Well Q's 2 star trails are not self sustaining as claimed. Three days on a trot I run out of bells. There mot enough in the rewards for the f2p to complete one in one go.
Not a big deal but a problem when that's what's claimed.

@pseudo rune Essentially the event does not support the grind we need to do. Rather we have to grind stuff we may not need Instead. Same with the mining event coming up. G3 4 and 5 score. I need to mine lat that doesn't score neither does iso.

There's too many alb disrupting routine grinds at the moment. Players like me need a routine or we get lost.

Albs should support your normal grind not skew it. Some players are not happy with routine disruption.

There were only enough common fragments to unlock both the Ablative Armor and Orion FTs. Additional sourcing is not in the game yet. I'd wait to see what they do there, but if you have to have it now, there's an offer in the cash shop.

They're almost certainly the same. The toast popup messages are not good ways to determine score changes, and you should only check from inside the event page.

Autogrinding hostiles will earn 1pt no matter the FT status. You can earn 4pts if you have an FT equipped and attack manually.

An arc is basically a theme, often with multiple seasons/battlepasses/months. So we are currently on the third season/battlepass of the voyager arc. The end of an arc is almost always accompanied by an event store

In designing events, and measuring their success, I suggest not just using participation metrics - listen to your customers. Yes we can generally do lots of different hostile grinding events, but its not that enjoyable or what your customers generally want to do.

It's gotten ridiculous, particularly since all it does is inspire more griefers in the game to hit miners and armadas, which in turn causes servers to die as people quit.

I don't think anyone that works on the game actually plays it beyond "I wonder if this button works like we wanted it to."

If you want people to quit, the path they're on is the right path.

I spend less and less time in game myself. Just a constant barrage of doing stuff that rewards stuff that I can't use, not enough rewards for my level for the effort...

This. I just bashed 54 hostiles in home system. Easier than a reloc and chance a defeat. I did happen to be in a system that could defeat home hostiles. Took about 30 minute. Could’ve been faster in lower system.

Lol, I just moved from Obilient to Aker. Killed some hostiles and when I was almost done another player came for me two ops lvl under me. He even went for revenge and I killed him again! I waited for another attack, but I already completed the event by then.

The points would have meant something, if we were not given the comp chest. That comp chest was given to everyone to make up for the lag issue that prevented many from finishing their bp events. For you it means you can skip these extra events, for them it means they can finish the overflow.

I think formation armadas are bugged right now. It’s a coin flip whether you get the chest for winning or not. I did 3 in a row and nada. It’s why they pulled the Janeway formada event and made it hostiles this arc. Hopefully the extra week between arcs means they can iron out all these bugs 🤞

Oh, and the extra week between arcs is my speculation. No incursions prep this weekend means it’s next weekend, followed by incursions Friday Aug 4, then new arc Tuesday Aug 8

Anyone else skip the BP away team event? I know I did. I keep using up-all the speed ups I have that I use more than I earn. This event was very heavy in resources used to complete as well as very time consuming. In the future try to cut the time requirements for completion goals it was a very a tedious run. Its supposed to be a game and fun. I was able to unlock the new offers in this new arc but in past arc’s I missed unlocking officers..maybe tier officers a bit lower in shards requirements in the 1-5 level-so all players could have acces to them versus waiting for a chance to find them if you did not spend $100 to unlock them. Just my 2 cents.

I do see the patterns. Even the most sophisticated ones have a pattern, but so do manual "clickers" I know I do. My biggest clue is when I see multiple ships targeting in the same second. The upper limit of reaction hovers around 4/1000 ths of a second.. Add response delay to that so that if you see two are three ships target a hostile within one second, you are probably watching a bot. If you see a single ship grinding, you are probably watching a human

Then let the players pick and choose which ones they want to do each day. Though if they are leaderboard events, would have to figure out how you can score towards it fairly. But that balance is notoriously difficult to put together.

auto grind is one thing, but there are still botters that set up their ships to engage hostiles all night. We've reported several on S36 and Scopely doesn't care. So this event is geared for them since you know, they spend more money.

• Remember to visit Event Store, get your Initiate Avatar, must be used to start scoring
• Once you have done first mile stone, you get Bounty Hunter Avatar, this opens Group Armada scoring for SMS and new SLB (Eclipse Work)
• Next Milestone is Veteran Avatar, this opens up Group/Solo Armadas for SMS Scoring

Each Avatar is unique for scoring and SLB's for them. IF you have Bounty Hunter Avatar, killing hostiles will not score on the Initiate SLB, but will for SMS for Example.

Summer Hunt

Goto the Event Store and claim the "Initiate Avatar" - YOU MUST USE CORRESPONDING AVATARS TO SCORE

Once you have the Initiate Avatar Equipped, you are on the first part of the event. The Initiate Avatar is the only way to score for the Initiate SLB and scores 1 point per hostile for the SMS/SLB.

After you have completed the first milestone you will have unlocked the "Bounty Hunter" Avatar. When you equip this new Avatar you will now be able to score on the SMS through group Armadas (Eclipse do score for this). It also opens up another SLB for Hostiles and Group Armadas however while you have this avatar equipped you will not score on the Initiate SLB

The same things will happen when you unlock the Veteran Avatar, a new SLB will open up that scores only on Group and Solo Armadas, when you have the Veteran Avatar Equipped - you will be able to score points via Solo and Group Armadas for the SMS but not on the other two SLBs (Bounty Hunter and Initiate)

The event Store is similar in style to the Dabo Event Store, it is best to use all the currency you get, to avoid wasting any currency as this event is unlikely to run again.

Tips
-Augment and Revenge Hostiles score points, for the first milestone I parked a few ships in Augment and used one active ship to do my FH.
-Spam some Eclipse Armadas for Bounty Hunter section with your alliance, launch them staggered and get them done faster or join multiple if you have a few Stellas.
