many there were. Of course we are used to a wipe and then the season starting the next week. We were just surprised when it started sooner. But like everything in this game we adjusted and came out stronger in the end. Appreciate you writing back. 🥰
